Black Spruce - Green Door

  • Yukon Black Spruce es uno de los alojamientos más singulares de Whitehorse. A solo seis minutos del aeropuerto internacional, Black Spruce cuenta con cuatro cabañas independientes de diseño arquitectónico, cada una identificada por el color de sus puertas. Inspiradas en los hoteles paisajísticos de Europa, las cabañas se alzan sobre rocas y se integran con delicadeza en el bosque boreal. Los huéspedes acceden a las cabañas desde una pasarela central de madera de cedro. Las grandes ventanas orientadas al sur, de 10 pies por 10 pies, te sumergen en las vistas del bosque boreal. Very clean and nice property. Close to whitehorse. Lots of amenities inside of the property. Bathroom shower is a bit small but overall great experiance and would stay here again.

Really enjoyed the well equipped cabin in a natural space just outside of town. Noticeable attention to detail in design and function of the space. Peaceful and private. Enjoyed taking in the view during morning coffee, even spotted a fox waking through the forest.

Really loved this cabin in the woods. The attention to detail is next level. I spent an afternoon cozied up with one of the many beautiful "picture books" on offer. Enjoying the huge window with the dappled sun shining through the trees. It's tiny, but every inch is well intentioned. I appreciated all the outdoor night lights that lit a path for us to go looking for the Northern Lights .

Amazing place to stay! Sauna was awesome and incredible view! Pairs was an excellent host. Hot showers and water, super comfy bed, would highly recommend!

Honestly one of the most beautiful spots I’ve ever stayed in! I highly recommend this place! The host was nice enough to even drive us to the other place we where staying with out bikes and luggage. 11/10 easy

Wonderful stay in a beautiful place

We just checked out this morning from our 2 night stay at the Black Spruce. As we travelled with our dog, we booked the pet friendly Green Door unit. We had no problems with the booking or checking in process. Laird was very clear with his directions and suggestions. The unit was lovely. It reminded us of the Nordic architecture which we saw in Iceland last year - clean simple lines with attention to sustainability. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable bed while watching the swaying trees through the enormous windows. With the other units, each is situated in such a way that privacy is maintained. One unit was occupied for 1 night and we had no idea that they were there until the next morning. Highly recommend booking Black Spruce for your next Whitehorse trip!

Aurora Hunting

My wife and I snuck away to this little cabin tucked in the woods in hopes of losing ourselves in nature. Black Spruce did not disappoint. It was on the edge of town, perfect distance to be away from it all. There are three cabins but the way they are built detailed design and layout of the property offers lots of privacy and beautiful views from the "Green" Cabin We came at the beginning of the “fake Spring” and there was still ice and snow but the walkways were maintained well. The sauna was amazing after a day out enjoying the brisk weather. Inside the cabin, you the cabin feels roomy and comfortable with small touches that add to the experience. There were QR codes for tips on seeing the northern lights, places to eat, and attractions. It made us feel more like locals. It’s a short drive, around 30 minutes, to the Hot Springs and Nature Preserves. The host was very quick to respond to all of our messages and was very nice to meet. It was also very nice to see the efforts to be green and protect Mother Nature while also enjoying it. I would highly recommend this cabin to any couple that wanted their own Yukon adventure.
