This is the one...

Book this – you will not regret it. Hands down the best host we’ve ever had. We truly felt like it mattered to Kevin that we enjoyed every part of our stay – and we did. Everything in the chalet is thoughtfully laid out, with all of the things you need, and no clutter that is not needed. Very clean and just a cozy place to be. I like to cook and this is the only VRBO we’ve ever stayed at that I actually ENJOYED using the kitchen. We appreciated how well lit the inside and outside are for walking around at night. The deck lives up to expectations, and some part of it is always shady. The property around the Chalet is amazing. Approx a .4 mile loop that was perfectly maintained (I walked it in my flip flops a few times). Our pup was in heaven. Also I’m not sure if this is normal for the area, but there were no mosquitos. This may just be the perfect vacation rental. It really shows that it is taken care of with love. We all would have definitely been happy to stay longer, and hope to be back again. Thank you so much for sharing this place with us!

Another wonderful stay

This was our second stay at the chalet and it will not be our last. Accommodations were super. Chalet is spotless and roomy. Owners are responsive ti all inquiries. A perfect spot for much needed family time.

My family was so fortunate to find this wonderful home away from home. We lacked for nothing. The three floors allowed us privacy when needed and the middle floor accommodated our large family comfortably and cozily. The kitchen had all the supplies for all of us to be comfortably seated AND the kitchen table was big enough to seat 9 of us with room to spare. The location was peaceful. There are many activities to participate in in the area. We especially liked Merck forest but would have been just as content staying in the whole time. We are hoping to return again for round 2. Rye Chalet

Very nice and clean property with a beautiful view from the deck! The fire pit was lovely in the evening and the host supplied ingredients for making s’mores! The sky was completely clear and we enjoyed star gazing while we enjoyed the fire! The host provided quick responses to questions I asked and provided amazingly detailed information about the property, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend the Rye Chalet to others and hope to stay again soon!!!

The perfect spot!

We stayed here with a group of friends for a mountain biking trip. We have stayed up at Kingdom Trails for the past 9 yrs and were looking to change it up. This spot was perfect! Close to all three trail heads, plenty of space for everyone indoors and out, great parking situation, not too far from town but felt very secluded. We had some questions about where things were stored while we were there and the hosts were incredibly responsive. Truly 5 star experience!

Great retreat!

The Rye Chalet was a great experience for our group. The house is extremely well provisioned and is clean and comfortable. Great views, surrounded by woods and blessed quiet. Easy access to neighboring towns and areas with lots to do, especially if you like hiking and outdoors. Excellent communications and support from the host. Would stay here again.

Unhappy

We received no less than 20 text messages and emails regarding the number of people staying at the property. The listing indicates the property sleeps 12, we had 8 for 3 nights and 3 for one night. This was our third time renting this property and this has never been an issue in the past. But we were told we had more than the "registered" amount of people. We were here for a golf tournament and to have fun. The constant badgering by the owner's representative seriously detracted from our enjoyment. Plus we were charged additional fees because of the number of people over four. We made this reservation in February for an August stay. We have no idea how many people will be coming. The price per night and the advertising is misleading at best. We will not be back.

Just what we needed

It’s a beautiful house on a beautiful piece of land. We had a wonderful stay. I have never rented from a more attentive and caring home owner. If you’re looking for a quite space to enjoy family time this is the place for you.

Amazing stay

My family and I decided to book this wonderful place for my husbands 40th family. As soon as we pulled up it took my breath away. The scenery alone was spectacular. There was so much greenery everywhere we looked. Everything was stocked well and the host was excellent with questions when we asked. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the future.

A great place

We spent two weeks here with our family and the house was perfect for our group. Big enough to spread out with great spaces to gather together. The house was very well stocked with high quality linens and towels, plenty of kitchen pots and pans, lots of dishes, mugs, and glasses, and some extra touches like supplies for s’mores, wood for the fire pit, and charging stations for our electronics throughout the house. Land is lovely and location great. You can walk into Wells and you are about 30 mins from great shops and restaurants in Dorset and Manchester. Highly recommend this house.

Incredible views from Rye Chalet

Rye Chalet is an incredible property with sweeping views of the valley below. The chalet is a great combination of 60’s A frame architecture and vibe with modern technology and comforts. Highly recommend staying here for a unique and special way to experience Vermont.

Beautiful chalet!

We stayed at the chalet for a wedding. We had plenty of room for all of our guests to sleep comfortably and enjoy spending time together. Easy directions to find it tucked away. The chalet was clean, spacious, and has a beautiful deck with an amazing view. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen had what we needed to have meals at home. Rita and Kevin kept us up to date with everything. All in all a great getaway. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Vermont Gem

This property has a WOW factor. The view is spectacular and it is very peaceful. If you are looking for a place to retreat and rejuvenate, this is the place for you! We have a multigenerational family and my four kids loved the house. It is very thoughtfully designed and decorated. The induction cooktop was VERY cool. This property has awesome WI-FI so you could remain linked to technology as much as you would like (or not). The area is very quiet and peaceful. The country store in Wells is great. There are a lot of delightful small towns and shops in the area. Also, if you go in the summer, the local produce is incredible. I highly recommend staying here-a great place to interact with nature. Wells Hollow Manor

Off the beaten path this tucked away home welcomes you in to the charms of the Vermont's Southern Taconic mountains. Clean house, with an incredible view that makes you want to come back again.
