Room was ok, very small window. Very confusing on arrival: you enter from the street into a small lobby, with signs that tell you Reception is on LG, and a self-check in terminal but no instructions saying if everyone has to use it or if it is only for out of hours. Elevator only goes up. No stairs. How do you get to Lower Ground? I went back outside and pushed the call button for the manager twice but both times instead of getting a human, the door was just unlocked again. In desperation, I went into the bar that adjoins the small lobby and only then did I spot the small sign under their cash register that says ' Reception' (no reference to Microtel or Wyndham). So the woman standing there had been able to see me going in and out with my suitcase but hadn't called out or anything. Definitely needs a big sign telling you how to check in because street level is not LG.

We had multiple rooms nearby that were very loud, i wondered if they live there. After 11pm, doors slamming, talking very loud in the corridors and knocking on each others doors then again before 6am. Not great.

We did not like anything about the hotel room was cold and no heater and one chair for 2 people and room was needed a good dusting the second night there were no tea bags spoke to the manager on juty and he was not very helpful the cost for the Hotel was A jock. We have traveled around the world and it is worst hotel we have been in from Jean Blacklaw

Disappointed, the room although clean and comfortable was internal in the building so no window. The bathroom is separate from the room by frosted glass only, so all aspects of use are visible to the occupants of the room. The breakfast was very poor, low quality food stuffs. The whole hotel is painted black inside giving a very dark outlook

This Hotel appears to have been built out of a converted multi story car park. It's clean, very compact - no windows in the rooms but we knew that on booking. The car parking once again met low standards with very limited and overpriced customer gouging. Gets a 1 star on my Parking score. The soap dispenser fell off the wall when I went to use the shower. Otherwise This place was Ok it has a bar and small restaurant to purchase breakfast from.

I think this hotel it's worth the price, very close to restaurants, bars and attractions in general. I had an issue with my room and they immediately changed it, which was amazing customer service, the manager and the girls from reception are amazing. I would stay again here definitely!

You needed your key card to enter the front door, so arrival was odd. Drop off was also weird until you got your assigned parking spot. Rooms did not have TV, you had to stream from your device and apps did not work internationally.

Room 105 a/c cooling did not work, so my room was overly warm at night preventing good sleep. Most rooms do not have windows, if they do then it is a small skylight.

Visiting this hotel, the look is very industrial , we had 2 rooms cause the first room the AC was not functional at all, it was at least 26C in the room but closer to 30C while the second room after complaining to the front desk , they put us in a room were the ventilation was somewhat functional but it did not cool down the room , they only cooled down the room to maybe 23C , also the bed is very high , my wife who is 160cm had a lot of difficulty to get into bed. Also, they took a 100$ deposit but it wasn’t stated anywhere that they took that and it takes a very long time to get it back, and the parking is very difficult to park in it , very narrow and not easily to move in and out of it , I would not recommend this hotel

Room was clean and surprisingly spacious for a microtel. Bed was very firm. No shampoo & conditioner, spare towels or blankets. TV is at the end of the bed so on/off light is in your eyes when sleeping. We would definitely stay again.

A Disappointing Stay at the Microtel by Wyndham We
Wellington is a vibrant city, so I expected my stay at the Microtel by Wyndham to be equally bright. Unfortunately, my experience fell short, and I walked away feeling more confined than captivated. The cleanliness was undeniable, but I felt trapped without a window. No natural light to paint the day’s moods, just claustrophobic walls amplifying every sigh. And then there was the bed, perched high like a lonely throne guarding a secret stash of socks. Climbing aboard was an adventure, and comfort, well, let’s just say it kept its distance. Speaking of adventures, navigating the hotel late felt like an escape room challenge. The reception leaves by 7pm. So if your flight got delayed, good luck getting in because you will need a room key to enter the building. The price tag whispered luxury, but the experience shouted budget constraints. It felt like paying for a first class ticket on a rickety bus. Finally, just when I thought things couldn't get weirder, a fire inspector came knocking at my door like there was a fire only to tell me after i cut my shower short that he just wanted to do an alarm test and that he was told no one in the room. Apparently, my existence in the room was a mystery even to the hotel staff. Talk about a privacy breach that could put a damper on any shower! So, while the Microtel might claim cleanliness as its crown jewel, the lack of light, quirky furniture, disappearing reception, and questionable value cast a long shadow over my stay.

Our stay at micro hotel was honestly very good. The only thing which left a sour note was the $35 fee for parking, especially since there is parking just down the road from the hotel which is much cheaper. Overall the staff were lovely and the cleanliness was awesome.
