"I booked this property because it acepts dogs. When I arrived the owner was quite horrible with me about my dog. Apparently you need to state about your dog coming even though the website doesn't state that! Poor communication and as a paying customer I was put off by the owners attitudes "

"The website portrays a very well equipped hotel, with functioning dining room, serving afternoon teas, funeral teas, Sunday lunches. There was no food available at all, no evening meal or even breakfast! This place is not even a Bed and Breakfast status, as no breakfast available. This is definitely one place to avoid, especially for the price charged. There was alcohol available provided you wanted top shelf stuff or cider. Will definitely never set foot in this place again."

"The Crown Hotel is in a quiet village. The name Hotel possibly leads you to believe something different to what this place is. That's not a moan but I would think more like B & B above a lovely old pub. The room was up 2 flights of stairs. Don't expect air conditioning but it did have a fan, blinds, curtains and windows so even though it was 28/29 degrees the room was still cool. The shower was excellent. "On arrival at Bell Cottage we were met by occupants who directed us around the corner to the owner's house. The owner was not in but able to communicate via the Ring doorbell. We were greeted warmly and told where to collect the keys to a different property with en-suite and a shared kitchen, situated to the the left of the owner's house. So a bit of confusion to start with, but the attic room we occupied was lovely, cosy, comfy and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay. "

"I was not really happy with the room I was given. I booked a normal room, but received a room for an impaired person. I was put in room 1. The shower was a wet floor shower, which was not too bad, but the bed was terrible. The mattress had collapsed and I ended up sleeping ( actually I didn't sleep) in a dip, ended up with body aches."
