The location was quiet with the walkway along the lake good for our morning walk. Private snd plenty of room for our group of 12. Would highly recommend 👌"

"When we arrived the lights were left on and the door was unlocked. Which wasn't quite what we expected. However the property was clean and tidy and ready for guests. We discovered you can accidentally turn off the water pump as switches are unlabelled above the stove. We used the word burner fire both nights. However noticed the dampener and grate controls are all broken so the wood burns super quick...the door is difficult to close and once hot, distorts and no longer closes. Plenty of wood in...

"Have holidayed in Hatepe for forty years so have rented many properties. Enjoyed the lake side position, the open fire and comfortable furnishings. There was only one extra blanket for the beds for my grandchildren who had come to NZ from 30 + degrees . Thanks owners for letting your property. I nursed with Di North in PN Hospital many years ago when we trained and Dr North was Med Superintendent? ( or have wrong family)??"

"Wow the view was amazing. One of the best views in Taupo. The house was spacious and mostly pretty comfortable. Bathrooms and kitchen need a refresh but kitchen was well stocked for a large family group. Plenty of parking for 4 cars. Fabulous outdoor area with lots of seating and comfirtable lounge area. We had a wonderful time. Thankyou."

"With this house you get an awful lot of dampness along side all the wonders of a beautiful bush setting, and fantastic morning bird song. There are dehumidifiers downstairs that barely take the edge off the appalling damp, moldy smell down where the lower bedrooms are. Even the upstairs bedroom was more musty than I would expect for a quality bach. When we arrived the hot water hadnt been turned on, and its really hard to get someone from Bachcare to answer the phone, so it took a while to get...

"Beautifully presented apartment, plent of space, and in a nice, private environment. It's not a long drive to Taupo town, so we could do things during the day and retreat away from the crowds in the evening. Lovely to have a spa at the ready, too! Enjoyed staying here, and would do so again."

"Had a couple of nights here and really enjoyed the relaxing, rustic atmosphere. Fireplace was a lovely addition and kept the place feeling cosy all weekend. Was a bit tricky finding the house in the dark, but as long as you know it's behind the front house, then it's no issue at all. Definitely keen to come stay here again."
