"A great place to enjoy lovely mountain views from the dining area and sunroom. On a clear day you can use the telescope to see the moon's terrain. The cool weather was glorious for sleeping without air conditioner although ACs were in every room if needed. We enjoyed playing fussball, throwing darts, and playing volleyball (brought our own) on the extensive lawn. Cleared paths around the property made morning walks so peaceful and relaxing. "Great location! It had all the necessities but there was dog hair literally everywhere, all over the couches and the carpet smelled like every wet dog in Vermont. We ended up checking out one day early because of the smell. If it was just me it wouldn’t be that big of a deal because I brought my own bedding but my wife and daughter couldn’t handle another night."

"The Vines is a beautiful home with luxurious accommodations. We booked this property because it was perfect for our large family, and it truly exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of space for everyone—comfortable beds, great common areas to spend time together, and enough room to spread out when needed. We stayed while attending our daughter’s graduation from Norwich University, and the location was ideal—close enough to town, yet peaceful and tucked away. We had a wonderful experience...

"We had a wonderful experience at "Fantasy Island," where we had come for a family gathering. The caretakers, Cathy, Dylan and Aleia were attentive and caring. Dylan and Aleia were fantastic in helping our four grandchildren aged 7-10 with zip-lining across the pond, even when it started raining! The many other activities they offer outside (swimming, boating, hiking, visiting the animals, etc) and inside (playing pool, ping-pong, air hockey, etc.) kept everyone engaged. It's a fun place and...

"We spent the night in Mad River Valley at the 1830 House for a weekend event. The house was clean and cosy and it accommodated all of us. The Wifi worked well and we loved the privacy each of us had in our own rooms. We also appreciated the kitchen (there are two, if you book the whole house - one up and one down!). It was close to our venue, the Mad River Barn, too. The only downside (minor) was the steep stairwell to the second floor. There was no railing to guide guests. My 84-year-old mom...
