Everything about this stay was fabulous. The location allowed us to walk to all the restaurants and shops in downtown Waynesville. The hosts thought of everything we would need and had lots of information about the area and the spa and fireplace. The beds were super comfy. We were able to bring our dog to this pet friendly place and really enjoyed walking him to the Smoky Mountain Dog Bar each day. And the stick library in the back was so fun! Thanks so much Tom and Carol! We can’t wait to rent from you again!

The house needs a great deal of care- the mattresses should be replaced. The bathroom tub/shower handle is moldy, the shower curtain rod was rusty, the carpets need shampoo, and there is a great deal of dust throughout. There are very narrow and steep stairs required to access the main level of the house, where there is a third bedroom, a second bathroom, and laundry facilities. The garden is scraggly andneeds attention. There should be a notification of this in advance.The dryer had to be turned on three times to dry the clothes. Lint was left in the tray from what seemed to be many previous uses.

Breathing in the Mountain air

We wanted a quiet and peaceful weekend in the Mountains, and Modern Mountain cabin was the perfect place. The house is beautiful, just as advertised, in a quiet neighborhood, and within walking distance to downtown. The perfect location with an amazing mountain view. Tom & Carol were great to deal with. Highly recommend.

St. Patrick's Day Stay

Tom & Carol have a wonderful property loaded with features.  The interior is very comfortable and exactly how it is portrayed in the listing.  The exterior has a great view from the front, with privacy at the rear of the property where the hot tub is located. Great location convenient to downtown Waynesville.  The owners have everything well documented. You will learn a lot about utilizing the property if you take 10 minutes to review information in the notebook put together by them.  Overall we had a great experience and would love to stay here again.

Amazing home

Such a serene place in town with everything you could need for a wonderful stay. The backyard was very private and beautiful. My daughter used it for meditation and yoga. I would definitely stay there again.

The house was clean and well stocked. The hot tub was definitely appreciated after 2 long days of driving. Morning views were spectacular and the walk ability to town and restaurant were all 👍👍The only difficulty for me, was the steps as I have knee issues. Thanks much for sharing your home!

Cozy mountain retreat

One of the best places my husband and I have stayed at. Great mountain view, quiet neighborhood, excellent hosts, very clean and cozy home. We especially enjoyed the hot tub in the very private backyard after a day of hiking. Highly recommended!!!

Awesome location and super clean!

The house is located just outside the town and overlooks it. The views are gorgeous! The hosts are friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond. Everything was so clean! The amenities are perfect for kids. My 6 year old boys loved downstairs with their own TV and video game.

Nice Place/Great Area

Nice, spacious, clean home with good written out instructions on how to use everything. Kitchen nicely equipped with fresh coffee which my husband loved. The hot tub out back is really nice and it is walking distance to Waynesville main shopping street with tons of shops and restaurants. Hopefully we can come back and spend some more time in the area to explore more. Also it was great having a washer and dryer available to use.
