Jill was excellent to deal with. Great views and location (walking distance to town). Jill provided us with great info about the area (restaurants, water falls, wineries and breweries). Cute coffee bar setup in the house. Lots of little details to make it a homey, fabulous stay.

This is one of the nicest properties I’ve rented. The host was great; she provided a lot of info about the area and even left a chilled bottle of local wine to welcome us! The home is indeed charming, very clean, comfortable and well-organized (I loved the little chalkboard labels telling us where everything is). The view of the lake from the house is beautiful and there are 3 outdoor spaces for relaxing, all of which flow into each other, with lake view. There is no lake access from the house, but this was clearly stated in the property description. The beds are comfortable, with four pillows on each, of varying lofts. Bathrooms are well appointed and in very good condition. Personal care products were supplied. The road at the front of the house did have a lot of big trucks running both day and night. This wasn’t an issue for us, but might be a concern for someone traveling with kids or pets. I would not describe the town of Watkins Glen to be a place where one could spend an entire day, but it does have some very good restaurants, and there are many wineries and farm stores within a short drive. Overall, it was a great experience!

I come back to this house every year with a group of friends. It is the perfect location for us to explore wineries, hike trails, and visit Watkins Glen. We love the openess of the house and exceptional outdoor living space and often spend afternoons outside enjoying the lake views. Julie is a fabulous host who has added a lot of small details to the property that make it welcoming. We plan to keep coming back!

What a magical weekend. I can't think of a more perfect place to stay in Watkins Glen. The view of the lake was gorgeous, it was a quick, easy walk into town, and the house was charming. Will DEFINITELY be back.

Wonderful property with beautiful views, if I could’ve given it six stars I would’ve. It’s perfect for a relaxing stay or if you’re looking for things to do the Gorge, wineries, lakes, town, etc are all nearby. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly to messages. I can’t wait to come back here.

The property was beautiful, the view of the lake from the house is spectacular. the house its fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. everty detail has been though out. the host has everything labeled through out the house to make it easy and assesseble. the location is very close to resturants and shopping. the host was very helpful with suggestion of activities and restaurants for my family. She even did some personized notes and gift to make us feel even more welcomed. I would definalty recommend staying here if your looking for a place in this area.

What a perfect location to stay in Watkins Glen! The cottage was exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable. The views were exceptional with seating areas outside to soak it in. We dined each evening on the patio to soak in the weather with views. It is very close to town center with restaurants and shopping and easy access to the Watkin Glens waterfalls. We played golf at Soaring Eage and Mark Twain golf courses. We stopped and enjoyed a few of the local wineries. We visited the local town festival and viewed fireworks from the festival at the Tiki Bar down the street. We filled each day with adventure but the topping of each day was sitting out enjoying the views off the back porch! Highly recommend:)

Very warm, inviting home with beautiful lake views. Well stocked with kitchen, bath and bedroom items. Terrific coffee station! Walkable to town. We enjoyed hiking in Watkins State Park, wineries, lunch in the harbor, dinner on the lake and restaurants in town. Our host was invaluable in providing local information and was very helpful and available.

Our stay was excellent. Felt right at home immediately. The beds were very comfortable. We only needed to make our breakfast and coffee for the day, otherwise we were out and enjoying the area and for us the Nascar race. But the kitchen met our needs very well.Sitting outside on the deck looking at the Lake and watching the Moon rise was beautiful. Also sitting around the fire, making our s'mores, laughing and joking.

House was clean, well decorated, everything you could need from shampoo, conditioner, body wash even a coffee bar with flavored syrups, creamers , coffee and tea. Beautiful view, great outdoor furniture and fire pit! Host was amazing with many great recommendations. We hope to come back again!

This is a beautiful, charming house with breathtaking views of Lake Seneca. Julie is very organized, clean, and made settling in a breeze for my group. She even provided lots of information about local wineries and other things to do. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio while taking in the views. The house is very close to downtown, and we were able to walk there for dinner. I would definitely recommend staying here!

This home is absolutely lovely! The location is great -- beautiful view of Seneca Lake, lots of outdoor space with a deck, hammock, and fire pit. The home is situated in a quiet neighborhood, and Julie the owner, keeps the property meticulous. Home is stocked with everything you might expect and even things you wouldn't expect. Julie also went above and beyond to provide us with helpful hints about attractions, wineries, restaurants and more. We would definitely rent this property again. Our trip to Watkins Glen was made easy by Julie. Her home was so inviting a fully stocked with amenities beyond a normal VRBO. She even had a lovely welcome sign to greet us and responded promptly when we needed her even though the information was in the detailed notes she left for us. Gorgeous home and very comfy! You can't go wrong booking this lovely home. Thanks Julie for the wine and water. Our 60th birthday celebration was a blast. May you have many more renters that appreciate all the extras! Xx

Our location had a beautiful lake view! The property was clean and well kept with everything our family needed for a great time. We had great communication with the property owner as she was full of information on activities, restaurants, wineries, etc. Would love to return again!

This property is located within walking distance to a marina that has boat rentals, downtown and has breathtaking water views.The house is full of charm and character, it’s simply lovely.The host is organized, a great communicator and shared a lot around the best local flavors. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere but here when I visit again.

Our group of 8 (FFL) had a great stay. Although there isn't direct water access the view makes up for it. Lovely setting and only a mile from downtown Watkins Glen .We enjoyed our Cycle Boat tour with great music, snacks and libation. Julie is a great host, bubbly and welcoming. The cottage is sparkling clean, everything is labeled so an easy find. We all agreed we would return. Thanks, Julie.

Absolutely perfect home on the lake 3

Absolutely amazing stay! This lakehouse was the *perfect* spot for our girls’ July 4th weekend getaway. The views of Lake Seneca were truly breathtaking — whether we were enjoying morning coffee or winding down at night, the outdoor seating made it feel like a private retreat. The location couldn't be better: just minutes from downtown Watkins Glen but still peaceful and secluded enough to feel like an escape.The house itself was incredibly clean, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with anything you could possibly need. Everything was clearly labeled and easy to find, which made settling in so smooth. Julie was a phenomenal host: super communicative, kind, and full of fantastic local recommendations for wineries, hikes, and restaurants. You can really tell how much care and effort she puts into making sure guests have a flawless experience.Couldn’t have asked for a better home base for our trip. Highly, highly recommend — we’re already talking about when we can come back!
