Last minute booking turned out superb!

We had the best time staying at the Whale’s Tail cottage in West Dennis. We booked very last minute, but could not be happier with our experience and stay. The house had everything we could possibly think of: from paper towels and Ziploc bags, to zip ties and rubber bands. The cleanliness of the home was like nothing else I’ve ever experience in a rental, and the amount of activities we could experience around the house and its surroundings was perfect. We are so happy we stayed and can’t wait to come back again!!

Wonderful home away from home

Everything as described. Super easy check in / communications. Home was clean, well appointed and in a great location. Backyard was a great spot to spend the evenings! Would book again for sure!

Great experience!

Clean, bright and comfortable. Perfect location on the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac and close to anything you might want or need. The whole family enjoyed their stay!

Lovely Cottage

We had a great time the week we stayed here. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Our boys loved the upstairs bedroom/tv room to themselves. Nice location, we walked every morning with our dog. Very close to West Dennis Beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Property and location

The property was perfect for my family. My two boys (Age 6 & 7) loved the upstairs room. The stairs to go into their room were a bit step, but no issues. Outside was great to hang out for my wife and I after the kids went to bed. We loved the outdoor lighting. Outdoor shower was also huge when we came back from the beach which was a 3 minute drive. Awesome experience overall!

2nd stay at this house

We love this house, and have rented it for the past two summers. It is a great size and layout, very nicely decorated, has everything you need and is very convenient to West Dennis, Dennisport and Yarmouth. The upstairs room is great for our kids, and we love the outdoor sitting area and outdoor shower. It was really hot the week we were down, and we were SO HAPPY to have airconditioning. The only thing missing was a reading light in the master bedroom, and I bought one and left it there for future renters ;-)

Nice place

We really liked this house. It’s in a great location and on a very quiet dead end street with nice neighbors. It was only two of us with our dog so we didn’t use the upstairs area but I could see that being an issue for others as the stairs to get up there are very steep and almost more like a ladder. We had a little bit of an issue with a broken door when we first arrived and then a window that would not close but the property manager was quick to get someone over to fix the door and look at the window. All & all we loved the property but some updates on the house would have definitely made the experience better.

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable.

This house was perfect for our family of five. Very comfortable inside and out. The street is quiet and the neighbors very friendly. We walked and biked to the W. Dennis beach and due to its location we were short drives from many other beaches, great restaurants, and of course ice cream.

Holiday get together

House was very charming and comfortable. Beds great. We enjoyed the back room with larger table and played games. Thanks for space heater (we found in closet). Kitchen good - small but had what we needed to a New Years Eve dinner - also outdoor grill was put to use and my husband said it was in good shape.

Excellent Cape Vacation

We spent over a week at this house and enjoyed it thoroughly. It is in excellent condition: appliances, furnishings, yard all were clean, high quality and seemed lightly used. The beds varied in size, which was helpful, and were very comfortable. The house was, unlike many vacation rentals, very home-like, tastefully furnished and equipped, and seemed designed by people who cared about the property and lived there themselves. Since we were there after Labor Day, the town, neighborhood and beaches were less congested than during the summer season. We enjoyed the quiet and easy access to everything. An excellent ocean/Sound beach is a 5 minute drive away, with lots of parking. Free after Labor Day, too. Within walking distance (3 minutes) are a liquor/convenience store, an excellent pizza and sub shop, delicious ice cream, and a really good breakfast restaurant. We have no criticisms of the house and location. A second bathroom would be a great addition, however. Another comment is that the house provided much more than the listing noted: dish towels, an assortment of bags and wraps, great beach chairs.

Amazing!

Everything about this place was perfect! The only issue we had was with the staircase - it’s very steep and more like a ladder, which made it difficult for some of our family to get up and down it so sleeping arrangements had to be reconfigured. Other than that, our stay was amazing and we cannot wait to come back again!

Fantastic Vacation

We had a great vacation, and this house was perfect! Fun location, playground up the street; Paradise Pizza, Good Friends Cafe and ice cream in walking distance. The decor is lovely, and the backyard adds lots of extra room on nice days. Our two kids LOVED having their own space upstairs. Lots of space, tv and ac made it perfect. Beds were really comfortable, and inside bathroom and outside shower were great. Washer and Dryer are well used, but worked great - so important for beachtowels, etc. The house comes with most everything you need. We were glad we brought some nightlights (based on prior experience),.

EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS - FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!

This place completely exceeded my expectations. The house is absolutely impeccable; very clean, super cute décor, comfy furniture, serene back patio with plenty of seating and a gas grill (two propane tanks provided), and it’s close to the beach! But the best part is that the owners have gone above and beyond in preparing their lovely house for renters by providing a cute welcome gift, a comprehensive house/welcome guide, several (6-8) new beach chairs, decent size cooler, portable speaker, Keurig, new adult games as well as a new bat & ball, and crayons and paper for the kids. Many of the items were brand new with tags which is a testament to the owners going out of their way to ensure their guests feel welcome, are comfortable, and have everything they need to have the best possible time! Adam Marks was our property manager and communication with him was super easy, he was very quick to respond and was extremely professional but at the same time he made me feel super comfortable like I was talking to someone I had known for years and so if something did go wrong or if we needed anything, I wouldn’t have hesitated for a second to contact him. I almost forgot to mention the parking – there is a lot of it! We had two large trucks and a Tahoe and probably could have fit two more small cars in the driveways (yes there are two). Which if everyone is coming from different directions, can be extremely important in a rental. I highly recommend this place….FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!

Perfect Location for a get away

Firstly, I was scammed previously and in a crunch was able to lock in this property last minute with 3 small dogs. There was plenty of room for parking since all my friends were coming at different times for their kid free vacation. On top of the recommendations the host provided here are a few more: 1. Buckies for breakfast and coffee 2. The Naked Oyster for dinner in Hyannis 3. For an upscale vibe Wequassett Golf Resort. We had drinks by the fire pit and dinner At Thoreau’s. It was nice to come back and have some fresh strawberries from the plants in the driveway and relax in the back with the cute lighting on the couch. The broker we spoke with was Adam Marks and he checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. West Dennis beach was perfect to pack up the car with beach chairs (provided by host) and wonderful to come back and wash off with the outdoor shower. Would definitely come back again ; thank you for opening up your home for us to vacation together after such a tough year. We appreciate you.

Beautiful home in great location!

This property exceeded our expectations. From booking to check-in it was all super easy. Adam called us shortly after arrival to make sure all was okay and to let us know that we can reach him at any time during our stay. The place was immaculate and with new furnishings. Very specious and perfect for our family of 4. Our kids used the upper level (attic), it was like their own private hang out area with t.v., couch and beds. The steps leading to the attic are a bit steep and narrow so something to consider for younger children. The block is super quiet which was great for sleeping and the bedrooms on lower level have curtains to clock out light which was much appreciated. There’s also 3 smart t.v.’s and kitchen is fully furnished and clean. Centrally located to Hyannis. We cant say enough nice things about the home and would definitely book here again.
