"Lovely hotel in an ideal spot for walks along the Dorset coast"

"We really liked everything about the Ollerod. Two thirds of our breakfasts were provided by Julie, who was so nice. We enjoyed chatting with her about the local area. The food was good and set us up for our busy days. We met Kim in housekeeping one day when we stopped by midafternoon. Our room was always spotless and looked as if we had only just arrived. The staff at the front desk were helpful and accommodating. One gentleman even arranged to have housekeeping launder a few shirts for...

"Great staff, lovely environment and super place to stay."

"The room was clean, shower over the bath, but could be a problem to older guests encluding my wife. Placed my towel on the edge of the bath but it was not replaced, but we were told it had to be in the bath. At breakfast we were served with an overcooked fried egg on our first morning, the next morning we had a very greasy and hard fried egg with black bits on and the mushrooms were cold."

"Lovely clean large room. Great tv with a superb picture. Plenty of tea / coffee and biscuits welcome tray. We were surprised how quiet our sleep was, the pub below was busy but no sound from it. We felt that a few improvements could really help elevate the experience. While the hotel is generally well maintained, some areas feel a little tired, neglected and lacking in purpose. The leisure area, particularly the space next to the now-closed swimming pool, is one example. We stayed in a family room, which...

"Second time here, another lovely room with plenty of space and well lit too. Parking was easy. Will definitely stay again."
