We recently stayed at this property for a work-related trip. The location worked well for us, and the check-in process was straightforward and easy to navigate.That said, there were several aspects of the stay that did not meet expectations. Upon entering the home, there was a strong animal urine odor that persisted throughout the visit and made it difficult to be comfortable in the space. The couches were also in a condition where we felt it was necessary to place our own covers over them due to both cleanliness concerns and the odor coming from them.Additionally, the side and backyard areas had multiple piles of dog waste.We also found that the home’s condition and overall appearance did not align with the listing photos, which was disappointing upon arrival.

The cottage was cute, clean, toasty on a cold fall night, and had everything we needed for our stay. The cottage appeared to be getting some aesthetic updating, and the new windows were warm and secure. Our 2 Chihuahuas vacationed with us and loved hiking the beautiful preserve across the street as well as the Champlin Glacier preserve about 1 mile down the same road. Our hosts were quick to respond and accomodating with any needs we had. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will visit again!

Cute place great location, could use some TLC, paint chipping etc. the t.v. wasn’t working but we were able to get it to. Coffee maker had old grinds with mold in it. Plenty of dishes and other kitchen supplies. Would stay again.

We did not need the laundry, but new appliances were in the basement available for use. It is a fairly secluded location, with 2 bedrooms (one with bunk beds), living room , full bath with shower only, kitchen and small eating area for 4. There is a front deck with seating for 4 with table, and an outdoor firepit. Walmart superstore within a mile that has eveything you may forget to bring! :)

Pet friendly, good location but not sure where the ocean view is that's listed in the description. Bathroom is tiny. The bed was comfortable however it would be difficult for any one on the petite side to get in as it sits extremely high. Probably a,10" mattress on top of a 10" box spring on a raised bed (probably could just use the mattress) No paper towels. If you use towels the property owner wants you to wash them. Washer and dryer are in the basement and there are no handrails on basement steps. A major liability issue if someone would take a tumble. The location was great and close to many things.and for the price it wasn't bad. However on that note i would recommend making some improvements such as new windows (old & dirty) and replacing worn out torn sofa with a sofa bed. If those improvements were made I would be willing to pay more and return again.

Check in/out was super easy. Close to the beach in a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the quiet mornings on the front porch and quiet evenings in the backyard with a fire. Was enough space for my small family and small dogs. Beds were comfy and convenient to have a washer and dryer in the house. This will be our new yearly vacation spot!

Great location, responsive owners, but smaller than expected. It would be great for a writing retreat. The peach pass was very helpful and made access easy to the town beach which has a large ramp for those with walkers or wheelchairs. Enjoyed overall.

Listing is deceiving, and property needs a deep clean.

The pictures are outdated/misleading/false. You are paying for the location and beach pass, thats it. If the advertisement said “rustic cottage, just like camping,” that would be more accurate. Imbummed I wasted my families annual vacation here. The house is in serious need of a deep clean; lots of dust and dirt in all the corners. My daughter’s feet turned black from walking around with no socks on. Im not sure where the cleaning fee goes. Very buggy, lots of dead bugs in the light fixtures, corners, windowsills, etc. The living room couches smell so musty and gross but you cant open any of the windows (except the bathroom since the fan doesnt work) because there is foam pieces and duct tape covering up the holes in the window frames. Many of the windows dont have curtains or shades, because they are broken off. Lots of broken items; hammock rolled in a dirty ball in the basement, headboard broken with super sharp edge, Grill was filthy (didnt make our steaktips). Chairs by firepit were filthy and unusable. Grass could have been mowed and partner found two ticks on him, but that is just RI I guess. Mouse poop in cabinet that I had to clean out. Battery hanging out of fire alarm.chicken coop next door is overgrown with no chickens and I believe a skunk is living there and we heard it screaming at night. We had to keep dog/child away. Neighboring house by same owner goes for similar price and seems to be much nicer.

Beautiful weather

Beautiful weather, house was comfortable for us. Bathroom was small with little space to put stuff. Kitchen was adequately equipped for meals. Not fancy. Location was great. Would stay again

Ideal Spot

This is a great little getaway in a very nice neighborhood. It is my second time here. It was easy to take my dogs for daily walks. It is close to many stores and is about 1.5 miles away from the beach. They lend you their beach pass to Wuskenau Beach which is a nice beach next to Misquamicut. The cottage is clean and the beds are comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here again. Thank you Fausto and Cheryl.
