Beautiful spacious home in a beautiful setting. And, as a bonus, it was peak season for leaf color. I love the attention to detail that helps make this such an outstanding place to stay (e.g. nightlights). Great communication as well.

Very remote house offering quiet getaway. No A/C was a challenge as the weather for August was much warmer than usual. However, that was the only negative. The house is beautiful, easily slept 4 adults and 2 kids, the private lake was filled with small mouth bass to catch & release, the beds were nice and firm, kitchen was filled with everything you need to cook, wifi was strong. Lovely house!

Our family loved this cabin! We enjoyed the beautiful open indoor space, the large jetted bathtub, and the wrap-around deck looking out into the woods. The only issue we had was that the wi-fi didn’t work on the deck. We brought our ATV and took advantage of the nearby state forest trails.

Beautiful setting in the woods and on the lake. This is a clean, very well-built home. Lake is a five minute hike down a somewhat steep hill. Home is well equipped and owners were very responsive. Greta location for visiting Pictured Rocks and enjoying the quiet.

Beautiful home!

So enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! The setting in the woods on a lake was just perfect. The house was homey, clean and had everything needed for our stay. We really enjoyed using the pizza oven. Lisa was great with communication, answering questions, and checked in with us before and during our stay. We can't wait to come back again to this gem in the woods in our favorite place in the UP!

location was perfect for pictured rock visit. house was good size. was warm inside (although cool outside), deep inside the woods, so be prepared for bugs (nice outside deck but hard to use).had lots of options for cooking, which worked well for us.

Escape the hustle & bustle!

My family and I stayed at La Casita for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived Lisa had left a delicious loaf of local bread and jam as a anniversary gift! Thank you again! The location is very quiet and remote yet really very conveniently located and easy to get to many trails, outlooks, waterfalls, etc. The cabin itself was super clean, cozy, well stocked, and well decorated. The luxury appliances, the pizza oven, and the heated tile were a great addition to the experience. The deck is HUGE. My kids loved catching fish (all bass) and paddling around the lake with not a soul in sight. We would definitely love to come back!

We have stayed at numerous cabins, this by far was the best! Absolutely beautiful,everything top notch, From bed linens to kitchen tableware, beautiful Property, the town of munising and the boat tour are beautiful, Dutch Fred lake has beautiful trails for 4 -wheelers!!! Peaceful Retreat

Beautiful home in a peaceful and relaxing setting. Close enough to all the things to do in Munising but far enough away to relax in nature. The small secluded lake offered great fishing, swimming and canoeing / kayaking. This unique timber peg built home left us in awe. They just don't build them like that any more. The wrap around deck is amazing. Our family connected like never before. The best choice of place to stay we have ever made. I hope to visit again maybe in the fall.

Great house - quite secluded!

The living areas are great - well stocked kitchen, plenty of amenities. The upstairs bedrooms are small but the only really annoying thing was no where to hang clothes. Seriously need a rod in the closet space. Beware that there is NO shower in the master bedroom .... just a tub. There is a shower upstairs and in the basement, but that just seems weird. When the host sends you directions to the house, pay attention! It would be difficult to find as she is correct, GPS is basically useless. The "road" to the house is very narrow but it is exactly where her directions indicated. Before you trek down the steep hill to the lake on the overgrown path, be advised that there is a road about 100 yards past the house .... a much easier walk! Overall, I would stay here again. Plenty of room to spread out.

UP slice of heaven

We had a great time at the property. The first thing we all noticed was how clean it was upon arrival. The description was spot on and it was a perfect place for me, my wife, and our closest friends. The location was remote enough to be peaceful, yet close to all that the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore has to offer. Just a few miles to Munising, with easy access to Marquette, Tahquamenon falls, Kitch-iti-kipi, and so much more. After hiking, biking, and kayaking all over the area, we didn’t really spend a lot of time outside at the property. But, the area and lake looked quite nice. It was overall a great stay.

Great getaway

This was a wonderful house for our family of 7. It was peaceful and serene and a quick trip from Munising, which was perfect for quick access to hiking, kayak tours, etc. We enjoyed being able to utilize the kitchen for breakfast and packing lunches. There isn’t a shower in the master suite, only a tub, but with two other showers in the house it was an easy pivot. Plus, after a long day of hiking the bath was a nice way to end the day. We will definitely consider renting here again for our next trip to beautiful Munising.

Hermosa Casa de Campo

Beautiful Cottage! Inside was clean and had everything a family needs to make your stay feel like home. Our trip was shortened due to airline problems, so we didn’t get to enjoy the outside. However we would definitely return and stay here again in the future.

Clean and Cozy

We had 4 adults in our group. Very spacious and clean. Close to our favorite restaurants and ATV trails. Had everything we needed. Tucked back off the main road on the lake, very quiet. Loved our stay and will be back.

Forest Retreat

This was a lovely home on a small lake surrounded by forest. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped and living areas nicely furnished with plenty of space for our group of 6 to visit and yet not feel crowded with a nice assortment of board games. It is about 15 minutes outside of Munising surrounded by Hiawatha National Forest and was a good base for exploring Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It had good internet-wifi connection but I had no cell phone signal and only intermittent texting capability. This was not a negative for our group as we wanted to sight-see and interact with each other and email was fine to stay in touch with others. Overall a very nice experience.
