3 Nights on Hamilton Island
Overall we really enjoyed our stay on Hamilton Island. The condo was clean and had beautiful views over Catseye Beach and the bay. Having a 3rd floor (top floor) balcony provided the best view. There were kangaroos eating the grass right below our balcony on a nightly basis and Cockatoos that would fly up and land right on the railing. Each room comes with its own golf cart to use, which is a great amenity and makes it very easy to get around the island, whether that's up to One Tree Hill for sunset or into the marina for food or getting groceries at the IGA. One thing to note, there isn't an elevator in the complex so be ready to climb the stairs, not an issue for us. A few more items to cook with would be helpful, such as a frying pan and a cutting board. Also, there was an ironing board but we couldn't find an iron. We reached out via text to our "valet" Steve and he never responded. He was at the airport when we arrived and very helpful that day, but never responded to the iron question and never reached out the day before we left to coordinate our departure. When we came back to the room after a walk on the beach the morning of our departure, he was in cleaning, but never even acknowledged that he hadn't reached out or established our departure time to the airport. Again, ,clean place, no musty smell which can happen in the tropical climate and great location. Private pool area never crowded and only a few more steps to the beach. A very nice place to relax.
