The Best Getaway in YEARS!!
I highly recommend this home. It was just far enough out but close enough to run into the stores as well. The internet was slow and we loved every minute of that. We played games, did puzzles, cooked amazing meals, drank adult drinks, fished, walked trails, read books, relaxed in the hot tub, sat on the upper balcony watched the river go by, enjoyed the warmth and crackling of the fire, and slept like a baby. It was the PERFECT fall break that was so desperately needed.

Raging river
Start was not so great check in at 4pm but when we got there cleaning person was still there and not done until 515pm. We had a rainy weekend, but it was super relaxing just sitting by fire in the beautiful fireplace watching the raging river through the big windows was awesome. House is nice, all they need to do is update the downstairs bathroom. Hot tub perfect and clean. We tried to hike the private hiking trail that is on the property, but it was deep under water. Plan on coming back for sure to see how it is in summer.

Majestic
Beautiful home! And Even more beautiful nature and swimming hole outside. I would liked to have seen more of the floor plan in a blue print style to help with planning. We would have packed a little differently for carting things up and down the stairs .

Perfect family visit!
The home was perfect! We had family come in out of town and they had never been to the PNW area. It was the perfect experience for them! They had space, views, trails throughout the property and the river. It was perfect!

Amazing setting, house needs some love
10+++ for the setting. It was magical. We saw deer eating right outside our window on our last night. We got to enjoy listening to the river flow by while eating breakfast outside. The hikes around the property were fun and the setting looked like a Thomas Kinkade painting. It was too cold to do more than dip our toes in the river but the beach would be fun during the warmer times. The house needs some love. The railings for most of the banisters are loose. A safety hazard for kids. The heater wouldn’t work and we had to have a HVAC tech come out to fix it and the directions were lacking when we tried to adjust it ourselves (the literature says there is one thermostat but there are actually 3). One of the remote controls for a fan/light in the living room obviously hasn’t worked in quite awhile leaving the fan to permanently run and no ability to use the light. We were confused on the check out time because the booking said 10 but all the literature left with the directions says that check out is 11. The awning for the top bedroom deck didn’t work. All that being said don’t be afraid to book this home. The setting more than males up for any of the other things that need a little love.

Great Spot
Our second visit to the home and it did not disappoint…again. Weather was gorgeous, river cold! Kitchen stocked with the basics. Plenty of towels and hot tub towels. Look forward to visiting again!

Wonderful Property
Had a wonderful stay at this secluded property, it was everything we could have wanted. Great house with everything provided you need Including river floaties. Excellent location, appreciated the privacy, views, and amenities, FYI that sun is on the private beach earlier in the day. :) We had an 8 month old with us, and the house was mainly tile floors, hard on her pampered Little knees used to carpet But otherwise it was the perfect place to escape. We already plan to come back again!

Safe and clean!

Great location and design; major logistical problems
We were given the wrong code to get past the gate and no code to get into the house. So we figure.....call the contact number. But there is no phone service in the area. If we just didn't luckily run into a person there to work on the property, who knows how long it would have taken to get in? When you spend this much on a place, this should not happen. Also the dishwasher did not work, the hot tub was refilled at the time we came so we never got to use it (hadn't warmed up) and 2 of 3 TVs could not connect to Netflix, which is the only TV connection available.

We are sorry to read you did not enjoy your stay more. The check-in info does include the gate code, and the code for the door is further down in the information. We do mention in the home binder cell service is unlikely in the area, and we apologize if this caught you surprise. The dishwasher is being worked on, the hot tub had to be drained due to safety reasons for health issues and did need about 6 hours to heat up. We hope to have an opportunity to impress you in the future!

Superior setting
The view from the home with the wall of windows looking over the river was amazing. I LOVED the picnic table for just admiring the view and peacefulness.

Peace of nature
Wonderful stay on the river. The inside is comfortable and decorated with lovely pieces that highlight the feel of being 'away from it all'. Loved the views and the fireplace for cool nights. The kitchen is well appointed for making delicious meals. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful updated house with amazing view and lots of space
It is right next door to another cabin so it’s not completely remote, but mostly private. The hot tub water was a little murky and we wished the living room furniture was loungier but aside from that everything was immaculate. Very spacious house with everything you need. My favorite accessory was the picture of a smaller cabin on the wall inside the cabin, a good reminder that you could have it a lot worse. The beech spot was cute and we can’t wait to come back in summer to wade in the water. Beds were comfortable, house heated up fast. And that bidet though... yes honey. We felt like queens at this cabin.

This place is amazing!
This place was incredibly amazing. The house had EVERYTHING we could possibly need in the kitchen (We baked a cake, made pork chops, had pasta, made coffee in the french press, and more!) The house was incredibly clean. And the view- 110%. There are also two easy trails around the cabin. THere's 2 across the river, but we weren't able to do them in Nov. My kids loved it and we are planning to return in the summer! The only 'bad' was the hot tub was dirty inside, so we chose not to use it.

Outstanding view of the river from the house!
Overall we had a wonderful week at this riverfront rental. The view from the kitchen and family room were just beautiful! The river and the trees that surrounded the cabin created an enchanted environment. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and enjoyed making breakfast and dinner there most days. The beds were comfortable and allowed everyone some space and a good night sleep. It was especially nice to have such a new washer and dryer available for our use. We think it would add a lot to the place if the bathrooms were updated. We realize they are on a septic system but the toilets did not flush easily. Also, the showers worked fine but newer would just be cleaner and feel nicer. The cleaning gal worked hard to prepare the place for our stay and did not mind us hanging out when we arrived a little early. She was sweet and even invited us to unload into the parts of the rental she already had cleaned. A beautiful area and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Very Private Log Cabin on the River
I stayed at this property in August 2018 for 2 nights for my father-in-laws 70th birthday. There were 6 of us total. The cabin was very clean and warmly decorated with tons of windows overlooking the river. The beds were comfortable. The twin beds were a little small and better for kids. The rock fireplace was gorgeous. Everything went perfectly. The weather was in the 80's, which was perfect for a quick dip in the cool river. We saw neighbors once in the nearby cabin, but other than that, there were no other people around. It was very tranquil. The picnic table outside was huge and perfect for outdoor eating or drinking and playing board games offered by the host. There is a waterfall outside the windows, with soothing sounds that help you to sleep. We have no complaints. It was perfect. Riverbend Lodge definitely earns its five star reviews. You will not be disappointed.

We loved every minute of our stay at River Bend Lodge. It's even more beautiful in person!
The pics are what lead us to book this property for our family vacation, bit once we got there, we realized it's even better in person! There are trails on the property for easy enjoyment, the river and beach area are perfectly located, steps from your door. We had nightly Sorry and Uno games. It was a perfect place to unwind, recharge, and build wonderful family memories! We will definitely be back. I almost booked a return trip before checking out, that's how AweSOme this place is!

Great place for a get away!
This riverfront lodge was perfect for our family. The river was a perfect place for my niece to use her paddle board. The lodge is roomy and the kitchen worked well for fixing meals and snacks. We will definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful, quiet retreat
It was a wonderful location for a reunion of friends. Plenty of space and sleeping accommodations. As noted in some of the other reviews, you may want to bring your own additional firewood. The view of the river and water fall was relaxing. WiFi seemed to work pretty well, although we limited our time on it. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and peaceful
We loved the view from inside the cabin. It snowed during our Christmas visit and the view was magical. Beds were good except for the "pullout sofa" - only a small child could have been comfortable on it and we had five adults and two teenagers and had we known we could have brought a blowup mattress. It was so dusty in the cabin and we guessed maybe it had just been a long time since another guest stayed there. Hot tub was great! We also enjoyed small hiking trails right outside our door. Overall it was a fabulous stay. We had a great time!

Thanksgiving Vacation
This was the perfect location, perfect amount of space, full kitchen and I absoulty loved the sound of the rushing white waters while sleeping or erelaxing in the hot tub. We woke up to watching deers right outside the windowns in the moringand the fire place crackled the best while playing games and eating.. We will come back!!

Terrific family vacation spot
This house was just perfect for our family of 6. All the bedrooms were comfy! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, etc. we particularly enjoyed the location of this home. After a morning of hiking in the gorge, we all came back to the house and played in the river all afternoon. Our ten year old grandsons loved it and the grow ups did, too! We ate dinner each night out on the picnic table with the sights and sounds of the river next to us. Delightfully relaxing to be there surrounded by acres of lovely woods. We are definitely planning to go back again!

Beautiful setting. Peaceful.
Loved the sound of the river outside. Beautiful. Old growth forest is amazing. Cabin was comfortable and blends into the surroundings. Hot tub was great. Our only complaint would be the outdoor grill working at 25% (the oven sufficed) and the sound of the indoor dehumidifier which runs all of the time (we understand it may be a necessary trade off). Would stay here again for sure.

Family friendly
We are from Texas, I booked this house so I could visit my aunt and uncle in Camas, WA. My sister, brother-in-law, my children and grandchildren (two 3 yr olds) stayed in the house. My concerns based on the pictures was that the river would be too close to the house and the toddlers would be tempted to get too close to the river. The water is close but requires you to walk a short trail to get there. The kids never tried to go to the trail alone. We spent most of the time outside. We took the lawn chairs(provided) down to the private beach. (shared with Eve's cottage). We ate dinner outside at the extra large picnic bench every evening. The owner's directions were perfect and the tip to stop at the grocery store was great. The binder about the house history and trails on the property were a big hit. If my family takes another trip to Washington I would stay here again. It is close enough to most tourist attractions or better yet never leave to property and relax. The house does not have cell phone reception that was difficult to adjust to not sending/receiving phone calls but we managed with the wifi to communicate most of the time.

Great family getaway!
This place was wonderful! We swam and floated in the river and enjoyed the amazing view, what a gem! We can't wait to come back and maybe rent both homes next time! Hard to find anything to improve on. I guess I would say the beautiful large dining table is hard to use in The small space it is currently in. We all thought it would be great on the other side of the great room. Also although we have a keurig we could not successfully work the one at the house. It may be broken or is complicated enough to need instructions. But those are every small things. This place was magical!

Could be 5 stars with a little TLC
The house is situated on a lovely river that will relax you to sleep. The house was large and had lots of interesting nooks and crannies. The property is really the star of this show. The trails were very fun to walk on . This property could easily have 5 stars with a little work. The house like other people have indicated needs some work. It was clean But the faucet in the kitchen was broke and we had to buy a screw driver to fix it. The frig wobbles badly on the tile floor and we worried it might tumble over. We used the grill once but it was missing the handle to lift the lid and was extremely dangerous to use. There was no firewood and the supplies were very sparse and had to go buy ourselves. We would definitely stay there again but the owners could up their game and it would be 5 stars from us.

RiverBend Lodge
Great cabin with an incredible view! Spent the first week of April here visiting family in Portland. We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and the location and will definitely come back. Hiking nearby was wonderful, and the drive to Portland is short (less than an hour without traffic). The cabin was equipped with everything we needed to eat in, but close enough to go out as well. Would love to return during the summer when swimming in the river is an option. Fabulous adventure!

Location & View wonderful. Accomodations adequate.
The location and view were wonderful. The house was comfortable yet a bit dated. Wifi not adequate for our college student who was trying to do assignments while on spring break!
