Nice Cabin

Labor Day Wkend Getaway

What a spectacular find. This property is perfectly remote and within proximity of Boone and West Jefferson. It’s beautifully decorated and provided us with a quiet and relaxing place to spend our time together. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful Convenient Get Away

This was an awesome cabin with beautiful views. We had plenty of room and our husky loved to explore around the property. It wasn’t too far of a drive which is a huge plus. We will definitely come back again.

Beautiful cabin

Beautiful cabin a mile up on top of a mountain. You are the last house on the road, very private. Fabulous views. Everything you need. It snowed twice, they even had sleds to use.

Probably the best VRBO we've had

The cabin was very well set up, decorated beautifully, and stocked with nice cookware. The charcoal grill was awesome. Hot tub was very big and nice to hang out in after touring nearby West Jefferson. The cabin was very clean, only goofy thing was confetti kept showing up...probably from some party. The access road was a bit rough, but we didnt have a problem with our SUV.

Oh, the stars!

Loved this mountain house. Kitchen was well stocked, hot tub was clean and in great working condition, deck overlooking the mountainside provided the stunning views that we had hoped for. The big surprise.....the amazing star gazing. With zero light pollution, we had multiple nights where we sat on the drive way and soaked in Mother Nature's evening show with shooting stars and clear views of the greats (dippers etc). Can't forget to mention that the beds are incredibly comfortable and the location was great to access cycling routes all over the county. Will be back!

Great Mountain Retreat with the Family!

From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and at a home away from home. Instructions for the home were clearly labeled and laid out. Everything was just as advertised, and the location was perfect. The cabin is isolated on the mountainside and has all the amenities needed. It's a short 5 min drive down the mountain and about 15-20 min outside of downtown Boone. Ideal location! The property manager was excellent as well! We had one quick question and he was super responsive and helpful! We will be back

Way in the Woods

The house was clean and well-stocked. Fireplace didn't work but was fixed by management. Overall the furnishings are worn out but it is dog and kid friendly. The drive to the house is very long and dirt/gravel. We had a small (class b) RV like Amazon van and had challenge getting to house due to road and wet leaves. NO way we could get up the driveway, and we had significant challenges even turning the rv around at the bottom of the very steep and narrow driveway. Had to rent a minivan for our travels as a result. I think pictures of the road/driveway should be included in the listing to warn of the driveway and challenge for large vehicles to turn around.

Nice summer getaway

Cabin was spotless and had all the amenities described. Others have commented on the road to the cabin and it’s definitely very windy and a narrow gravel road. Very little room to move over when a car is coming the other direction. There are a few places where’s it an incline so I could see the need for 4x4 in the winter months. This gravel road is about a mile. We stayed in June so there was no issue. At night it’s super dark. There’s no real view from the property because you’re in the woods. The only downside was that the bedroom with the queen on the main floor is directly below the primary bedroom upstairs and any movement upstairs can be heard in that room. We had a baby in there so that noise did make an impact. The room downstairs or what I would call basement has some very old vhs videos but the player can play either vhs or dvd. The bedroom down there was quite separate from the rest of the rooms. We didn’t want to put the baby down there alone, so she slept in her parent’s room on the main floor.

Kitchen was well equipped. House was secluded. Outdoor fireplace was great. Owner/management company was very responsive and reached out several times to make sure everything was as it should be. Definitely would stay again.

Loved Our Stay

The property was comfortable and perfect. We enjoyed the location and felt at home immediately. It was clean, which is a HUGE plus for me. I didn’t feel like it was rented so much that it had been in constant use. The main deck was great to sit outside. Thanks so much to the host!

Birthday Celebration

This was a great property to celebrate our friends 65 birthday. Enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fireplace’s as well as the hot tub. Our afternoon in West Jefferson was every enjoyable as well as lunch at the brewery.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Indian Cove! The house was clean, well equipped with everything we needed, and the property manager was wonderful to work with! The location was great for visiting both Boone and Blowing Rock. Additionally, our group especially enjoyed the gas fireplace and the hot tub!
