"Had a wonderful fall weekend here! The place was so cozy inside! We loved sitting in the hot tub with the outside temperature so cold or just around the fire talking! The host was amazing This was probably my first rental with such an array of complimentary items! The bathroom was stocked with anything you could have forgotten and more(thankfully because I did forget something!) The coffee/k-cup/tea setup was great and loved the honey sticks! "

"Staying at the cottage was extremely pleasing. The cottage was just perfect, like Goldilocks, not too big, not too small, but just right. The proximity and access to Higgins Lake was again just right. On the morning of our departure, we were already discussing our return visit. All in all, Jillian and the cottage were perfect! Five golden stars ! "

"Great stay! We loved the house on Houghton Lake. Such a beautiful view. Hot tub, swings, and paddle boards were all used. The kids had a great time in the lake. It was very peaceful. We would return and stay here again!"

"House worked out perfect for 14 adults coming in for a wedding. Perfect location to get to the Barn at Higgins where the wedding was held.Clean, sandy bottom, shallow lake perfect for wadingFirepit location was a bit wonky. On a hill and too close to the lake to sit anyone on that side. Did not stop us from cramming in around it though.We lost power 2 nights on our 7 day stay. 11:30pm-5:30 am and then 9:30pm-1am. "The location was perfect for trail riding. The cabin was very spacious and clean. Close to Roscommon if there is a need for anything. The host was fast to answer any questions I had and very helpful. Would recommend this place."

"Great place to stay at Higgins Lake!! The house is clean & updated and feels like home - all the amenities you need, and then some, plus an amazing view!Everything was clean and comfortable. The whole family enjoyed it!One note for guests - bring water shoes for going in the lake out past the owner's boat. Couldn't be happier with our stay - it was awesome and the owners were responsive and gave all the necessary information. Seamless check-in, stay, and check-out.We loved it!"

"Just got home from our stay at naughty in the woods wow an amazing spot if you’re into using side-by-side or riding the trails at Houghton Lake. Great location, conveniently located by plenty of bars and restaurants auto parts stores and a Walmart. Only 1.2 miles from the Denton Creek trailhead which is a blast. It offers great trails in great scenery. When we got done, we lit a fire outback, and sat and laughed about all the time we had on the trails. We will definitely be back a great spot!"
