"This was a very nice home right on Bass Lake. we started our day on the back porch sipping coffee and watching a muskrat in the lake. Bortell’s was a very short drive. Downtown Pentwater was very close. We drove and walked to a beach access point on Lake Michigan. Managing temperature in the house was very difficult, there is central heat and maybe a stand alone A/C unit. we were able to open windows to keep things cool part of the day, but in the heat of summer it might be tough to stay...

"Great location. We stayed in summer and it was very warm in the house. They told us there was a window unit but we never found it. Smoke detectors started going out around 11:30 one night. Are hardwired in so couldn’t take all the way off so just had to hear the beep. When we arrived the keypad wouldn’t work so had to use a key. Great location and really cool property. If it was cool at night it could be a perfect place. "

"The house is beautiful and well appointed. It was very clean and well supplied with towels and supplies, even keurig cups! There was plenty of room to be together or have alone time. It was an easy walk to town and if the weather had been warmer to the beach. Jason is very responsive to any questions. I would highly recommend staying at this VRBO."

"My family came to stay for a long weekend and we enjoyed the close walking distance to the Ludington downtown area. The common areas of the house were spacious and we enjoyed sitting out on the back patio. Be warned the stairs are pretty steep and besides for the main bedroom, the other beds aren’t that big. It worked out for our family though because there were enough beds and a pullout. The air conditioning worked fantastically while we were there and overall we had a great time! "
