  • Thank you for looking at our listing! Our ground floor condo has 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms including 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed, 1 Queen sofa sleeper, 2 Twin rollaways Sleeps 8. It is DIRECT OCEANFRONT & BEACHFRONT with Amazing views!!! Private ocean view patio! This unit is immaculate and pride of ownership is evident throughout. Maalaea village is a gem with its central location and its fantastic trade winds. They provide a cooling breeze that keeps the temperatures just right.

    Beautifully landscaped grounds with a pool and BBQ. Any stress you have will melt away. Slip into the pool and enjoy the ocean view while you relax in the Maui sun.

    Perfect central location to go explore the island! Or take a day to just relax to catch a glimps of green sea turtles rolling in the surf or bobbing up for air, even sunning themselves on the beach. In the winter months (Nov-April) you will have a front row seat to breaching whales as they come back to the islands to give birth, nurse, and play with their young!

    At the end of our cul-de-sac is Sugar Beach, 2-3 minute walk from the unit. Sugar Beach has the longest stretch of sandy beach on Maui. 5 miles of secluded sand to walk, run and beachcomb. Sugar Beach is very secluded and hardly ever has crowds. Sugar beach is protected from the road by the bird-filled-ponds of Kealia Wildlife Refuge. It is so amazing to walk this beach and literally feel like you have it all to yourself!

    A 5 minute walk in the opposite direction takes you to Maalaea Harbor where you will find a small grocery store, gym, deli, restaurants, and the Maui Ocean Center (Maui’s #1 tourist attraction), the Pacific Whale Foundation, miniature golf, shopping and most of the ocean activities available on Maui (whale watching, sunset dinner cruises, deep sea fishing & snorkeling tours). Centrally located Maalaea, makes getting anywhere on the island easy. Approximately 15 minutes from the airport, a 5 minute drive south and you are in Kihei and a bit further, the resorts of Wailea. 20 minutes to the West is Lahaina. You couldn’t be in a better location to explore all Maui has to offer!

Loved it!

This was a great location! We loved being right on the beach and it was central to most things to do on the island. Great communication with hosts and everything went smoothly!! Would stay here again!

The place was easy to find, in a great location, with everything we needed and more. Very comfortable and spacious, beautiful place. The owners were very kind and had an amazing, easy to follow, check in and check out list.

Close to pool and beach

Really enjoyed our family stay. The host provided a lot of essentials to make our stay comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed the short walk to the pool and beach. We loved grilling outside. Would stay here again. Thank you for making our vacation memorable.

Great spot for the family

First time to maui, the process was easy, the location was centralized away from crowds so great for the kids. Overall we all enjoyed it and will return.

Lovely Location

This property is a wonderful sanctuary right in central Maui. Lots of elder folks here, not the best fit for small / young families (elderly locals not too keen on the little ones) but the apartment / location is amazing and the folks running the VRBO were AMAZING

Awesome location

Beautiful beach only steps away. The marina is within walking distance as well as the harbor shops, aquarium, and restaurants. The place was very clean, very spacious. There were 8 of us, and were very comfortable. Really recommend waking up early for a walk on the beach or down to the harbor. The sunrise is stunning.

loved maui

Loved our visit to maui. Great amenities, location was nice and central to everything. Freezer seal was broken, had to make sure it was in place each time we opened freezer. Was disappointed to find out there was a fee after 6 people which was not disclosed in listing. (listing said 8 people) Host did make this right. While one bathroom needs some updating it is a great location and worth the stay. Thank you again to our host.

A little known piece of paradise

This condo, and its location, was perfect. The grounds and the swimming pool were meticulously attended to everyday. The state park and beach are a short walk and provides great snorkeling, swimming and an opportunity to observe & swim with sea turtles. Nearby Maalaea Harbor has an aquarium, shopping, and three excellent restaurants. It is where you arrange whale watching, snorkeling and sunset cruises. The kitchen was recently remodeled with beautiful countertops and a large washer and dryer. The furniture was very comfortable and the dining area had a large table for eating or game playing. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels on Maui and would chose to return to Kanaii A Nalu.

Great location

The property was in a good location on the beach with great views and centrally located. The unit is comfortable and spacious for a 2 bedroom place. While everything was clean, overall the carpet and furniture were just very worn with multiple stains on the carpet and sofa. It definitely isn't "immaculate" as the description would suggest but it was perfectly fine for what it was and as a reasonable price point. It was nice having beach towels and chairs which was very convenient. The hosts were very communicative and kind - we appreciated their flexiblity and compassion.

Nice and quiet! Away from tourists.

We liked the feel of being away from all the tourists. We enjoyed the quiet private type feel. There were some roaches as soon as we checked in the house! We. let the owners know right away. He said they had just had the place sprayed and would contact the building manager. My husband went and bought bug spray and he sprayed the whole area i around the condo. We didn’t see anymore during our stay. Very close to the beach and beautiful views!

Great place for family!

The pictures and description of this condo are accurate. We could get to the sandy beach with the kids and the pool was lovely (though not heated if you are there during cooler weather). The beds were comfy, even the hide a bed. This is a place to relax and put your feet up between excursions or walks on the beach. The extras for beach time were great for the kids. The only improvements would be to add some chairs (four only around the table) for a family meal (even if just four stack/folding chairs) and to check the pots/pans/teapot before using as sometimes prior guests really do not clean them well. Loved the host and hostess quick response to our questions, even bringing us a new coffeemaker the first day! Had a great stay. Would choose them again!

Excellent property

Very functional and clean unit. It was nice to be located in an area that made for quick sight seeing of different areas of the island. It was a short drive to kihei, Lahaina, Paia, and Wailea. We never walked to the harbor but it was less than a mile with a few restaurants and some cute shops. The hosts were very pleasant to communicate with and checked in with us upon arrival and during the stay as well. The unit also had a pack n play which I didn’t see on the listing so it made for even easier sleeping arrangements than we had expected for our kids. The pool was very clean and never crowded. The beach access was down a couple properties but great for digging in the sand or dipping feet in the waves. The whales were visible from the courtyard. So cool! Parking was always very easy. Having access to the beach towels and chairs right at the unit as well as some shared kids beach toys available near the pool made for a very family friendly visit. We would happily stay again. It was a great place, especially for the price!
