Perfect for a large family.
My family stayed at this property for a wedding. It held the 10 of us comfortably, and was in a perfect spot to get around town quickly. It’s near the restaurants and dollar general so quick runs for forgotten items were easily taken care of.

Family Fishing trip
Overall the property was good. The grass needed cutting because it was high but other than that we were fine with it. The house met all our needs and we had ample room for everyone. We will rent the property again if it’s available on the dates we return. We were able to pull our boats up to the dock and use for easy access to the river. Check in and check out was easy. If all our party showed up as expected, parking would have been an issue with the trucks and trailers but it wasn’t. Two trucks with two trailers was ok. But if we had had the other two trucks and trailers, we would have had to regroup on the parking situation.

Not ready
The house was not cleaned when we arrived after check in time. The owner was going to send someone over. But after about an hour or so, we were feeling uncomfortable so I called the owner and told him we weren’t staying. Our charges were returned and it worked out for the best! It looked to be a perfect place for fishing and a boys trip!

When you called I apologized and said I would get the cleaning crew over there right-away. When I called you back to tell you the crew was on the way, you said you had found another place online and that you wanted me to cancel their reservation. I was going to have you go to dinner at my cost while the crew cleaned the house, but you had already booked the new place. While the day of cleaning was a clerical error I did everything to make it right with the traveler after it happened. I don't think I deserve a two star rating. The cleaning crew showed up 30 minuets after they left.

Family Christmas
Jim was a gracious host. The house was large and well-outfitted for our family. The street location was nice with a canal in the back and view of the St. John's across the street. However, I didn't go far on foot before the surrounding area became quite sketchy. My mom said there were bollweevils in the cupboard, though I didn't see anything. I did see some mold in the fridge and on the counters which happens when you live near the water. Just wish it was cleaned up. Other than that, it was terrific.

Thank you for the review. The problem with the mold is probably my fault. I had the power off for 3 days with the refrigerator doors closed. The cleaning crew had already cleaned and I neglected to check the refrigerator after I turned the power back on. I have a yearly contract with a pest control company, I will have them do another sweep of the house again. The neighborhood is not scetchy it' just old.

Spacious Spot for our Men’s fishing trip
This was a great spot for our biannual men’s fishing trip. This was our first stay here, sought it out after outgrowing a previous place after 3 stays up the river. This place has plenty of space that accommodated 8 men comfortably. Well-equipped and host was real responsive. The area seemed to be nice, prime location in regards to some of our favorite fishing spots. Would stay again.

Peace and Fun
Beautiful place with water ways that takes you to the many springs and lakes. Quiet getaway with many amenities in a secluded location. Awesome place to spend time with family and friends away from the hectic daily live.

Great house!
We loved this house, it was perfect! From the size and location to the details - fishing poles, fire pit, outside seating, hammock - everything was wonderful and perfect for a small or large get-together. Highly recommend!

True Florida beauty

Boat Dock
We spent most of our time fishing off the covered Dock in the back yard canal. Caught enough fish to feed 6 to 8 people. Did we have a good time? Hell ya we did.

Spacious, beautiful accommodations.
Dispute a slight delay in checkin, this is a fantastic property! Beautiful, spacious house with great outdoor amenities. A family reunion in Welaka caused us to rent this location that sleeps 10. Pet friendly, roomy thru-out and a fantastic laundry room. Great screened in porch, fire pit & covered dock area with swing and hammock. Would highly recommend this beautiful home to friends & family for large groups or small.

Home away from home atmosphere. Great family time/
Very relaxing. Family in the area. Great food and dining places. Our niece and nephew live in the area and brought us golf carts. We did not get in the car except to go to Church on Sunday !!!! Home away from home atmosphere. We love sitting on the porch. The weather was great.

Great place
Very clean, spacious rental. Was perfect for our big family. Especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces; the fire pit table on the front porch, the screened in back porch and the deck area right on the water …thank you! Will definitely stay again in the future :)

Great location for a fishing getaway

Great location
We enjoyed our stay here. Great location for fishing. Clean home with plenty of room. Had everything we needed. Only down fall for us was the bass boat ended up not being available the day we wanted to rent it. I would stay here again.

We love this place

Better than expected
We were shocked at how much more beautiful the property was than the pictures. The house is beautifully furnished, super clean, and there's so much room!! The pontoon boat is older and looks a little weathered but runs great. Our family of 7 had a blast and would definitely stay here again!!

Awesome Time in Florida!!

Daughters wedding
We were in town for my daughters wedding. This was a beautiful well kept home, with screened in porch and lots of room to park. The boat rental was a bonus even though we only had 1 day available to use. We all want to plan just a relaxing long weekend to enjoy the whole area without wedding events. Thank you to the owner and the on-site manager and her pups. Love love love.

Heaven on the River
We had a wonderful stay. Welaka is a sweet town where everyone is so friendly. We felt welcomed and appreciated. Especially by Lexi and Jodi at Lexi’s cafe. Our host Jim was the bomb. We had a problem with the refrigerator when we first got there and he more than made up for it. We enjoyed 3 full days of boating and cool breezes on the dock and porch at night. We will definitely go back! Thanks Jim and Michelle and Welaka for a fantastic vacation!!

Sportsman Harbor rental.
This is the second time staying here. This house fits our family perfectly. It’s clean nice porches well lighted neighborhood. Safe for my three year old to walk in and out. Four bedrooms. The bed next door to the master needs a mattress topper or new mattress it’s very uncomfortable but all other beds are very comfortable. Anything you may need is there. Fabulous kitchen and large TV game library room. This house is not overly fancy but it’s very roomy and cozy clean. We will be renting again in future!

Great location-wonderful accommodations
It was better than the pictures- it was well stocked with everything. Enjoyed our stay, it was for pure relaxation and we did just that!!! The screened porch was awesome in the evening. We will be back!!!!

Wow what a place to have a getaway
We all had a blast, great house, great location and the fish were biting. Our house manager was a great help with answers to all our questions. We would highly recomend staying here, you won't regret it. Thanks Mr. Jim for a great rental and thanks to Michele for all your help, we will see yall again in October if the good lord is willing.
