Gorgeous vintage cabin, meticulously well kept. Comfortable living and sleeping spaces for our trip to Westcliffe. Magnificent surrounds of pine and aspen trees. We loved it and will be back! Thank you.

What an amazing property! Private, gorgeous setting, wrap around porch, all at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, which is stunning! We loved it and have already talked about planning another trip, so many things to do!!!Vanessa offered so much information about the area and was quick to respond throughout our booking & stay. Stunning setting but what really made the stay special was the host's attention to detail in furnishing and provisioning the property. All matters during the stay were addressed professionally and promptly! Our stay could not have been more perfect.

Amazing stay

We stayed at the luxury log home several nights in August and it was amazing. The location is gorgeous and the home was everything we hoped for. The hosts were super responsive and all instructions were really clear. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to vacation near the Sangre de Cristo mountains.

It was a quiet retreat, and you can’t beat the beautiful location. We had direct access to the Rainbow Trail and Lake of the Clouds. Conveniently close to the small town charm of Westcliffe. The property was lovely, spacious, and well equipped with a pond and a four-sided deck. Surrounded by Aspens. Communication with the owner was smooth. If you are looking for a quiet retreat in the mountains, book this cabin.

Beautiful and peaceful

The place was beautiful and so peaceful. It is a bit of a drive from the main road but you feel like you are in the middle of the pure nature. The house is fully equipped and comfortable. It has that log cabin charm but modern amenities. There were some issues with cleaning but Vanessa promptly addressed it and refunded our cleaning fee. She was extremely responsive and kind and I would recommend this place to my friends. One of our friends said it was her dream cabin. We all cooked, grilled and had coffee on the deck with the birds each morning.

Beautiful cabin, relaxing atmosphere

The cabin is beautiful - the property is on about 4-5 acres and is very, very quiet - we sat on the deck and stargazed. There are so many aspen and pine trees - there is also a creek running on the land & a good sized pond. The cabin has everything you need to have a perfect getaway. We will definitely return - our little chihuahua was exhausted from all the walking :)

5 Weeks in Paradise

We just spent 5 glorious weeks at this beautiful home. The Hostess, Vanessa, could not be more welcoming and accommodating. You will want to return again soon to this little piece of heaven in Westcliffe, Colorado. Everything you need and then some. Thanks Vanessa for offering your home as a VRBO. We will be back again!!! This amazing log home is a dream mountain getaway! Completely surrounded by beautiful aspen and pine trees, it’s incredibly quiet and relaxing. Being there in later September meant the aspens were changing colors and were more vibrant each morning. The only sounds you’ll hear are the rustling leaves and the babbling creek.Every side of the wraparound deck offers a different view with comfortable Adirondack chairs, porch swings and picnic tables that are perfectly placed. We were also greeted by momma deer and her two babies that came through the property one evening and several other deer wandered through during our stay.The star gazing was absolutely incredible! From both the wraparound deck and the nearby Summit Park in town, we observed the most amazing night sky including the Milky Way!This was also the cleanest Vrbo we’ve ever stayed in by a long shot. The entie house was spotless and the kitchen was pristine and stocked with all the appliances and cookware you could want. From amenities to décor, Vanessa and Shawn have truly thought of everything. It feels like a home away from home.

Mini Family Reunion

This property was fabulous. Wonderful night sky as the homes are far enough apart and there are no outside lights to disturb the stars. That was so perfect. My husband and I had fun sitting on the front porch and relaxing in the chairs around the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed. The basement with the bunkroom had all the fun area and we were very comfortable there. The temperatures for the week were perfect and then the space was perfect. All the beds were so comfortable. The location was outside of Westcliff and we enjoyed being away from the noise and commotions. We tripped to Salida, Bishop's Castle, and other beautiful areas. So nice. The home would make a great destination for a winter vacation as well. Such a beautiful home.

House was very comfortable and very clean. Pool was great on the hot days. Close to all the beaches and restaurants We had a great time. This was our first time visiting this area and will definitely be back. Hated to leave when our stay was over.
