Exceeded Expectations

Such a wonderful family break in Rocksalt. We thought it was going to be lovely but we were taken back by just how beautiful the views were. Everything we needed was provided. We would certainly return and also would highly recommend to anyone. A truly beautiful holiday home.

Barthek!

Barthek means wonderful in Cornish. I stay in rental properties often, usually arranging week-long vacations with family and friends. RockSalt is among the very best. Plenty of space, iconic view of the Cornish countryside, equipped with everything (and it all worked easily.) We had no hassles and the owner answered our questions quickly and throughly, obviously wanting us to have a wonderful time in a wonderful area of Cornwall.

Great property.

We loved our stay at the property. It is a good size, is well decorated, great lay out and high quality furnishing. The location worked for us, close to Polzeath, Rock and Wadebridge, yet out of the way enough to be away from the crowds. Initially we wondered whether being on a site of holiday homes would be a problem, but it was quiet and all the other holiday makers were respectful. There is a good set up. The house itself is a really good size and it is the little things that make a difference; three large comfy sofas; neff appliances; big comfy beds; powerful showers; plenty of plates and cutlery; outside shower to clean beach gear. There is also a utility room to put beach towels, swimwear etc. The outside space is good. The table could be a little bigger, but we only used a couple of times. The field at the back which is advertised as a space the kids can play is currently uncut, but makes for a nice view of wild flowers and long grass. If I could add one small thing: a downstairs separate toilet, but that would be being picky on an overall excellent 10 star property. Would defo stay again if in the area.

Fabulous property

We have been visiting Cornwall for many years, staying close to Rock and padstow, Rocksalt has been by far our favourite stay. The location is great, just a stones throw from Rock where there’s a quick boat trip across to padstow or a quick drive to Polzeath. The property was immaculately clean and tidy, lots of space for our family, plenty of outdoor space to relax and for the kids to play. Communication with Ros was great, a quick note to make sure we were happy with everything was appreciated. Overall a great stay at a lovely property, hope to be back soon.

Lovely house

Well equipped and spacious property. We were blessed with lovely weather during our stay and so the location of less than 10 minutes from the beach was perfect. Good communication with owner and caretaker. Would return for another stay.

Three generation visit to Cornwall

We had plenty of space for our family of seven and thoroughly enjoyed the view from this well thought out retreat with comfortable seating for all. The children enjoyed the yard toys left for them and the adults enjoyed having a well stocked kitchen to enjoy some meals in. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. Great location for visiting Polzeath beach and Tintagel Castle. Don’t forget to sample the Cornwall Pastis!

The house was lovely & really well equipped . We particularly liked the living room . It is suitable for all ages with a small garden . Contact with the owner was easy & he even sent me a text from New Zealand to say we could get in the house early ! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would not hesitate to go back .

Clean & comfortable in great location

We had a lovely stay at Rocksalt. The accommodation is spacious , very clean & comfortable and in a great location for visiting this part of north Cornwall . Kitchen is very well equipped for self catering with lots of pots/ pans and good supply of crockery & glasses. Great appliances too! Communication with owner was excellent, who was very helpful & accomodating. Will definitely visit again and would recommend to family & friends.

Wonderful location

Great House, Great Location

This is a fantastic house for our family of 6. Great sized bedrooms, good sized living room and great south facing back garden. The house is in a perfect position to get to Rock within 5 mins drive and Port Isaac in 15 mins. Would highly recommend!!

Great stay in Cornwall

Lovely house, well maintained and well equipped, with plenty of space for our family of five. Nice garden, comfy beds and good showers. Also an outside shower to wash away sand from the beach. We really appreciated the evening breeze after the warm daytimes. Only thing to mention is that the bedroom blinds are not blackout (venetian) so bring an eye mask if you like it very dark to sleep. Good location, nowhere reachable on foot but many places just a short drive away. Would love to return some time.

Spacious family holiday home

Clean, well furnished, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so great for extended family. Lovely quiet location with views over the Camel Valley. Close to Rock and Wadebridge but a car is necessary as the roads are not great for walking or cycling. Well equipped and spacious kitchen, which was great for sharing the cooking, BBQ for the dry days! Comfy beds, lots of sofas, exactly what we were looking for.

Amazing short break

This amazing property was perfect in every way for our first family break for over two years. Ros was the ideal host, keeping us fully informed from the point of booking and all through our stay, with an extra nice bottle wine surprise waiting upon our arrival. The property has been built and furnished to very standards, which is also matched with the cleanliness. The locations is idyllic, with incredible views (especially for those early morning coffee’s), and also as a launch point for visiting all those fabulous places within Cornwall. Can’t recommend this property enough, excellent value for money.
