Beach Retreat - the perfect seaside escape.

  • Beach Retreat is a chalet-style beach house, a comfortable and cosy place to unwind. All-round views of seaside and countryside. Relax in a deckchair on the raised decking or in the private beach garden; stroll along the beach to Whitstable with its boutiques, restaurants and busy fishing harbour. Ideal for walkers and birdwatchers, with the Saxon Shore Way and Oare Marshes Reserve close by. The cathedral city of Canterbury is just a short drive away.

Superb short break. There was a water shortage across the area, the host warned is and gave us the option to cancel. We went ahead anyway and she made certain we had plenty of bottled water for our 2 night stay. Seasalter is beautiful and the property gives the best views. Loved it and will return.

A lovely 2 nights in the perfect little beach side home. Was a little warm with no fans etc but can’t complain when you have the doors open to a beautiful beach. Neighbours were super friendly area was perfect.

From the moment we arrived we knew we would be booking again in the near future. From the beautiful, cosy chalet to a location to die for (sand, sea and endless sky to the front and a nature reserve behind) it was everything we wished for.

Breathtaking view

We had a wonderful stay in Beach Retreat - the perfect escape from London life and truly memorable experience. The house was cosy and the view amazing. We loved sitting out on the decking and even had a swim in the sea at the end of the garden! Thank you Melinda for being very accommodating with our children and allowing us to check in early.

Idyllic chalet in beautiful Seasalter

This tasteful and well appointed chalet with great facilities is very close to the seafront, which you reach through a nice back garden. Swimming here was great as the shelf is quite steep so you get a good amount of time either side of high tide. The place itself is a pleasure to stay in and we can't wait to come again.

A beautiful bungalow right by the seafront with stunning views over the sea to watch the birds and nature go by. The bungalow has everything you need to spend a relaxing stay. It was the right size for my partner and I and our 11 yo son. Melinda was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended!

A little gem on the south coast

The beach retreat is wonderful. It was very clean and cosy, everything you could want was there. The view is outstanding whether you are outside watching/listening to the sea or watching the sunset or snugged up indoors with a cuppa. It was so relaxing - thank you Malinda for sharing your little gem, I hope to return soon x
