Christmas Vacation

Property was spacious and very comfortable as advertised. Was a little disappointed in couple of issues, fire pit on porch, LP gas was empty, several days we could have enjoyed sitting on the porch, flood lights did not work, ironically the day we were leaving a tech showed up to fix them, obviously he knew before our stay…..no trash cans, went to dump several times using pass…

A beautiful home in a stunning location!

We loved every minute at Retriever Beach near West Jefferson. The home is spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished. Each room was perfect! Looking forward to our next visit!

This place never disappoints

Second time staying and already booked for next trip. The house has everything you need. It rained the first 2 days but that was just fine and allowed us to talk and laugh,listen to it storm under the awesome covered porch. Property fks are a pleasure to work with and very accommodating.

Love it!!

We absolutely loved the house!!! Had everything we needed and space for the kids to run! Our friends rented near by but our house was the house we had Christmas dinner at. Between both family there’s 6 kids and two dogs. They had so much fun skipping rocks in the river. The house was super clean. Every night we had a family of deer come by. If it wasn’t a 13 hour drive from home we would definitely come again.

Amazing stay

We had a wonderful time, the property was amazing and easy to find. Close to down town. The only "problem" I had was working the outdoor gas fire pit and the fireplace inside, but that could have been user error. Even the pup had a great time. Would absolutely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

The cabin was very clean and well equipped. The kitchen had all the comforts of home. Enjoyed the back porch with the river view. We enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard for toasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Will definitely come back. Thank you.

Could not have asked for a more perfect house. Reviews did not do this place justice. Everything was set up perfectly. We are still talking about this place and our stay. Perfect location!

We had a wonderful stay with our two Labrador retrievers. There were lots of walking trails around the property. The dogs had plenty of space to run around in the yard, and easy access to the river for swimming…… they would give this vacation high ratings for sure! The area was absolutely beautiful, as well as the home itself. We spent a lot of time on the large deck overlooking the river. There is a gate to keep the dogs on the deck when needed. We really enjoyed our time here!

IN. LOVE. WITH. THIS. HOUSE.

It was hard to leave after an amazing week at Retriever Beach! The house was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and the perfect size and layout for our group. The private “beach” is the best for sitting with chairs out in the rubber watching the world go by. We’ll definitely be back!!!

Everything I hoped it would be and more!

I've seen other reviews on this property that said the photos are great but the reality is even better...and that's so true! The main living area of the house is so spacious with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy time together or some private time. Our group was 5 adults and 1 child. We were there for 3 nights, the first week of April. The weather was perfect. We even put our feet in the water and my son and grandson fished. My grandson caught the only fish! This was our first getaway in almost 2 years due to the pandemic and it was perfect! You will not regret booking this house. We will definitely be back again.

Wonderful Place and Location

I can see why it was so highly rated. It's in a great location, clean, as well as private. Its the kind of place we could return to again and stay even longer as very comfortable. Nice for larger groups as plenty of room to spread out and the back porch with river view is just wonderful. I highly recommend.

Amazing GetAway

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The river access, firepits, huge porch, 2 fireplaces, Large kitchen and Den, nice bathrooms were some of our favorite amenities of this property. We will be back!
