"We were only here for two nights but loved the house. Everything was clean and ready for us! Jamie was excellent in responding to my questions. We hope to come back and enjoy all the amenities - exercise room, sauna, hot tub and pool!"

"On arrival the code for the door did not work the host was not available by phone. The house was cold upon entering and it took hours to heat up. 2 of the remotes for the mini splits had dead batteries and did not work. The (bed) in the guest room was a box spring with a mattress topper on it. The bed in the master was old and had a large sunken spot in the middle making it very uncomfortable. There was dog poop in the yard around the fruit trees. Overall we did not have a good stay."

"Nice property with plenty of parking. Especially for boats if your in the area to enjoy fishing Lake Trinity. Only about 25 minutes from the lake. Private and secure. The cabin has everything you need. The host was awesome and ready to help with anything you might need. Will definitely be back."

"We had a wonderful stay at Strawhouse Resort. The property is beautiful, with the cafe and patio along the river. Good pizza and coffee roasted on site. Amazing hospitality from Don, Julia and all the Strawhouse team. We stayed in the yurt. What a fun experience. It was cozy and well appointed. This area along the Trinity River is so beautiful. "

"This was a peaceful and rejuvenating stay. Lisa was a great host! The hot tub was so nice. Loved all the outdoor seating and the location. Deer coming and going and the river is a short walking distance away. Lisa has stocked the place with cornhole and other yard games. Perfect get away!"

"Great property, nice little hide-away. Enjoyed doing some fishing and hanging out with friends around the fire pit. No need to go anywhere but relax by the river. House was clean and welcoming (including a nice bottle of wine to enjoy). Close to home and perfect for a quick get-away. Thank you!"

"The guests that we met on property were awesome including the people they checked us in and worked the property. The property and cabin needed work. Lots of holes throughout mosquito netting. Most light switches and outlets didn’t work. Fridge didn’t work. Shower had hot water that lasted 5 mins. Futon in living was so wrapped and worn that just sitting on it gave you back pain. "We had a wonderful and relaxing Memorial weekend getaway with a beautiful view. The home was huge and clean for the most part. "This house was so perfect for us! We had six teens in the loft and 2 upstairs bedrooms. They enjoyed having their own space. My husband and I stayed in the downstairs room.
