The smaller version to the Restin' at Weston

  • A quaint little cabin in beautiful southern Colorado. Perfect for couples or small families that want to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. The cabin will sleep 6, but is more favorable to 5 or less. If you have small children, 6 will work. If you group consists of larger people, you may prefer the Restin' that is up the hill. You may hike around the cabin or choose to somewhere more public like the Spanish Peaks, North Lake, Monument Lake, or somewhere near Cuchara.
    The cabin has a queen bed in master bedroom. There is a loft that has 4 twin beds as well. There is only 1 bathroom, but we now have a washer and dryer. The kitchen has the amenities that you need to cook. There is also a charcoal grill that may be used.
    You have 2 places to choose from to have your morning coffee or evening nightcap. There is a covered porch on the front as well as a deck with a wonderful view o f the mountain behind.
    There is a small living room with a TV, and we now have internet. With Verizon you will have cell coverage.
    We generally close this cabin from December to March due to having a crawl space and the cost to heating it. If you wish to stay during this time frame, send us a note and we will consider it.

Calm and peaceful

Wonderful place me and my wife loved it as well as our pets.lots of wild life.humming birds,deer,elk and also so a bear down the road coming in that evening around 5.we will definitely be back.

Cabin was awesome

We were in the area for a family reunion. The cabin was awesome. The location was easy to find and so remote! Just what we were looking for! Would recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet!

A perfect vacation place

We drove from Texas to stay in this lovely cabin. It was a great vacation, the cabin is roomy and very well equipped for everything that is needed. Loved eating our meals outside on the patios! The mountain behind a cabin is a great hike and it is full of animals; we really enjoyed it. Very highly recommended, a great place to stay.

Lil Restin

This was our second time staying at the Lil Restin and we absolutely love it. The cabin has been maintained well and it is very clean. The host kept in contact and made check in easy. We enjoyed sitting on the porches and watching all the hummingbirds. It’s a great getaway to enjoy peace and quiet. We will be back!

Beautiful country cabin with wildlife!

Booking and checking in was very easy. The area is absolutely stunning! From the great sand dunes to northern New Mexico all are close enough to explore. We came across all kinds of wildlife during our stay. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Wi-Fi is very good. It seems small from the photos but we never felt cramped. We would definitely stay here again.

Little Restin

Cabin was as expected! Wonderful location away from hustle and bustle but close enough to activities like biking, fishing and hiking that it wasn’t an all day trip getting there. Cabin very cozy and comfortable. I highly recommend this place and plan on returning in the near future. Owner was very responsive and took care of us and made sure our stay was as close to perfect as it could be.

Wonderful place

This is our 2nd year and will be back to enjoy the fishing, quietness, beautiful scenery. We caught in 3 days the limit for each day. Great vacation. Charles and Cindy Harvey Bring condiments salt pepper etc

Private cabin

We really enjoyed the location and the cabin. The only improvements we could suggest would be to add screens or screen doors so that you could open the doors for some circulation and fresh air. The sulphur water was a surprise, but we've had that before and it wasn't a concern. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Host was very accessible.

Pleasant Little Cabin

I was pleased at the location of the cabin. It was easily accessible. We were very comfortable despite it looking so small. We didn't spend so much time at the cabin since we were out fishing but it easily met our needs. The scenery was lovely out the kitchen window and the loft as well. Woud definitely recommend it to others.

Just right

The description of the cabin and the area do not do it justice. Went looking for peace and quite and found it. There were two other cabins/house on the same drive, but to see someone else was very rare. Cabin had the right amount of modern conveniences. The hosts left very good directions on some fantastic drives and hikes. Cabin was very well kept up. Wildlife was all around you. Good place to go and lose the world for a while. Will be returning again.

Gem in Colorado!

Wow, I can't say enough about this property. The cabin is adorable. The loft area would be perfect for kids. The master bedroom bed is super comfortable with really nice, silky sheets. Great kitchen-it had everything we needed and a cute little oven/stovetop, perfect for a smaller space. The living area was perfect. We didn't watch TV (we had the great windows to look out of!) but there is a nice TV in the living area. There's no kitchen table but a cool wooden bar with stools, or you can eat outside on the porch where there is a table and chairs. The porch provides fantastic entertainment: tons of hummingbirds were still there (late August), and we were visited nightly by the very kind neighbor's horses that are allowed to roam. They are friendly and love the beautiful unmowed native grasses that surround the cabin. I loved the natural feel of the area. The location of the cabin? So perfect that we looked at property for sale in the area just to dream. It's easy to find the cabin thanks to the owner's directions, but is located off of a wonderful-to-drive road full of wildlife (we saw a heard of 60 elk one night!). In addition, the actual road on which the cabin is located is wonderful. The next door neighbor (and owner of the wandering horses) is a brisk 5 min walk down the road and was super nice. You have the place to yourself! It's unreal! And gorgeous! We saw deer daily, too. Jared, one of the owners, called me right after I made the reservation and spent probably 20 minutes telling me about the cabin and recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area, several of which we did (The Dog Bar was great and was perfect for our dog, and the West Spanish Peaks trail was gorgeous!). We only had 2 full days here, but will definitely be back. I can't recommend it highly enough. It was perfect for 2 people but had sleeping enough for 6. Kids would think the loft is fantastic and would adore the location and grounds on which to explore. The one warning: the water does indeed smell like sulphur here. At Jared's recommendation, we brought bottled water for teeth brushing and drinking water. I'm pretty sensitive to the smell but it didn't bother my husband that much. Just be prepared for stinky water when you shower, but you come out smelling just fine. ;-) This is a gem in Colorado for sure!

Relaxing

Very sweet cabin. Dogs loved the walks and near by lakes. Dogs are exhausted, sleeping hours once home. Only wish we could have stayed longer. 2 nights wasn't long enough! Thank you!

Wonderful time in the Mountains.

We stayed at the cabin for the Labor Day Weekend break and were very happy. The place was perfect for my wife and I and our dog. Amazing stars at night, we can't wait to visit again in the future.

Great, relaxing trip

The house was perfect for our needs with two human adults and two basset hounds. We loved the private, remote location and it was a close drive to Stonewall, Monument Lake, and North Lake. We used the kitchen for quite a few meals and everything worked great. We also used the washer and dryer which was a nice surprise. Jared was helpful and very quick to respond. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful cabin, location, and host! This was our second stay and we will be back again!

Jared is amazing to work with as a host! Cabin was clean and we greatly enjoyed our second visit. The scenery is beautiful and we enjoy hiking on the property and surrounding areas.

Wonderful and comfortable cabin in gorgeous country!

Our stay was delightful - Jared reached out to us before our stay to see what we might need in advance, such as tips on things to do in the area. The cabin was super comfy and in the most beautiful area. Getting up each morning and looking out at the land and mountains was so relaxing! The property had everything we needed and then some to be comfortable throughout our stay. Definitely recommend! :-)

Little Restin at Weston

Perfect getaway. We really enjoyed our stay at the little cabin. We loved the peace and quiet. The hosts were fantastic and kept in touch before and after our trip. I can’t say enough about our stay. We were given great driving directions and instructions for the cabin. The cabin was clean and cozy. The location was perfect! The view from the cabin was also very lovely. We loved hiking the mountain behind the cabin, taking evening walks down the road and seeing wild life , and sitting on the porch. Location of cabin is not far from other activities. We hiked West Spanish Peak during our stay. Local neighbors also very friendly. We will be back!

Great little cabin

The cabin was awesome, the location was even more amazing. The one and only complaint is the water smelt really bad, we brought our own water for drinking but even showering was a little rough with the smell. But other than that everything was really amazing.
