The house was perfect! Nice big kitchen for us to cook thanksgiving. Weather was terrible the whole time but the comfy accommodations made it relaxing to watch the weather while watching movies.

My family enjoyed this property. The kitchen was nice with updated appliances. The bathroom was spacious. We also like the close access to many beaches off 101 and close proximity to Newport. The game room was fun for evenings after a day at the beach. Some improvements for the property could be cleaning: the blankets did not smell fresh and we had to clean out the coffee maker ourselves. The open step at the top of the staircase was a bit scary for small children. Bonus: the property was really close to an awesome playground that was recently built.

The views were stunning and we were for the most part comfortable. I felt like the place was pretty clean minus dust bunnies under the beds. The kitchen had a really nice fridge and the bathroom shower head was really really nice. There was not a whole lot of written instructions, and felt a bit like hide and seek to figure out how to navigate a few things like finding the game room, and working the AC, etc.. The place could use a love seat instead of rocking chairs. It really only comfortably seated 3 adults. I also feel there should be better pictures of the sunken entry way, and or a BIG disclaimer about it. Bringing my aging dog & 85 year old mother, that entry way was a point of stress. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves.

weekend away

I missed being able to walk to the beach but it was a beautiful area, the view of the bay and end of the spit was lovely. We didn't miss any sunsets! My dog loved the dirt road walk at the end of the road better than the beach. We could have used another dish towel in the kitchen but otherwise we were very comfortable.

Family trip

Overall our stay was great. The house was very clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood with a partial bay view. The fully fenced yard was also a bonus for us since we have 2 young children and a dog. Check in was an absolute breeze, and there was even an option for a clean towel exchange. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed as far as dishes and utensils. My kids were a little intimidated by the security cameras and closed off lower level and what I assume are storage areas upstairs, but they are young. I would definitely recommend this property to families looking for a location tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet still close to town and beaches.

Great space for the price!

Property was pretty much as expected. Pros: good space, good view, quiet neighborhood, nice kitchen and living room, fun game space. Cons: two laundry bags full of towels/sheets by the door. We didn’t know what they were. No toaster, ice machine needs defrosted, coffee machine needed cleaned before it would work, windows needed cleaning, no deck table/chairs to sit outside on the deck. Also, the unit sits on top of another. It looks like the lower unit isn’t used but when I requested a call to ask if we should be expecting others below us, I didn’t receive a call. We didn’t see anyone. The place was great for the 4 of us. Overall the property is good and I would recommend. There’s just a couple details for us that keep it from 5 stars, and if addressed, would push it up.

Quirky property

Where to begin? I’m big on full disclosure and we’ve rented many times on the Oregon coast. -Very clean. Enough space for the four of us. Pleasant. -Interesting combination of updates. - Don’t show up a minute before check in because the code won’t work! -Be forewarned that this property is owned by “Sweet Homes” and involves extra steps for approval. It doesn’t appear to be a space much loved by actual owners. -The price point for this property, given its location, which is 1.6 miles from a beach, is overpriced. It’s located in NE Waldport Heights. -There’s a fenced in yard if you have a dog. There’s also a lovely deck but- alas, no chairs or table to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee or the stars at night. -Ice maker doesn’t work. Outlets are placed behind furniture so difficult to plug in electronics. First floor bedroom shades don’t work. There’s a bathtub but no way to take a bath because the stopper isn’t functional. -The property has been attended to with attention to what might be needed but nothing beyond that. In short, no this isn’t a five star property. It’s average.
