Whoa, the pictures don’t do justice to the wrap around views and could never convey the serenity of the property. Our host was wonderful and contacted us about 10 days before to suggest taxi services and even organize that for us and a car rental. I’m not sure if this is their standard for VRBO but it was outstanding. She also was able to help us with a grocery order. Really everything was white glove service.

Perfect birthday celebration

The property is beautiful! The view didn’t once get old. I loved the pool overlooking the water. It was the perfect place to really experience BVI. My only suggestion would be to rent a vehicle. Taxis got pretty expensive and there is nothing within feasible walking distance.

Beautiful property and fabulous view

My husband and I are return guests. The home is spacious, beautifully furnished and fully equipped for cooking. We went boating out of Sopers Hole, which was just a few minutes away. Dinner at the Sugar Mill Hotel was fabulous and also not far from the house. Lovely visit once again!

Taino Villa... a 10 Family Experience!

Driving up the narrow, twisting road with Eric in the taxi Sharlene arranged for us, we hoped the villa photos were realistic. No worries there, Taino (and Tortola) exceeded our already high expectations. It was a perfect size for our group, with lots of room for everyone (4 adults and two grandchildren under ten). We especially liked the large curving open-air seating area where wet bathing suits were not a problem and everywhere you looked were beautiful vistas. Air conditioners and fans in the bedroom were a plus. We felt prepared because Sam and Sharlene responded to our many questions before our visit. They also provided excellent pre-arrival information, including a site to have our grocery order delivered when we arrived. In addition, we were able to take advantage of unopened, non-perishable items other guests had left. Every staff member we met, including the cleaning team that came mid-week, made us feel welcome. Unexpectedly we had a small plumbing issue which was taken care of within a couple hours, the best response time we have experienced in renting through VRBO. We were glad that Jerry delivered our rental car the next day so we could get acclimated. Be prepared to drive on the left side. We also would recommend reading the Welcome Notebook upon arrival… lots of helpful information and recommendations of what to do. We loved staying at Taino, a perfect time to miss the minus 2-degree weather at home.

Great Tortola Vacation

Beautiful stay in Tortola at amazing villa. The view is truly amazing. The kitchen is well stocked and very usable. Nice inside-outside living space. All 3 rooms are excellent, with 2 of the 3 a small step above the third room. A car is strongly advised, but the road is definitely not for beginners and is more challenging when wet. Four wheel drive would be helpful, but we had an awd Kia Sorento that did the job. The more you drive it, the easier it gets. The location is great if you like access to Smuggler's cove and Long Bay. Frenchman's Cay is also not too far away via car. Highly recommended villa. The pool is not heated, but was usable on the warm days. We'd definitely go back!

Breathtaking Views

An absolutely amazing time at this villa!! The views from the photos did not lie one bit. Each morning waking up to a crystal clear view of Jost was great. We also we able to enjoy a few spectacular sunsets as well. The property managers were very easy to communicate with and provided any infromation that was requested. Most of the common areas are open air rooms, so you will need bug spray. This was not an issue for us, but felt it was worth noting. Everything in the house was kept very clean and in good working order. The bedrooms were nicely sized and had very good working AC units in each. THE POOL... Amazing!!! Well kept and the lighting in the evening made it really pop. All-in-all an excellent villa to relax at for a week...

Amazing Villa

The property was absolutely amazing with stunning views. The management team are extremely attentive. One day Pinkie brought us pastries from the French Deli because we had issues with our freezer which was immediately repaired. We loved Smugglers Cove which is very near the Villa. Lots of fine restaurants just a short drive away. Pictures do not do this Villa justice. Be prepared to be “wowed”!

Our stay at Taino was everything we hoped it would be, and more. The views are breathtaking, and the property is well kept, clean, and inviting. The management team is on top of things. Sam and the team were responsive and helpful!

We had a wonderful time at Taino. The property is so comfortable, beautifully furnished, and nothing short of a visual feast. We ended up canceling one of our day trips from Tortola so we could spend more time at the house! Bring bug spray, as the bug bites were our only hassle the entire trip. 5 stars. Would love to return again and again.

Gorgeous Views

This place can't be beat when it comes to the views - they are as gorgeous as anything we've seen! We would drink our morning coffee watching the sailboats start their morning excursions! The location is right where restaurants and beaches can easily be reached. We were in the beautiful pool everyday - it was clean and refreshing - and, once again, the view from it was amazing! We highly recommend Taino!

Private home with a great view

The home is situated at the top of a very steep hill and provides great views of Smugglers Cove and Long Bay Beach. The pool is spectacular. Some of the furniture is a bit dated and could use reupholstering. Other than the bedrooms there is no air conditioning. Ceiling fans on the outside veranda would be a nice addition and might help keep the pesky mosquitoes away. The management company gets an A+.

Great property with beautiful view

This property is located up the side of a steep mountain which gives you great view of the island and a couple bays. Smugglers Cove/Lower Belmont Bay is a very short drive and was our favorite beach on the island (calm water and sandy). The property itself is nice, the bedrooms have good A/C. Wifi works great. Good outdoor furniture for lounging. There is also a super nice view from the pool and its a great place to watch the sunset. Having a washer/dryer on premise is very nice as well. Towels were available. All the cooking amenities were there including an outdoor grill/stove/coffee maker/blender/microwave/dishwasher/etc. We did a lot of cooking and they had the very basics like salt/pepper but do pack in any seasonings/oil you may need. You will want a car with good clearance and 4WD is probably a good idea. Overall a great property and I would recommend it!

Beautiful Views

We spent a week here in July and pictures do not do this place justice. The views are amazing and the infinity pool is large and a nice respite from the heat. We normally don’t use the pools at our rentals very much but we used this pool every day after coming in from exploring the beaches. Definitely our favorite rental over the years!! The home is immaculate and had everything we needed. The beds are comfortable, linens are great and the air condition in the bedrooms worked great! Don’t hesitate just book this property. You will not regret it!

Views and privacy

We loved our week-long stay at Villa Taino. The views are just amazing. We spent many hours enjoying the pool deck and outdoor living spaces, but the sunsets really steal the show. The three bedroom and bathrooms made it easy for my husband and I to have space away from our two teen boys, but we all gathered in the main living spaces as well. Smuggler's Cove was our favorite beach, and we had great meals at the Sugar Mill and D'Coalpot nearby. Beds were super comfy, and the kitchen was well stocked.

Relax with a view

Only God Has A Better View!

The house sits at an elevation of 525 feet above Long Bay Beach and only God has a better view, which can only be described as panoramic. As the sun rises in the morning the blue waters of Long Bay and Smuggler’s Cove below become more dazzling by the minute. Jost sits several miles off to the northwest but you feel like you could reach out and touch it. We spent many relaxed hours on the pool deck just watching the day unfold as the sailboats passed on the water below and then near sunset we would slip into the pool to watch the sky light up as the sun fell into the sea. After dark, we marveled at the stars above and the twinkling lights of far-off St. Thomas. The grounds of the villa are almost as equally as impressive as the view. There was a lushness of flowering plants, some of which I had never seen before. A bird with the sweetest song came and serenaded us each day as he sat in the tree just off of the eastward facing patio. We thought of him as a friend and gave him a name. Sometimes we would sit on the deck and marvel that the only sounds we could hear were our friend the bird, the wind rustling through the palms, and the distant sound of crashing waves on the beach below. So much of the time here was no man-made sound…This must be what it sounded like in these islands 500 years ago. Finally, the staff that we worked with, both before and during our stay, were fantastic. I can highly recommend this house.
