Relaxed and ideal
Superb hosts and lovely facilities. We felt like family right from the start and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Definitely would recommend as it was so relaxed and ideal!

Great getaway
We loved the convenience to the beach and nearby shops. Peter and Karen were very friendly and helpful. Next time we will stay for longer.

5 star accommodation
We were greeted by Peter and Karen the lovely hosts, the apartment was amazing you didn't need for anything. We had a great winter escape there super warm and cosy. Really close to beach and great places to eat 😊

Last minute break
We booked a last minute wintery weekend escape to Waihi Beach to explore the area and enjoy some downtime after a hectic few months. Peter and Karen were great hosts from the get go, helping us to familiarise ourselves with the accommodation and then gauging what we might like in the area. A couple of great restaurant recommendations later and we were off to the amazing Falls Retreat for an incredible pasture to plate experience. Without Peter and Karen we would never have stumbled on this gem. And that’s one of several great recommendations they gave us. To top it all off Peter drove us to another restaurant and picked us up when we were finished! Waihi Beach Paradise Resort was a great location to base ourselves as we explored the area and all it has to offer. From the nice little breakfast box to the very welcome spa at the end of the day it was exactly what we were after.

Simply wonderful !
Amazing location and hosts, lovely and quiet accommodation. Peter and Karen were soo lovely and couldn't have been more kind, nothing was too much trouble and made our trip amazing, shame we couldn't stay longer. See you again soon :)

Awesome apartment!
After a warm welcome and plenty of local knowledge from Peter & Karen we quickly settled in. The apartment is well set up, the kitchen full of utensils and pans, and a lovely hot spa right outside! The morning sunrise is just a few steps over the dunes, Waihi is such a beautiful location, great to use the apartment as home base. Will definitely be returning soon! Many thanks Gaby and Mack.

Great place
A great place to stay in a beautiful location. Really helpful and friendly owners. Would definitely recommend staying here. The pool and spa was a great added bonus. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation. You won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful Sojourn at Waihi Beach Paradise Resort
Our week-long stay in this spotlessly maintained, well-equipped, very comfortable apartment was simply way too short. The owners, Peter and Karen, have created a gem of a vacation spot for beach lovers, hikers, and cyclists. The apartment is quite new and everything is in excellent condition. There was fine linen on the beds, overstuffed and very comfortable lounge furniture, padded bar stools for that quick morning breakfast, and every cooking utensil we needed. In addition to the wonderful indoor living, the outdoor amenities exceeded all of our expectations. There's a large solar-heated salt water pool complete with private hot tub, a gas BBQ grill in mint condition, a table and umbrella for al fresco dining, and an under-cover front seating area for listening to the evening waves on the beach just across the street. Off-street parking directly in front of the apartment made for an easy move-in and move-out. Very nice bicycles were included for my husband's use whenever he wanted to go for a ride. We weren't ready to leave this beautiful spot and we would certainly love to return for another visit.

Amazing place, amazing owners!
We felt so lucky that the owners of this beautiful property had a last minute cancellation so that we were able to stay here. The accommodations were outstanding, along with the location. The owners had incredible attention to detail with this property and were some of the nicest people we've had to privilege to meet since arriving in New Zealand. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen well stocked with any items needed to prepare a meal at home. The owners even had a welcome tray with strawberries, cheese and crackers in the fridge upon our arrival. We hope in our lifetimes we are able to come back again!
