Lovely cottage clean and welcoming. Everything you need like home from home. Well placed for visiting different places. Great view of the coastline. Great if your a walker or cylist have the Rodwell Trail on your doorstep.

Schönes kleines Haus für Minibreak
Nahe der Halbinsel und wenigen Fahrminuten nach Weymouth gelegen war das kleine Häuschen für unseren Minibreak die perfekte Wahl. Es war klein und doch hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Für ein Paar genau die richtige Größe. Die Jurasic Coast und das Hinterland locken zu Zahlreichen Ausflügen. Die voll ausgestattete Küche haben wir nur für das Frühstück genutzt, da wir eigentlich die ganze Zeit unterwegs waren. Es war sehr ruhig und erholsam.

Great Location
Tucked away just off the Rodwell Trail means that you can easily walk into Weymouth or Portland whilst enjoying some lovely views. Then you get to come back to this lovely home to relax in. It provided everything that we were looking for, clean with comfortable beds and sofa. Communication from Suzanne was very good, ensuring that we had all of the information that we needed.

Anchor Cottage at Wike Regis, England
The Cottage was everything that we expected. It was clean, well supplied, quiet and close to walking paths and public transportation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Jolie maison
Superbe endroit. Maison bien équipée. Belle vue, bord de l'eau à 2min. Parking privé. Juste un petit bemol pour les Français/Belges : prévoir adaptateur pour les prises electriques. Et aussi un séchoir pour étendre le linge car nous ne l'avons pas trouvé. Pour le reste parfait🙂 Nous recommandons!

The best stay I've ever had in Great Britain
A very clean house in a beautiful area.. We had everything we needed in the house and had a very warm welcome. Comfortable beds and nice furniture. Nice garden and it was so quiet to stay there. A stunning view from the house to the bay and Portland. We can absolutely recommend Anchor Cottage.

Property is very nice overall and beautiful views. However there was quite a few cobwebs on walls and windows which were gathering dust and I have a severe dust allergy. I think the bedding and sofas might need spraying to kill off dust mites too as my allergies were awful during the time spent in the house and started affecting my sleep. Beds were bit soft for our liking but that’s a personal preference. Lovely property but probably wouldn’t stay here again due to personal reasons.

I’m sorry to hear of your severe allergy. We expect our cleaning to be of a high standard and previous guests’ comments have complimented us on this. However I will be sure to mention this to our cleaner. I can assure you that both our mattresses and sofa covers are regularly steam cleaned. I’m glad you thought the property was lovely and enjoyed the views.

Wonderfull House for Holidays
We had very nice days in your house! The furnishing was very nice and there was all we needed. Also the house was good situated to the coast, nice view to portland harbour. We maked some walks to Weymouth and to Chesil Beach. And often we used the bus, the coasters with the open deck was very funny for the kids.

Great little house
We found the house to be perfectly located to explore Weymouth and the surrounding area. Just a short walk from a small beach and the Rodwell Trail is on the doorstep. The house is really well equipped and good for a short stay. Thank you for having us!

This was a lovely place to stay. Nice homely feel. Secure and inviting. Only concern was no tumble drier for clothes, bearing in mind we visited in October, which made managing clothing a bit tricky. Otherwise, Loved the place.

Very happy to have stayed here - the positive reviews are well warranted.
Everything we could have wanted was catered for in this stay. The house was clean, modernly furnished, and fully equipped - from the kitchen to the BBQ outdoors (though we didn't use it). The location of the property was ideal - a short drive into Weymouth town centre or a short walk (~2 minutes) to a bus stop where a regular bus service that runs from the early hours of the morning till late in the evening. If you don't want to eat out every evening, there's a Lidl only 5-10 minutes away by car on Portland island. Communication with the owners was great and the check-in / check-out process was very smooth. A very professionally-arranged service. Beyond that, from a subjective perspective, the views of the sea were lovely to look at each morning. All of the positive reviews are well-warranted in my opinion. Much appreciated.

Perfect location!
The property was in the perfect location. A few minutes walk to the beach. A short drive into Weymouth or bike or walk along the trail if you're feeling more energetic. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The shortbread biscuits went down a treat!

Great location and high quality fittings & fixtures
Really comfortable house just seconds from the Rodwell Trail and SW coastal path. Lovely back garden if you just want to relax.. Only minor problem was being unable to open shed as the door is stuck at the bottom, but this in no way prevented a marvellous break. Will definitely book again.

Das Haus ist ein Endhaus von 4 Reihenhäusern. Ein kleiner aber feiner Garten gehört dazu. Es ist alles etwas klein für 4 Erwachsene und auch nur genau für 4 alles vorhanden, so dass die Spülmaschine halfvoll läuft, oder die Handwäsche nötig ist. Super Ausstattung, alles da, gute Töpfe, Pfannen in top Qualität. Weiche Betten, Platz in den Schränken, alles in Ordnung.

Nice break after COVID restriction
I found this property through web search and chose it just from the pictures. Didn’t have time to check the reviews ! Upon arrival, we were not disappointed at all. We loved the property just enough for us. Enjoyed the sunset from the sea view point just around the corner! Beaches are quite short drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Home from home!
Lovely property for our stay with home comforts of good wifi, TV entertainment and Nespresso machine. Lovely big bed and lots of cupboard/hangers/towels etc. Nice touch of milk and biscuits, plus lots of essentials washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, salt/pepper etc make it so easy. Central location for Chesil Beach, Portland, Monkey World, Abbotsbury Swannery. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfect!
Perfect location to explore this beautiful area. Lovely, comfy cottage with views over Chesil beach. Extremely well kept, clean and well equipped. We had such a lovely, relaxed week and will be back soon. Ideal as a base to visit the many spectacular places along the coast… Walk down Portland to the lighthouse, Golden Cap and Hells Lane. Visit Seatown, Burton Bradstock and Eype beaches. Great place to eat close by. Crab House Cafe, which is so not a cafe and serves the best oysters, shellfish and fish! Billy Winters, right on the beach for brekkie or great brunch…watch the windsurfers. Highly recommended. Book it now!
