Mid island

Great location, can view whales and turtles from lanai, close to Maleala harbor. No beach, water murky, so you’ll need to have your own vehicle to explore all Maui has to offer.

Beautiful

This condo was so perfect for me to be closer to my co-workers while we are in Lahaina helping with disaster relief. The condo was so great, I was able to secure for the next month. The views from the condo are stunning, you have the beach with the turtles at night playing around, the crashing waves that just set you in relax mode. Then you have the home feel if you just want to sit and relax, but not be outside. This place and the complex was beyond anything that I could have ever imagined. Its right on the marina, so when you take a tour its right down the road, which is really nice after that long day out on the water. I would recommend here to anyone who would ask me where to stay on Maui.

Beautiful view

If we come back to Maui we want to stay in this condo. The view from the patio is amazing. Though we haven’t met the owners face to face, from our communications they are obviously wonderful people. They take pride in their condo and it shows. The condo is very well furnished and well maintained. It’s location allows for easy access to the entire island…The location is very peaceful with the rhythmic lapping of the waves against the shore. My wife and I came here with friends to celebrate our 50th anniversary…We all had a wonderful time.

Last minute booking in a nice area

We added on some days to the end of our trip and booked this property for 3 nights somewhat last minute. It’s in a nice area, mostly quiet, but does get some airplane taking off and landing noise. The condo doesn’t have direct beach access but it’s a short walk away. The pool area was very nice. The owners were very communicative about dos and do nots and property rules. This is a good area for a home base on Maui. Condo was larger than many, which was nice and there were tons of supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms to use. Also had a full size washer and dryer which is always appreciated. Lastly, the sound of the waves crashing on the shore outside the windows was amazing. You could hear them even with the AC running and windows closed. We miss Maui already!

Maui stay

It was very easy to find by the owners directions. A kurig or similar coffee machine would be a good investment. We didnt k ow there were boogie boards under the bed until we were leaving. (We rented them while there). It was a great place for us and i would recommend it to any family that wNts to visit Maui.

Like having your own private beach

The property is exactly as described (interior isn’t glamorous, but very comfortable beds and couch). The pool was warm and the outdoor shower was convenient after a long day at the beach. The best part of this property is that it’s next to a beautiful beach with basically nobody else there- so, you have your own private beach (soft sand, very small waves, perfect for kids- a few rocks to explore for little kids). For the price, this is an excellent Hawaiian rental!!

Best views and on the beach

The unit had everything we needed. It is On the beach with a lanai that we spent so much time on. View was perfect. Secluded area had to drive a bit for restaurants and food trucks but nice and quiet. Amenities were as listed. Very happy.

Taken back to Golden Girls

Condo was more dated then expected. Stained carpet, dead bugs on window seal and corners of a couple rooms. Kitchen has no cupboards available for purchased food. Closets are not well organized and not much space for hanging clothes in guest bedroom. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Pool was nice, beach access okay.

magnificent views; reasonably close to amenities

The view from the condominium was breathtaking and the building is immediately adjacent to the ocean. The unit was very clean, comfortable, and well supplied. Groceries and restaurants are within an easy 30-minute drive. Beach access is via a state beach park that is a two-minute walk from the building and has a fresh-water shower for public use. There is good snorkeling from this beach, where we saw a bunch of turtles near a rock jetty, but it was sad to see so much dead coral, which is a global problem. Many other sites along Maui have healthy live coral. We had very minor problems with plumbing in the showers, which were attended to immediately, and, on the day we left, plumbers were installing permanent fixes, so the next guests will not have these problems. The air conditioners worked well and were much appreciated. We would rent this unit again.

Great views!

This condo was great for our very active family. We slept, got up and had breakfast and then packed lunches for our full day adventures until it was time to get back and start all over again. Communication was great prior to arrival and getting into the condo was very easy. I’m a stickler for cleanliness and this condo was very clean! The A/C broke before we got there but the bedrooms each had a working window unit, thankfully as it was quite hot without them running. The kitchen was very well equipped and the washer and dryer made it very easy to keep up with our swim suits and dusty hiking clothes. The ocean is literally right outside your window. We could hear the waves crashing even with the windows closed and the A/C window unit running! There is no beach though, but one morning had some waves good enough for surfing. It also looks out at Haleakala which was nice. If you’re looking for lots of activity, this town is not for you. This is a very quiet part of the island and not as quant. We loved Lahaina and went there several times but it was too crowded and busy for it to be a place for us to consider staying. It was an easy drive with gorgeous views along the way. We also hiked Haleakala and did the Road to Hana and this location was nice as it was closer than it would’ve been from Lahaina or Turtle Town. Just a few things to consider as you decide where you’d like to stay.

Beautiful oceanfront condo with all the amenities of home!

We had the most amazing time at Kanai a Nalu condo #201. The Ma’alaea Bay was peaceful and centrally located for all the excursions that we did while on Maui. We could sit on the balcony/ lanai and watch the ocean - frequently spotting Green Sea Turtles poking their heads up through the surf. We were able to explore the entire island with our furthest drive being just over 1 hour. We rented a car for this trip & we’re so glad we did. Parking at the condo was extremely convenient and there was no extra charge. The condo is extremely well-stocked and having the washer and dryer available was a Godsend. This condo was like being at home while on vacation. We communicated with the owners a couple times over our time there, they were quick to reply, kind and gave us a great deal of information about the area to make our trip go smoothly. We also accidentally left my daughter’s favorite stuffed animal and they were so kind to arrange getting it back to us. In close proximity there is a park at the end of Hauoli St. there is a little beach park, there are a couple restaurants, the Maui Ocean Center & Ma’alaea Harber where many of the boats leave from for snorkeling adventures. We would highly recommend this property.

Exactly what we envisioned for our family vacation!

Our experience was great right from the start. The owner was very communicative and responsive. She gave us plenty of information about not only the property itself but the area as well. The location couldn’t be better! We were looking for a smaller more private beach and that’s exactly what we got! The condo itself fit us perfectly. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Watching the sun rise from the lanai was breathtaking. Thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Excellent condo, all you can need and want.

We had an awesome time staying in this condo. It had everything, and them some, you would want. It was perfectly situated to explore west, central and east Maui. Plus we got to see whales from the balcony both morning and night. I highly recommend this property and if we visit Maui again it will definitely be yhe place to stay.

AMAZING-RELAXING-10 STARS+

Michelle and Dave are amazing to work with! We thank them so much! The view from the condo is breath taking. You can’t beat the positioning and I think it’s the best view on the island! You are right there on a beach which is not crowded at all, watching turtles play in the water, etc. The condo itself - the bed is so comfortable we almost never wanted to get up! They provide so many ammentities that you hardly need anything. It was very clean, comfortable and felt like a home away from home. We stopped and purchased food on our way and we didn’t need anything additional. The on-site manager is so friendly and helpful! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here if your needing a gettaway. We will definitely be staying here again in the future! Thank you Dave and Michelle for adding this beautiful condo to our amazing stay in Maui! -Troy and Tiffany

The place to stay in Maui

You can stop looking for a place to stay in Maui. This is the best one, particularly for families with kids or couples looking for a romantic getaway. The hosts are absolutely fantastic. Genuinely dedicated to your satisfaction and comfort. Very communicative and understanding. This is more than an investment to them — they genuinely love Maui and it shows. The location makes it very easy to split up the family. If one kid wants the beach, another one wants to take a nap, one parent wants to keep an eye on them while the other gets food, it's very easy to do given how close it is to the beach and to various amenities. The beach itself has fairly gentle waves for families to enjoy, large patches of sand, but very few crowds. That combination doesn't seem to exist anywhere else on this island. For maybe a couple of hours a day the beach right in front might be covered due to high tide, but then you can just walk 50 ft east (left) and you'll find a similar beach there with more space. There's a couple miles of beach there actually if your want to stroll or judt get away from absolutely everyone. Within the complex as well this unit is well placed, near a staircase but of the ground floor which feels a little more secure and probably cuts down on critter visits. The condo is well stocked with pretty much everything you need. The hosts graciously accommodated some small special requests due to our unusual arrival time. Nice touches as well like the bath robes (handy when waiting for the shower after a beach outing). They don't have beach floaties or snorkel gear (they say due to insurance reasons) but you can get that stuff at Costco, ABC, etc not that far away. BBQs and pool were great. Also there's no hot tub, but given how gentle the surf is we didn't really care — you can just sit in the waves and relax. Look for the sandy area directly in front of the 04 units. It was a lot of non-refundable money to commit, but it paid off. The family loved it (even the picky ones) and they're already expecting to go back next year!

Right on the water!

This well-stocked condo is right on the water. We spend so much time just sitting on the balcony and watching the waves, surfers and canoes. The grounds are very nice with a beautiful pool. Another perc is the central location on Maui. Also the Maalaea Harbor, Maui Ocean Center and restaurants are within walking distance.

Best ocean view ever!

We absolutely loved our stay! This was our first time in this part of Maui and from now on we will only return to this area. It was close to everything. The condo was nice and the view was unbeatable. The beach in front of the condo was perfect. We tried some other beaches but always ended up returning to the spot right in front of the condo. The water was perfect for my young girls. Saw lots of turtles everyday swimming in the water with us. Walked along the beach every morning which was so relaxing. Can’t wait to come back!
