This is by far the best possible place we could have taken our young men for a Bible retreat. Deb is an extremely good host and the cabin is unlike anything else. Beautiful!

Had a great time with friends and family out at the retreat. The cabin is amazing and provides a down-home cozy feel. Lots of room for activities and plenty of fun. If you have plans in Steamboat, just check the weather! The drive is a bit long, but beautiful and scenic. Plenty of wildlife and great staff nearby to assist in an emergency. Hoping to comeback sometime soon!

Perfect escape

Beautiful home with everything you need. Decorative for holiday allowing you to feel tge holiday experience. Stove top had a few burners we couldn't get lit, the numbers on door keypad are worn out so we just kept laundryroom door unlocked to get back in. . The ice maker never worked. Other than that we were very happy with our experience. Thank you!!!! thost was amazing

Men’s Retreat

Our Young Adult Men’s Retreat stayed for three days, and we couldn’t have been more happy with our stay. When we first arrived, we were overwhelmed with the beauty and peacefulness of the property. The Cabin had more than enough beds, a large kitchen, and the most beautiful views we have ever seen. Deb was one of the nicest people we have ever met. She visited us in person to show us the property and assured us that we would be well taken care of. This property went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend this to anyone e with a large group or family.

Extended Family Stay

This is a gorgeous vacation home both inside and out. It had everything we wanted and more. Our party consisted of 10 adults, 2 children and all of our dogs. Deb is very accommodating and gracious. She took the time to enlighten us on the area and the work that is being done there for animal and fowl rehabilitation. We will definitely be returning.

Great Ski Trip!

We had an amazing time staying here for our Steamboat ski weekend! The cabin was very well equipped, Deb was a very gracious host, and the property was beautiful! We spent most of our time in Steamboat, however everyone wished we could have spent more time in house. It slept 15 comfortably and made the weekend that much more enjoyable! Highly recommend!

Great time with family

Perfect place to bring a bigger family to enjoy Colorado. Deb was great on info for the area. She also gave us a heads up on roads being closed and a detour around it during our stay. Everyone had a good time during our stay.

Wonderful, relaxing property

We had a great stay! The cabin was comfy, well supplied, and roomy. Deb was awesome and very knowledgeable; she was also accessible and friendly. We would love to come back!

Awesome place!

This house is perfect for a large group of people!! We saw so many animals just sitting on the back deck. It's a pretty magical place all around. The house could use some box fans (we purchased some ourselves, although Deb said she would go and get some for us) because airflow was minimal, and it was hot without AC (unusually warm weather, though). The directions, although detailed, through us off because it wasn't clear the house was BEFORE the address that was listed. I think they could be simplified and will lead to less confusion. ;) All in all, a great place to stay and we would return!

Magical Ski Retreat

This is a very special place and we were delighted to have the opportunity to enjoy it. Manager Deb gave us a fascinating orientation of the history and wildlife in the area and was extremely responsive and helpful. We skied the trails into the Routt National Forest and were completely taken by the landscapes and views of the valleys below. The cabin were clean, cozy and comfortable and the overall experience exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a retreat unlike anything else.

Great Family Getaway

Wanted to spend some family time together over the holiday break. Our stay was perfect! The house was very clean and had everything we needed from a plethora of bath towels to enough pots and pans for a small army! The views were spectacular! We had a great time outside in the snow building a snowman, having snowball fights and checking for animal tracks. Mama moose and calf frequented the warm water pond. In addition, we saw deer, elk, magpies, a hairy woodpecker, coyote, and the biggest, fattest snow shoe hares imaginable! When we needed to thaw, the cozy fireplace with plenty of wood, the pool table and games as well as three levels to spread out in provided fun for all. You couldn’t ask for a better host than Deb who provided info on everything from the house’s history and local wildlife to weather reports and places in Walden. Would recommend this place if you are looking for some downtime in a peaceful setting!

This it’s not what the pictures show , this it’s way better you make this cabin your home Debbie it’s amazing host and things to do are amazing .. the view it’s lovely I can only say that It! Has being the best cabin we stayed so far and trust me we do this every year .. rent you won’t regret

A great stay in a sublime scenic setting.

We had a wonderful stay at this spectacularly scenic home. We visited Rocky Mountain National Park while here and discovered that we enjoyed better views and saw more wildlife from our living room than at the National Park. Deb is a great host and has a wealth of information. The hikes on the property were spectacular with fall colors at their peak. We made many treasured memories and hopefully will visit in future.

Perfect for our Family Reunion

The house is located on the west side of North Park with beautiful views. The spacious family room with large windows facing south offer exceptional wildlife viewing along with great scenery. Bedrooms were roomy, the kitchen was well equipped, and the extra refrigerator really was needed for us. All in all, an exceptional value. There are trails on the property as well as hiking trails nearby on the Forest allowing everyone with an opportunity to explore.

Excellent experience

We loved staying here and Deb was a great host. The location of the property was superb with a mountain view and wildlife. The house was spacious and worked well for our family. We will hope to visit again someday, and wish we could have stayed longer.

Peace and tranquility

This is our second time staying here and we love the peaceful surroundings. Sitting on the deck watching for wildlife. Playing games with the family. Deb is a great host and makes sure you have everything from propane to paper towels.

Great place to be a part of nature

Well equipped in the kitchen, gray space to spread out in. The wildlife is amazing, all from the deck, family room and kitchen! Lots of trails for hiking also!

Family Getaway

Spacious cabin in a beautiful, remote location. Plenty of room to spread out. The kids LOVED the loft and the master is huge. Other bedrooms are also nice. Downstairs rooms were a little loud and could hear everyone upstairs but that’s normal. Could use a little updating. We saw moose every day. Made lots of memories. Nice place for a family reunion.

Great time

The property was perfect for our large group and dogs. We spent two night s at the cabin. There was something for all of us to do. Ice fishing, pool, games, sledding. The cabin was set up great for kids and adults. Kids loved the loft. Teens loved the game area and adults loved the main floor with the beautiful view! We do a large group trip every year, and will definitely be back to this cabin.

Beautiful home with everything you need!

It was wonderful! Everyone had plenty of room. It was a beautiful property. There was a wonderful place to sled 🛷 the kids loved it and we were able to see some wildlife.
