Unfortunately it was a cold and wet day when we arrived.
After climbing a very narrow winding staircase to our apartment - some 40 or so steps - it was disappointing to find that the rooms were very cold as no heating had been switched on in anticipation of our arrival. After switching on the underfloor heating it did begin to warm up, but to add to the frustration this did not appear to work in the main bedroom or the ‘en suite’. A free standing electric heater was provided but wasn’t easy to switch on having a very puzzling control panel. The ‘final straw’ was the supposedly heated towel rail in the second bathroom ( shower / toilet ) didn’t work either. A second heater did work ok.
We had been promised a free parking ticket would be left in the apartment but this wasn’t there. I did speak to the host lady who apologised and arranged for it to be delivered early next morning and it did arrive. On the plus side the place was reasonably well furnished and the beds were comfortable - albeit that you had to be careful not to bang your head due to the low and sloping roof.
Overall it was disappointing I’m afraid, having booked for two nights, we decided to leave after the first thus avoiding the requirement to check out by 10am.
