They didn't have no room service to clean up the room at night, they offer not to charge the night but they didn't offer another room due it was full. "Our stay at the HIE in Jackson was nice. The service was attentive and the room was clean. Breakfast was as expected with the options slightly changed up over our stay. I visited the exercise room. It's quite dated and one of the TVs didn't work. I'll live. Overall, nice stay. "

"This is our favorite place to stay in Amador County. The hotel is a gas, very old timey and well maintained. We made dinner reservations and the food and service and atmosphere were impeccable! "The house may be small, but it's perfect for a couple's getaway. The place was clean, cozy, and best of all, quiet. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals, and the wood stove just adds to the rustic vibe. Definitely would stay again!"

"For anyone who knows the history surrounding this part of the country, gold was discovered arounf 1849 and it changed thousands of peoples lives. So to actually live in a real miners house, well you couldn't have asked for a better place. Thank you Gorden for keeping history alive. By the way the bathroom is unbelievable, hats off to you!"

"This was a little piece of heaven. We were in the area for a family members wedding. The house acted as a meeting spot for family to tuch basis and plan. It was nice and quiet, with beautifully lit pathways and ample outside areas to relax. The decorations in the home were done with care for detail. I highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing weekend getaway, or vacation rental. It won't disappoint. 👍😊"
