Idyllic seclusion

The Water Pistoll property is perfect for fishing, kayaking, swimming and hiking. Surrounded by trees, with a profusion of birdlife, it is the ideal escape from modern life. The facilities are well thought out and functional. The outdoor shower is delightful and the accommodation area upstairs gives fabulous views out across Dryden Bay.

Great Hideaway

This was our eighth stay at Water Pistol. It has become our family treat to get away from it all and enjoy the location and relax together. It is a magic spot and we always come back refreshed.

Amazing property

This bach is bliss and perfect for off grid relaxation in a breathtaking environment. We loved fishing off the jetty, enjoying the bay and kayaking. The sealife is amazing and the kids loved the resident weka. The woodfire hot tub, outdoor gas shower and the gas fridge mean it is also a very comfortable stay. We will definitely be back!

Private Sanctuary

Overall we had a good stay at this property. The facilities are very basic as listed and very limited power. It's a really nice place to get away from it all if you want to enjoy the sound of birds and be on the water.

So Amazing

Water Pistoll is such a mint place to stay and unwind and relax, we had such a good time. The proximity to the outter sounds was just what we wanted as we went to ship cove, Motuara Island and Blumine Island. We caught enough fish for a decent feed, the kids had heaps of fun in the Kayaks and the dingy. Our time at Water Pistoll went way to fast, so we will definitely be back, next time for a little longer. We cant thank yous enough for letting us use your sweet bach as a holiday destination.

The Perfect "Mini-Moon"

We came to this batch as a mini-moon as we just had our destination wedding in Marlborough. This place was perfect as it was 'off-the-grid' and allowed us to unwind and relax to decompress from the perfect wedding we had. We loved living basic, having access by boat only and feeling like it was our own little world. The outdoor shower is a favourite, and fishing off the deck and catching dinner was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

True Break Away

The property is private and just a little cut off from the world. As a family we love it. This was our 6th visit. We enjoy the beauty of the place and live a simple life for a week. The shower fridge etc all work well on gas so we are quite comfortable.

Pistol Bach

What an awesome spot and home, we absolutely loved it. The house is such an awesome set up to relax and enjoy the surrounding area with great boat access via the large private jetty. We hope to return again in the future.

Excellent Bach

We had an excellent stay at the Pistol's bach. We had plenty of fine dining. The weather didn't totally play the game, but as the blub suggests - with the fire on and a glass of wine in hand - the view was still spectacular. Great proximity to Blumine for walks, and Punga Cove for pizza and beer, Cheers
