The cabin was as advertised. Everything was clean, well, appointed and the surroundings were peaceful. The hosts were exceptional. They even left treats for us upon arrival. Would definitely book this property again.

Jack & Christy are great! The property is just perfect, and attention to detail inside and out of the cabin is seriously remarkable. Location is awesome with wildlife at your doorstep and a flowing river just a stone’s throw from the porch. couldn’t have asked for a more cozy blue ridge mountain getaway with my fiancé!Hoping to get up there for a different season to experience more of what western NC has to offer!

The cabin exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect and the cabin was just what we needed for a long weekend getaway. It has everything you could possibly need and was built and decorated with no expense spared. Our host Jack came and welcomed us with a box of goodies and gave us great ideas for restaurants in the area. If you want a great place to stay, this one does not disappoint.

This cabin is immaculate in so many ways, the craftmanship, its location, the feeling of security as its located on private property, the hosts are amazing and genuinely interested in your stay being the best it can be, and you can walk down to the rivers edge and fish all day!!!Plus Waynesville is one of the best if not THE best town in WNC.

CastAway Cabin is a little slice of paradise! My husband and I spent a long weekend here and enjoyed every minute. The spotless cabin is cozy and comfortable and the scenery is amazing. Jack and Christy were amazing hosts. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway, this is the place. We are already trying to figure out a time to go back!

Simply stated... it/they are special.

It is hard to add to the previous reviews that are all perfect scores and with glowing comments for the cabin(s) and for Jack and Christy. Here is what I can say... the most important measure in a successful business is the amount of return business. Jack and Christy have MANY returning guests who so love the cabins, the river, the mountains, and the people. Jack and Christy have done amazing things to recover the land and river from a once in a millennium disaster... a flood. But, they are back better than ever. Everything is great, so good, that we too will return in Sep for another visit to try one of the other cabins. This is a special place, cared for by special people. Don't miss it!!!

We had the most amazing relaxing time. The drive to the cabin is absolutely beautiful. It was nice to wake up and sit on the porch and read and just hear the water. We loved every second there. Keep up the good work guys. It was an amazing place. You’ve done a good job with it.

Castaway Cabin

Cast Away cabin was PERFECT for our anniversary! Absolutely Gorgeous! Listening to the river all day was extremely relaxing. A wonderful break from the noise. Jack and Christy are not only welcoming but also very thoughtful. They have truly poured alot of love into the cabin! Spectacular views, craftmanship, decor, ammenities, nothing was missed. My husband and I were amazed by all of the small details added. We can't wait to visit again!

A Quick Getaway

The property was perfectly cozy for my husband and myself. We sat on the porch every morning enjoying our coffee and watched the birds and listened to the river. One morning we were blessed with a couple geese on the river. The cabin feels very secluded but is close enough to shopping and restaurants.

What a lovely cabin that is so relaxing that it's so hard to leave to return home. Thoughtfully decorated and so clean that it looks brand new! The river is so soothing, and the view is incredible. We loved our visit so much. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, this is the best place!

Magical location, thoughtful provisions

First, the photos don’t do this place justice. You have three different spots to sit outside with coffee or a cocktail, overlooking the river. We watched osprey hunt for fish, had bonfires every night, and hiked around the property. The owners should write a manual on how to outfit a rental. We arrived to wine, a nice note, and some lovely snacks. Everything we needed - from coffee filters to binoculars to firewood - was already there for us, laid right where the need might arise. We’d rent here again in a heartbeat.

Castaway Cabin

If you are looking for off the beaten path but yet close to things to do you don’t have to look further. Jack & Christy have really hit the mark when it comes to luxury. Every little detail has been thought of down to binoculars on the porch! We definitely will be coming back to WNC as we barely began to see everything we want to. Thank you for a great getaway and for checking in on us when we got there- 10/10!
