"We had a great stay in New Castle. The house is located right of the main road but, it still felt private and secluded. The amenities outside really made this location. Great areas to relax and enjoy nature. There is an adorable coffee shop in town that serves breakfast and lunch. Roanoke is a 40 minute drive from town. I traveled with my elderly father so, we did not hike any of Jefferson National Forests. We are hoping to travel back in when it’s warmer to the joy the property and area more. "

"The cabin was very quiet, just what we came for during our sisters' weekend getaway as a meeting place between North Carolina and Ohio. It was very clean (that's important and easily critiqued for me). The photos don't do the nice cabin justice. It's new, and still has a new smell as of October 2025. "Great stay! So honored to be the second guests! This place is adorable. Very well done. Stayed here with my husband and three teenagers. Came to enjoy a VT football game and to bring our freshman daughter home for Thanksgiving. We were all very comfortable and happy. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The primary bed downstairs is sooooooo comfortable! Didn’t want to get up in the morning, haha. We cooked some yummy breakfasts and the kitchen had everything we needed. You will not regret...

"Small, quaint, lovely cabin! We loved everything about this cabin. We had the most relaxing mini vacation. The only thing was no lighting outside at night. The owner was very helpful with any questions and didn't live far away. Don't let the heating situation scare you, we stayed very warm as the owner tends to the wood daily. I plan to visit again in the summer time."

"Host gave great direction to find the house and had a beautiful house in a very picturesque location. The pictures dont do the view from the house justice. We enjoyed the hottub after a long day of driving and hiking. The Adirondack chairs on the side of the hill were perfect to sit and watch the sunset. Bed in the master was very comfortable and the house was well appointed with all you need for a stay. I would definitely recommend a stay if you are ever in the area!"
