Lovely, Spacious, and Walkable Old Town property

We stayed at Brockett House with several extended family members for a long wedding weekend. The home is well-stocked with items such as robes, slippers, soaps, lotion, and more. Beds are comfortable and the home is beautiful. I appreciated the prompt reply of the property management team given the somewhat tricky parking situation-a permit is required to park on the street and we had a few vehicles to accommodate. Once we downloaded the August app, the lock was super cool and easy to access--and you can't even see it from the outside! Two callouts/observations: The home is definitely a classic Alexandria townhouse--so there are a lot of stairs. For us it was not an issue, but for any mobility-challenged folks this may be something to consider. The second thing is the home steps right out onto the main sidewalk, so for families with small children, strollers, etc. this may be another consideration. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this property (and management group) to future renters looking for a comfortable place to stay that is highly authentic to the surrounding historical area. Thank you!

Perfect family gathering in Old Town Alexandria

The house was beautiful with a good configuration of bedrooms for couples and singles. The location was the best--easy walking through beautiful neighborhoods. We had no problem finding parking close to the house. We had ages 40 to 75+ staying there and all were very comfortable. I highly recommend Brockett House!

Amazing beautiful home with the BEST hosts!

We are spoiled for life. This Vrbo goes above & beyond for this extremely picky guest. We loved our stay & had everything we could possibly need & more! The beds are so comfy & the bedding is ultra expensive & top quality. We had a multi generational family staying to intern our father at Arlington & the location couldn’t have been better!!! Thank you to Jenni who made our stay wonderful in every way!

Beautiful home in great location!

Perfect house for girls weekend in Old Town Alexandria! We each had our own beautiful bedroom and 3 lovely bathrooms! The house is 10 minutes from King Street. It was a great weekend!

Amazing home in prime Alexandria location

This beautiful historic home was a pleasure to stay in. It is located in the perfect location with easy on street parking. We walked to fabulous restaurants in many historic sites. Beds were fabulously comfortable kitchen and dining area was wonderful and highly usable, beautiful flowers and champagne Waiting at our arrival. We truly hope will have the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home again.

Extended family for Graduation

This beautiful home is in a great location in Alexandria and has ample street parking. It is the perfect mix of charming colonial with gorgeous updated amenities. Poshabodes was very easy to work with and the house is beautiful! Great linens, towels, and kitchen! Perfect for 3 generations. Street parking was a plus and easy to load and unload.

Family Gathering

We loved every minute of our stay! We felt pampered from the time we opened the door with the music playing, champagne chilling and pastries waiting for us on arrival!! Every room was delightful and every guest loved their bedroom! A few of us want to know what mattresses are used in the house as well felt like we slept so well!! Linens were high quality and kitchen was very well stocked. Location was fabulous and an easy walk to so many things. Also want to give a special shout out to the concierge (Jen) as she answered so many of our questions before arrival and gave wonderful suggestions for restaurants and a catering service. We hope to be return guests and want to try other Poshabode properties as well!!!

Wonderful location very near DC

great stay. Wonderful kitchen and perfect location for walking in town or down by the river. Parking was not an issue although we thought it might be. Very close for family to fly into Reagan and great for getting to downtown DC

The perfect stay!

Every interaction that we had with the team was wonderful and reasonable. This property reminded me of what renting houses used to feel like. The house is spacious, well decorated and expertly cleaned. This is truly the best rental we’ve ever stayed in and it’s not even close! I appreciated the teams willingness to make sure we enjoyed our stay. This included not having to complete a long list of checkout rules that so often happen at other properties. We would gladly stay at this property again!

Awesome house!

Wonderful Birthday trip!

My friends and I celebrated my birthday in Alexandria at this property. And what a beautiful property it was!!! So light and airy and well appointed. The pictures don't do it justice. Champagne awaiting in bedroom and wonderful snacks waiting in kitchen. I would definitely stay at this property again and again!

Absolutely wonderful stay

We had nine adults and one baby. We were all very comfortable. Beds are fabulous. Very clean and excellent location. We grabbed the train to DC and enjoyed shopping and entertainment in Alexandria. We had two vehicles and parking was no problem at all. If we are back in the area, this will be the first place we look to book.

Family Vacation to Start off the Summer

We stayed at Brockett House while visiting the D.C. area. It was a beautiful, well appointed home with luxurious bedding, towels and furniture. There was plenty of room for a large family of 7 that included grandparents and an infant. The location was within walking distance of many restaurants and shops, and a short drive to the sights around the area. Our host, Melissa, was the best! She was so helpful and responsive to all of our questions and requests. Would highly recommend this home and Posabodes.

Great house and location

I have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals and this is one of the best. The house had a lot of wonderful touches and all questions and requests were quickly responded too. I feel lucky to have found this. We walked all around Alexandria and Washington DC was an easy Lyft ride away.
