Nice getaway

This home was just perfect for us. We enjoyed the inside and outside. Quick walk to the lake, sand for the kids. Peaceful and serene. Just great.

Less than stellar

I’ve waited awhile to leave this review and while the communication with the property manager was adequate and responsive -a few things occurred during this trip that left me with a less than positive experience especially for the price of this home. When we arrived, it was clear this home was beautifully constructed and has quality furniture but it was not properly cleaned. The house was also not supplied with common house supplies such as toilet paper, soap, garbage bags, dishwasher pods. The property manager was prompt and reimbursed us for the inconvenience but we still had to make a trip into town. We cleaned as best we could on our way out (there was no broom and majority hardwood floors) and followed all check out processes instructed. Following the stay, we were asked if we had brought a dog into the home, which we had not, but felt uncomfortable as it felt like accusation for something that was not allowed and that we had not done. I understand the property manager is likely trying to get to the bottom of what is likely the need for a change in cleaning vendors but the whole weekend just had an air of frustration as we found another thing that was missing or having to ration grocery bags to use as garbage bags because we didn’t realize those were missing til after our trip into town.

2nd family vacation

Our 1st family vacation was here last year. We loved it so much, we came back. Hopefully next year will be the 3rd annual. It’s a beautiful property with all the amenities.

Great family vacation home!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home! It suited our needs perfectly. There's plenty of seating on the outdoor deck. The views are very serene, and all rooms are clean and spacious. We will definitely try to book again in the future!

Family Celebration

The house is beautiful. We had a wonderful time. There was a couple of issues that the owner was quick to respond and correct. We all enjoyed the fire pit at night, laughing, talking making s’mores and hot dogs over the fire. It would be helpful if there was a railing on the front porch steps.

Family Vacation June 2023

We stayed a couple of days for a little family reunion in July 2023. We were 12 in total, including 2 teenagers and 2 little kids (2 and 4 years old) and were traveling from California and Ohio. The house was just gorgeous and perfect for our group. It’s even more beautiful than in the pictures and the owner Kevin was extremely responsive to any extra questions we had. We brought our own kayaks and enjoyed the lake, sandy beach, beautiful views, amazing kitchen/living room area, and poker table for evening card games. Even though we had to stay a day inside due to wildfires in Canada, nobody got bored, not even the toddler or teenage boys. Note, this was a family vacation and we probably would have killed each other in any other house :-D. We just fell in love with the house and its phenomenal location and will definitely try to come back!

Great family vacation

We had a wonderful vacation week enjoying the beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the lake . The house was beautiful and spacious for our family to share wonderful memories away from tourist spots and the fast pace of our lives

The Perfect Spot for Making Memories

We were looking for a place that would accommodate our friend group while we visited for a long weekend. This was the perfect location and provided us with everything we needed to have a great time. Quiet and private, it had a gorgeous view and plenty of room. Just a heads up, we did have to pick up things like hand soap for the house, but the grocery store was nearby and open late. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this listing to anyone who comes here for a visit.

Great house and location!

The home is nicely remodeled. The kitchen is large, great for big families. Several comfortable sleeping areas as well. We enjoyed the lake, fishing and kayaking. We also enjoyed the loons every evening:) The deck is a great place to hang out. Overall, we enjoyed out week and would return.

Great location and accommodations – We highly recommend

Our family had an amazing time! We rented for a large family vacation and the accommodations were what was expected and even more. There was plenty of room for all of us! The second fridge in the basement was a bonus! We had a wonderful time outside with the large area to enjoy the view of the lake, swimming and even caught some larger fish right off the dock. Bonfires were great and the view of the sunsets were beautiful. Would definitely rent here again!!
