There were bed bugs and roaches in the house. We saw multiple roaches daily. A couple guests were bitten by bed bugs. We found and killed one bedbug in the master bedroom. We also found bedbug feces in the house. The pictures and property description make the house sound larger than it is. The living spaces are small. Guest bedrooms are small and don't have dressers to store clothes. The home is over hyped and over priced.

The community pool was 1 minute walking distance. Enjoyed the jacuzzi one evening, the teens in our group spend more time at the pool. What was really nice, was having so many pairs of crocs avaliable, and 6 lounge chairs for the beach, there is also snorkeling gear available, yet we used ours. Is 6 minutes drive from the beach, and Pokay bay is really nice and calm, we snorkeled with sea turtles everyday. Great location if you're looking for mountains, rainbows and beach.

Although the property is off the beaten path and about an hour and a half away from Waikiki, it was a wonderful home that was able to accommodate our large family of 12. We rented 3 vehicles, so traveling around the island was no problem for us at all. The home was clean, well decorated, fully stocked with towels, blankets, and we appreciated being able to use the beach chairs & boogy boards during our outings.Our VRBO hosts were very transparent and professional and I had no problems of getting a hold of them if I had any questions or concerns. Our family enjoyed taking morning walks around the neighborhood just to take in the scenery of the beautiful mountains views and the sounds of nature around us.The pool and spa were was also a fun and relaxing activity.The community is gated and very safe. The guards were very nice and treated us like OHANA.We also enjoyed having breakfast or lunch at the

Great house away from the hustle and bustle

The home was well cared for and tucked into a gated community in the foothills of a beautiful mountain range, close to an affordable country club for golf! Great in home amenities, well stocked for beach trip! Location beyond the gated community appears to have a homelessness challenge, but did not feel unsafe. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Family Trip In February

We had a full house with my dad, my two grown boys, their wife and GF, and granddaughter, and it was perfect. We played games at the large table, had a quiet space for reading that was away from the TV, and enough bathrooms for the 7 of us. The floaties, life jacket, chairs, and boogie boards were perfect and traveled with us daily. The best part though, was getting up in the morning for a cup of coffee, going out back, and listening to the bird songs while looking at the mountains. Something you won't be getting at a resort. It was so peaceful. We did spend time at the beach down the road, and it was really nice, but being winter, the waves were a bit much for us. One of the days was fine, and I'm guessing in summer months it's great. Just check out Safebeachday.com to see wave safety on all Oahu beaches for the day. Driving around was easy, and we hit beaches on all sides of the island. Would definitely stay again. We are from towns in the US, starting in North Seattle to Eugene Oregon, and never felt that the homeless population, that you hear a lot about, was an issue. People were friendly. We had no troubles.

Peaceful stay in Paradise

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, well-stocked property and would love to come back again. The property is a fair drive up the hill from the beaches and took us a bit to find, but once we arrived, it had everything we needed for comfort and more! Clean, spacious property, with all the comforts of home, with relatively close access to groceries and dining. The beach just down the road (Makaha Beach) was the perfect spot for our little ones to enjoy playing in the waves and snorkeling, with a lifeguard keeping close watch for safety, and the home already had all the fun beach toys we needed. Thanks for hosting us and we look forward to coming back soon!

Far exceeded expectations!

The 14 of us stayed in this amazing 4 bedroom house. I will begin by mentioning the least favorite part of the rental. The house is technically in Waianae which is not a great area of the island. A 35 min - hour from most anything (but we knew that and REALLY enjoyed being away from the city). Lots of homeless and quite a poor community. BUT having said that keep reading…you will be pleasantly surprised. Though the house is technically in the town of Waianae, it actually is located outside of the city. It’s in more of country neighborhood setting. It’s a gated community with an security guard at the entrance. The community is a bit confusing but the host gave very specific directions to the house. We were warmly welcomed! Even a super cute sign that had our name on it with a welcome message. Little touches go a long way in our opinion! We had actual use of the garage and lots of little things most hosts do not think about…a booster seat and a wagon to haul all your beach stuff in. The kitchen was stocked with lots of seasonings and things you hate to buy because you won’t use everything but you do actually need…ie baggies and trash bags…soap (kitchen and bathroom), even additional new toothbrushes!! The ac was outstanding and the neighborhood was quiet. The “quiet” hours were extremely reasonable as well as the check out instructions. Fave: the beds and pillows! Totally dreamy! And the home is well cared for. All in all we will def be returning!!

Family Reunion

There were eight of us. The house was immaculate nestled in the mountains. The neighbors were friendly. Every detail of this property was well thought out with guests satisfaction being priority. We were able to ENJOY ourselves without feeling crowded. I must emphasize how immaculate the house is, even the garage!! We would 100%without hesitation recommend this property.

Better than the photos!

I recently booked this home to host a 4 day fitness retreat and it was PERFECT. All 6 of us slept super comfortably each night. There was plenty of room for us each to feel like we had enough space, and not be on top of each other the whole trip. The kitchen was so spacious and stocked with everything we needed to cook breakfasts and dinners each night, and the fenced in yard served as a perfect space to hit morning yoga, And the views were INCREDIBLE. This house sits in the most beautiful, green mountain...it really was spectacular. I woke up each morning to work from my laptop and have coffee outside. Perfection. Located just about a mile from some really awesome beaches that it seemed like only the locals knew about, which made for a really cool experience. The property was also super clean and well taken care of. We had no problem using any of the appliances, including washer and dryer, and loved how stocked full of extra sheets and towels it was. Community is gated and feels super safe. Host was SUPER responsive when I needed him, and made us all feel right at home. I've done a lot of traveling, and this space is definitely on my top 3 stays. 10/10 recommend. We will be back next year for sure.
