Sylvan Lakes Quiet Place

  • **Please read full description** This is a 1 1/2 story home that I stay in when I am not traveling for work. It is not a shared space so you will have the house to yourself, however upstairs is off limits to guest. You will have access to everything downstairs which includes guest bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, living room and a fully stocked kitchen.
    If you are planning on bringing a pet you must have my approval first and pay the additional non refundable pet fee before checking in. Aggressive breeds are not allowed. The back yard is fully fenced in but there could be areas a small dog could escape so you may want to check it before releasing your dog.

    This home is in a very quiet, safe subdivision. It's safe to walk the neighborhood. There's also a playground at the entrance of the subdivision you could walk or drive to.
    Town is only about 5 mins away. There are many restaurants that deliver if you like to stay in. Check out my guidebook!

I had a wonderful stay at this property in West Monroe. The listing description was very accurate, and the property was exactly as advertised. Everything was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and ready for our arrival.The host was very friendly, responsive, and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the experience even more enjoyable.Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. I would gladly stay here again in the future.

Amber was by far one of the best hostesses I’ve ever dealt with. Her house was more than accommodating as was she, answering all my questions and I always felt that she had a nice smile while doing it. 5 stars for sure

This was my second stay at this property. Property owner did not provide access information until the day after the start of the stay (and only after I requested it). Toilet handle was broken (was informed of that after I arrived), storm door would not latch, there was carpet tack strip nails exposed at the threshold of the bedroom doorway. (found those with my bare feet). Owner needs to do a better job of providing access information and perform some house maintenance.

Nice cozy home

The host was chill and very accommodating, the house was quiet and cozy, and we loved Canyon’s company throughout our stay. There are a good bit of food places a few minutes from the home as well.

It was the perfect place.

This place was clean and very comfortable. It’s located in a very safe and clean neighborhood. The host was extremely accommodating. And I will be staying here again if I come back to Monroe.

I want to start by saying the location and price of Sylvan Lake quiet place was excellent. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Also, our host was great about responding and answering questions when we had them. The cons for the trip were lack of organization in the house and cleaning supplies. We really struggled to find things in the kitchen to cook and eat with. Near the end of our stay we ran out of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. We searched but there was none throughout the house. Overall, these inconveniences were not awful since we were in town for a buddy’s wedding, and we weren’t at the house much. However, it would have been a problem if we had stayed in more or had a longer visit. I am thankful for the value stay, but I would not return to this location.

Very quiet neighborhood. The host was quick to respond and great communication. I LOVED the dog, she was very friendly and loved getting treats.

My 2 friends and I stayed the weekend and had a lovely stay! Kanyon the husky is the sweetest dog ever, didn’t bother us at all and we enjoyed the company. The place was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable! If I ever visit west Monroe again, I would certainly stay here again! Amber was a great host & very communicative.

The dog was not mentioned until after booking was completed. My child is scared of big dogs, no matter how “nice” it is. The house smelled of wet dog/dog pee. The plug-ins were too overly scented. (They were just not a neutral scent.) The fully stocked pantry was full of expired food. My child pulled out what she thought was a popsicle all to find out it was spiked with alcohol. We did like the treadmill.

Disaster

The information provided by tne host for the property was inaccurate. VRBO host stated pet friendly. We did not know until after we paid the full amount that her husky was in residence. Wife is allergic to dogs that shed. Pet friendly means we can bring a pet with us. Not expect to have one during our 10- day stay. Plastic bed frame broke

It was ok, but not great

Check in/out was seamless. The neighborhood seemed nice and safe. Kanyon(the dog) was friendly and well mannered. However, the air fresheners plugged into outlets in every room in the house to mask the dog smell were overwhelming. We had to unplug the one in our room, it was just too much. The house was little more run down than the pictures made it look, but our room and bathroom were clean. I was mostly disappointed by the fact that a hot tub was listed in the amenities and there wasn’t one.

The house was comfortable. Some of the amenities listed, however, were not accurate. There isn’t a gym nor a garden to my knowledge. Also, there is a dog on the premises. Her name is Kanyon and she is very sweet! But she isn’t mentioned until after you pay. I’m afraid of large dogs and wouldn’t have paid if I’d known there was one in the house. However, Kanyon is very sweet and loving doggie! My real issue was with the bathroom. There was no bathtub mat and the tub was very slippery. I had to supply my own mat. Also, the toilet was not very clean. The neighborhood was very quiet as advertised.

Week stay

The owners were away during my stay. I had everything I needed. She was not too far from town. I made use of the washer/dryer, fridge, and microwave. Her dog was a great companion and very well behaved!

Beyond wonderful stay!!! Great host and wonderful room

Just a fabulous home and host. Had such a fabulous time. This was the first I just rented a room with access to yard and kitchen. It was a wonderful experience and the host went well above and beyond to make my stay super perfect. I definitely see myself returning. This is a perfect location. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood yet 5 min from everything you would ever want. Amber was a 5 star host.
