"Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. "

"The check in process was remote on Monday evening at 20:00. Had been call the hotel all Monday afternoon to ask some question as sixth sense kicked in that check in might be an issue. Read on the website that phones are not staffed Monday and Tuesday!! Place is very tired, marked walls everywhere, a bit of cleaning and elbow greese would go a long way. Floors unswept for days. "The food was very good and staff great. Grace was a wonderful server. The inn is certainly olde and genuine. Not a pretend olde . Rooms are very unusual with individual names. All are separate from the pub. Obviously the pub is the main venue for the local population. The room was modest size but had two TVs. The shower floods the bathroom. Not a big deal."
