After a 12 hour drive we couldn’t enter the property cause door batteries were dead. We had to leave the door unlocked throughout our stay because once locked it wouldn’t reopen. Exterior of property is neglected and buggy because leaves aren’t raked. Outdoor furniture is filthy. Interior is very compact and updated. Beds and pillows are uncomfortable. Only 3 Drinking glasses. Impossible to use the outdoor space. We left a day early.

Stop Rentin until further notice

The location was great. The property was filthy. The front and back porch have not been cleaned in months. The grill was disgusting. The towels were old and stained with bleach. There were spiders webs inside and outside the properly. The sheets and pillows had a horrible damp smell. Close out the property. DO A DEEP CLEANING then you can start renting. The chairs outside were so filthy could not even use them.

Motel 6 at a Hilton Price

I sent a very detailed email to the property manager who began engaging in a conversation with me that very day, but has yet to follow up from a month ago! I tried to give this feedback privately, but since he has chosen to drop communication, here is a portion of my feedback. This is a lovely property. The "bones" of it are good, but if you want to be really comfortable & functional, you'd best bring a lot of kitchen items, bath items, cleaning items, etc. This lovely cottage/cabin feels like it has been filled with "minimum do." VERY sparse kitchen and bathroom items. A cheap (Dollar Tree?) broom. NO MOP IN A "PET FRIENDLY" LISTING!!! The worst of it all is a TRUE safety hazard. I will amend my review if I overlooked information in the listing or check in procedures regarding this, but I do not recall seeing anything about there being a TREACHEROUS, non-lighted set of outdoor stairs to access the property!! If someone has a handicap, they will not even be able to access the property. Going down those stairs at night is quite scary bc they are unlighted,uneven and leaf covered. This is a true hazard and may even be an ADA violation as it is not mentioned anywhere in the listing or rental agreement. Additionally, the ONLY outdoor lighting is the light on the deck beside the entrance. This is a cute cottage with lake views, but it REALLY needs to have a lot of "stuff" updated inside, and the owners need to make people aware of those stairs!

Just terrible

No key card to get into the gates, it wasn’t replaced from a previous stay I’m assuming so it was VERY difficult coming in and out! The master bed was DISGUSTING it had tons of hair, blood and even a bandaid in it. The owner of the company offered to have the cleaning company come clean WHILE WE WERE THERE…… uh no? It’s past midnight and I’ve already washed the sheets after an 8 hour drive. Then ants in the kitchen, coming to the trash can with no food in it, again owner wanted an exterminator to come out. Cobwebs were everywhere. As a GUEST paying $$$$.$$ we would expect everything been done prior to our arrival and stay. The only compromise acceptable was dinner on him, but a night refund stay equaling probably the same amount would have made this all much better. So beware, if you’re booking a stay here it’s far from clean… No key card…. Never ever again!

Wonderful, very comfortable stay at a beautiful place

We enjoyed our 4-day stay very much. The house is well-appointed and super comfortable. We had everything we needed there and more: kitchen is stocked well, great showers, linens, etc., loverly living / dining space to hang out. We enjoyed our time on the front porch, walking around, playing golf, fishing, and hiking. Thank you for our wonderful experience and we are looking forward to coming back.

Great remodel

So the house was very nicely remodeled, in a lake community that is very hilly, and has lots of deer roaming that are fun to watch. I will say that in the description it talks about sitting on your front porch and enjoying a cup of coffee. My only thing would be to say that we were never able to sit outside, and if we did go outside for a few minutes, we would have lots of mosquito bites. I wore long pants and a sweatshirt to walk my dog in July. The remodel is beautiful, they did a great job. I would only venture to say that it needs more kitchen supplies, it only had four bowls and four coffee cups. Also some kitchen knives other than steak knives would be wonderful. 20 minute drive to restaurants and grocery store. Not easy lake access really anywhere that we found.

Amazing!

Best experience from the minute I made the reservation! The house was fabulous, completed updated! The water view was nice to see from the porch! Quite private community. Our HOST was by far the best! He always stayed in touch and was easy to reach when needed! I would highly recommended him as your HOST for any property needs!
