Full family trip
We stayed here for 2 weeks with all of our children and 2 grand kids we had a blast property is just mesmerizing. We visited several cities which we were centrally located to. We made meals at the house that were just awesome and fun to do. Brick oven was a highlight. Valerio made us feel welcome and like family. Made many improvements over this last off season. The new pool and landscaping are beautiful. We look forward to returning. Thank you Valerio

Wunderschöner Urlaub in ruhiger Lage und Haus mit exzellenten Gastgebern
Wir sind mit befreundeten Paaren verreist, die ebenfalls Kinder haben. Das Haus ist perfekt eingeteilt mit 3 riesigen Appartments. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist groß und sehr schön, super ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Die Villa ist super in Schuss und die Räumlichkeiten sehr sauber. Das Pool wird jeden Abend vom Vermieter gereinigt und die Gartenanlage regelmäßig gemäht. Bei Fragen stehen die Vermieter jederzeit zur Verfügung, halten sich aber während des Aufenthalts sehr im Hintergrund, sodass wir uns nie gestört oder beobachtet gefühlt haben. Wir haben das Frühstück dazu genommen, was liebevoll von den Gastgebern hergerichtet war und auf einer der Terrassen serviert / als Buffet angerichtet war. Wir sind mehr als zufrieden gewesen und würden auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!

A beautiful villa
This is a lovely house in a beautiful setting. Our family, ranging in age from 6 to 73, had a blast cooking, swimming, hiking, exploring, and chilling on the veranda. Valerio and Paola are not only perfect hosts (and chefs), but affable, easy going and fun. Our two weeks here were unforgettable. Thank you for everything!

Tuscan Country Perfection!!
If you want the perfect Tuscan Country stay, stop searching and book this property. The spectacular villa, pool and grounds guarantee a wonderful stay but the amazing hosts, Valerio and Paola, are what makes it an unforgettable experience. They are genuinely kind and sincere people who treated us like family. Valerio was responsive to all of my questions and always had a solution. His massage was compared to the best our friend has had at top end spas around the world. We ate four dinners at the Villa and Paola's cooking was beyond compare. Simple, local, rustic dishes made with the freshest ingredients and served with a smile. Our son is a prospective Chef and Paola welcomed him into her kitchen and shared local knowledge and techniques without reservation. we made incredible Tuscan pizza in the wood fired oven. The property is so peaceful and serene and the sunsets are to die for. Relaxing by the pool or cooling off after a long day touring Tuscany were perfect compliments. I could go on and on. We have stayed at dozens of rental properties around the world. Villa Le Ginepraie stands out as the best we have ever visited. Salute Valerio and Paola - we most definitely hope to visit you again soon!

Great Place to Stay in Tuscany
We had a great week at the villa. First, the view is incredible. It feels so private and the view from the back porch of the hills is breathtaking. The location is very central between Volterra and San Gimignano. We also booked at the restaurant a few nights and Paula’s cooking was great! Overall a great stay that I would recommend to anyone.

Tolles Haus - in wunderbarer Landschaft!
Wir haben eine Woche in diesem wunderbaren Haus verbracht – zwei Familien, 4 Erwachsene und 4 Teenager – es war für uns die ideale Unterkunft. Weit weg vom Trubel inmitten der wunderschönen, bereits herbstlichen, Landschaft. Obwohl Mitte Oktober, wurden wir mit angenehmen Temperaturen verwöhnt. Wir konnten noch jeden Abend draussen essen. Den Pool haben die Kids tagsüber kurz genutzt, dafür war es aber doch schon etwas zu kühl. Die Ausstattung im Haus (in den 3 Wohnungen) ist prima, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der Kontakt mit Paola und Valerio war sehr angenehm. Sie waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit und es hat alles bestens geklappt – wir kommen gerne wieder!

A wonderful place!
This villa was everything we expected. The location was is perfect. There are several different trails in the area, perfect for both hiking and running. The villa itself is clean, cosy and there is lots of space. We all loved the pool area so much! Paula and Valerio are excellent hosts in every way. They made us a lovely dinner and breakfast. A month in Tuscany
Absolutely wonderful in so many ways. Our stay at the Villa included both family and friends coming and going for the entire month. We wanted a gathering place in Tuscany and Le Ginepraie was everything we had hoped for and more. Valerio, Paola and Viola are the best! From amazing dinners by Paola, massage by Valerio, quiet talks with Viola, walking the trails, and visiting nearby towns memories were created here, so grateful for all that we saw and experienced during our stay there. Fantastic two week stay
We’ve had a truly marvellous holiday In the most amazing villa for a period of two weeks. Having rented a lot of holiday homes over the last couple of years, we can truly say this was by far the best experience we’ve had so far. Placed in the lush and quiet Tuscan hills, it offers tranquility and peace while the towns of San Gimignano and Volterra are only a brief drive away. Although the weather was hot with most days above 33-35 degrees, a slight and constant breeze made it more than tolerable to hang around the villa on the warmest moments. The pool is amazing, as well as the many unique amenities (like the Pizza oven) the villa has to offer. Valerio and Paola are gracious and non-intrusive hosts that live in a house further down the road. They were most helpful many ways, both making recommendations and cooking delicious meals for us upon request. Hygiene is superb and everything on the recently renovated villa has somehow been thought through. We will definitely return to this location again.

Amazing villa in heart of Tuscany
What an amazing experience staying at the villa. The hosts were so helpful and available whenever needed and yet you never saw them unless called upon (they stay in the cottage just down the road.). The villa has all the key needs for a house. Full kitchen, furniture that looks rustic yet feels like new. Perfect location between volterra and San gimignano . Would recommend highly

A slice of Tuscan Heaven
A lovely comfortable house with plenty of space for our family group of 10 across the 5 bedrooms. The outside table and relaxing loungers were perfect for socialising and sharing meals together and offered shade and amazing views . The pool area is also excellent with a beautiful salt water swimming pool, loungers and umbrellas offering welcome shade . Paola and Valerio were excellent hosts , always available but never intrusive. We would strongly recommend taking up the offer of meals by the hosts .They were really delicious , extremely convenient and we all enjoyed them very much.

This is a wonderful Villa!
We heartily recommend Villa Le Ginepraie for a Tuscan holiday after a wonderful two-week stay. The villa is very large and arranged to comfortably accommodate the three generations of our family, including four grandchildren ranging in age from 13 years to 20 months. Separate sections of the villa allowed for privacy when desired and also gatherings in common areas. The deck at the back of the villa provides a beautiful western view of the Tuscan countryside with several wonderful sunsets during our stay. The pool provided a refreshing break in the hot late afternoons. The hosts, Valerio, Paola, and Viola, are delightful and incredibly helpful. Valerio made numerous calls to help us recover two pieces of lost luggage and tipped us off about Certola Alto – a charming medieval hill town with a castle, accessed by an inclined railroad. Certola Alto was not in our guidebook, and it was a wonderful diversion from some of the more heavily touristed Tuscan towns and cities. The villa is located in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, but it provides easy day trip access by car to Volterra, San Gimignano , Siena, Florence, Pisa, and Lucca. We had Paola prepare several dinners and brunches for us, and they were all wonderful with fresh pasta, delicious sauces, and fantastic baked dishes. Paola also gave a lesson in pasta making to one of our group who loves to cook. Valerio taught us how to set a fire in the stone pizza oven, which resulted in two great pizza dinners. In a short review it is not possible to say enough good things about this villa and the hosts.

Incredible villa, surroundings and hosts
We were 10 family members staying at the villa and had made a program that required a lot of input from the hosts before arrival. Valerio was incredibly responsive and made many valuable suggestions. For example, we loved the tour to nearby winery MonteRosola, and Valerio came to pick up my elderly parents so that they did not need to walk. We also loved the sunsets on the pergola, overlooking a typical Tuscan dreamy landscape. We had dinner prepared by Paola three times and it was delicious. Two of us were gluten intolerant so she made special dishes for them. It was a bit cold at night during our stay so we did not really use the swimming pool, but it was open, unlike other places in this period. The location was good for trips to Volterra, San G., Sienna, Florence and Lucca. We did not go further than that. I personally really enjoyed colle de Val d’Elsa- it’s historic centre was amazing and virtually no tourists.

Wir haben hier einen unserer besten Familienurlaube verbracht. Es gab nichts auszusetzen. Pool, Apartments, Sauberkeit - alles 1a. Valerio und Paola waren hervorragende und sehr entgegenkommende Gastgeber. Wir wären gerne noch 1-2 Monate geblieben :-) We spent one of our best family holidays here. There was nothing to complain about. Pool, flats, cleanliness - everything 1a. Valerio and Paola were excellent and very accommodating hosts. We would have liked to stay another 1-2 months :-) Nous avons passé ici l'une de nos meilleures séjour en famille. Il n'y avait pas de quoi se plaindre. Piscine, appartements, propreté - tout 1a. Valerio et Paola ont été des hôtes excellents et très accommodants. Nous aurions aimé rester un ou deux mois de plus :-) grazie per tutto

Exceptional House in an exceptional Place!
We stayed with friends one week end of August in the exceptional house of Valerio and Paola. We had a great week and would have loved to stay longer. The house is renovated and has a modern style, the interieurs and also the garden and surroundings show that the owners really care for everything and show true attention to detail. Valerio and Paola live close by, however they have a very professional attitude and create an atmosphere of absolute privacy for their guests. Only if you need support or help they are immediately available for you. From the terrace or the pool you have a splendid view on the Tuscany landscape, far away from neighbours and 6km from the next village. We experienced a truly calm and relaxing week in Tuscany and plan to come back... Thanks a lot!

Stunning property
This property is amazing, spacious, all the things you could want in the kitchens. The location of the property was central to many day trips to surrounding villages/cities. The owners are so friendly and will do anything to help make your stay enjoyable, giving great advice on places to go. The recommendation of walking tour in Volterra was a particular highlight. Each day returning to the stunning views from the properties outdoor veranda for Prosecco & nibbles. My family & I would definitely recommend this property

Extended family stay
We were a group of 9 adults and 4 children on Holiday for a week.The villa is wonderful... each bedroom has a private very modern bathroom .There is a large fully equipped kitchen on the main floor and the apartments upstairs each have small kitchens with refrigerators and dishwashers ( So morning coffee can be done right next to your bedroom) Paolo and Valerio were very welcoming and showed us how to use the pizza oven,provided a grill for one evening meal of Tuscan beef and we enjoyed very much the one dinner and brunch we had them serve for us ( we are a family that enjoys cooking and had long dinners each night on the outside covered portico) The back deck overlooks a typical Tuscan hill scene and is perfect for viewing sunsets or the swimming pool. We loved the location ....everyday we could do day trips in less than 2 hours to Florence,Sienna,Volterra,Pisa or Lucca .

Magical stay in Tuscany
The Villa is incredibly beautiful and the views from every window and porch are stunning. We went with our two sons, their wives and 3 grandchildren ages 10 to 15. It is designed perfectly to accommodate families or 5 couples. Each of the 5 bedrooms has it's own lovely bathroom and there are 3 separate kitchens in the main house and each one has it's own living room, so you are never crowded or unable to have time to yourself. The beds are all queen-sized and very comfortable and the bathrooms all have wonderful showers and new fixtures. That is just the beginning of the experience. Paolo, who is beautiful and charming, is also a world-class chef and she prepared dinner and breakfast for us each day. She would go to market each day and create amazing fresh, imaginative meals for us. It was such a luxury to explore the beautiful country-side and towns each day and then come home to a delicious meal we could all share together at the quintessential Tuscan table. They also made sure that it was all served on your schedule, not theirs. For us the unexpected joy was that Valerio would lead us in a 2 hour yoga session each morning very early on the porch. It was cool and you were surrounded by the incredible view and the rising sun. I also want to include how beautiful the salt-water swimming pool was and how much we enjoyed the easy hike in the country-side to a beautiful waterfall. As you can imagine we were so sad to leave and are already planning to return. Paolo and Valerian were beyond the perfect hosts - they always made us feel that they were entertaining treasured friends. If you were ever thinking about renting a Villa in Tuscany - do it now and make sure it is Villa le Ginepraie. P.S. we rented 2 cars in Florence and drove to the Villa without any problems and it was only a short distance to drive to all the gorgeous towns and villages in the area.

Super villa
We have always loved Tuscany but this was just the best trip we have had. The villa is beautifully situated in typical Tuscan countryside and well placed for trips to Siena, Florence and Pisa as well as the more local towns of San Gimignano and Volterra. The villa is delighfully appointed and is ideal for a family bash. We had our individual privacy but were easily able to have fun together. Paola and Valerio were stunning hosts and their cooking and general attention to our needs were first class without ever being intrusive. We just can't wait to go back!

Wij kwamen met 8 volwassenen en 3 kleine kinderen. Erg vriendelijke ontvangst. Prachtig huis met veel ruimte, waardoor iedereen voldoende privacy had. Paola heeft de eerst 2 dagen heerlijk Italiaans voor ons gekookt. Met lekkere wijn en voldoende drankjes na het eten. Prachtig zwembad, schitterende omgeving. Ideale plek voor uitstapjes in de omgeving, maar ook om tot rust te komen. Zeker een plaats om weer naar terug te gaan.

Fantastic Vacation in Tuscany
I stayed at this property in May with a group of 8 friends. It was a fantastic place to stay. The layout of the villa was perfect for our group. It had enough space for us to have privacy but also to have space to hang out together. The views are amazing and sitting on the veranda was fantastic. The location is good in that the villa can be a good start for many day trips in Tuscany. One of the things that makes this villa so perfect is the family that owns and manages it. The communication before and during the trip was clear and prompt. We had meals provided at the villa and they were very good. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere in the restaurant and Paola served us some of the best food that we have ever had. I highly recommend a stay at the villa and hope to return again some day

Un luogo unico!!
Struttura molto bella e pulita, Valerio e Paola i proprietari sono estremamente gentili. Abbiamo comodamente potuto visitare Volterra e San Gimignano che distano solo 12 km. Ogni mattina Paola ci ha viziati con le sue torte, Mia moglie ha fatto anche un massaggio e le è piaciuto molto. Torneremo sicuramente

Appena siamo arrivati ci siamo accorti di essere in un posto unico, sul campo di fronte pascolavano dei caprioli e la sera mia moglie è riuscita a vedere una volpe. La casa è molto grande e pulita con una bellissima pergola. La cena che Paola ci ha preparato è stata deliziosa. I numerosi sentieri che si possono percorrere sono molto piacevoli...da segnalare il borgo abbandonato di Castelvecchio...Molto bella anche la lezione di Yoga ed i massaggi che i proprietari propongono.Insomma tutto perfetto merita 5 stelle!!!

Posto stupendo con una vista incredibile, le camere molto grandi e pulitissime. La cucina di Paola è stata deliziosa con 5 portate sorprendenti!!!! Bellissimo il massaggio Thailandese e la lezione di yoga!!!! Purtroppo abbiamo soggiornato solo per un weekend, ma ci ritorneremo sicuramente Paola e Valerio sono stati gentilissimi

Heaven On Earth In Tuscany
Four couples stayed at this beautifully restored villa and we were all so impressed by the facilities and beautiful surrounding countryside. We enjoyed three dinners and breakfast everyday and cannot say enough about what excellent hosts Valerio and Paola are in every way. Paola is an excellent cook and while we enjoyed everything, we all agreed the rabbit dinner was our favorite. It was a perfect stay for all of us and we would readily come again. The beauty of the area and such special hosts made this a vacation none of us will ever forget.

Tout était parfait !
Nous avons passé 2 semaines complètes à la villa à 9 habitants et tout était vraiment parfait: à commencer par la localisation, entre Volterra et San Gimignano, et au milieu de ces collines qui rendaient l'endroit tellement agréable, avec les chevreuils et lièvres. L'accueil de Paola et Valerio était excellent et leur présence tout en discrétion a rendu notre séjour encore plus parfait. Et le cours de yoga de Valerio et la cuisine de Paola sont vraiment à recommander. Le four à pizzas a été bien utile également. Lovely Villa in Tuscany
Recensito ieri Lovely Villa in Tuscany Google Traduttore We were staying in Villa le Ginepraie in the end of September 2018. Our whole family, 7 adults and 4 children, enjoyed this peaceful and beautiful place with possibility to explore Tuscany around it easily. It was relaxing to spend days at the pool and on the terrace, both with amazing view over fields, or take a short drive to near by towns, Volterra or San Gimignano, for some sightseeing. We had also a pleasure to enjoy Paolas delicious meals every night. She minded all our special needs and still were able to cook really tasty local flavors for all of us. For every breakfast she baked fresh cake which our children found fantastic! Villa was lovely old farmer house and it served our four families very well. Apartments were really clean and with lot’s of space. Paola, Valerio and Viola were very friendly hosts, every time we had questions about place to get lunch, possibility to visit vineyard or even about local wild animals we got answers and even more. They really know how to make guests to enjoy their stay

Wunderschön und sehr gepflegt
Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen, sehr liebevoll gestaltet, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Vermieter sind super offen und nett, helfen in jeder Situation gerne weiter. Die Ausgangslage ist prima für Städtebesuche in San Giminagno, Siena, Pisa, Volterra. Auch eine Fahrt zum Meer, z.B. nach Cecina, ist gut möglich. Zum nächsten gut sortierten Supermarkt in Volterra sind es ca. 20 min. Fahrtzeit. Wir hatten eine tolle Woche und können das Haus auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

Fantastic house with lovely pool and very nice and complete hosting! Google Traduttore What a beautiful, large, spacious house with a wide, lovely view! It is nice quietly situated but good reachable by car. The new, big veranda is an absolute asset! The pool is large enough for our family (8 adults and 2 children), with umbrellas en beds. A great surprise was the good closeable fence around the pool, which gave peace considering the young children that were with us ;-) The hosting is great! Paola and Valerio will do anything to help and please you. They cooked for us twice, genuine Toscane meals wich was lovely which we ate at there attractive, cosy terras. We hope to come back again in a few years! Thank you very much Paola and Valerio and we wish you the best of luck and good seasons!

Ladies' Getaway under the Tuscan Sun
Villa le Ginepraie is an idyllic, quintessential Tuscan farm house set in the rolling hills near Volterra and Pignano. We were five girlfriends on a long-awaited trip to Tuscany to relax, eat delicious food and drink delicious wine. Each of us had our own room and bathroom. We used the kitchens, the fireplaces, the porch, the pool, the walking trails, everything. It could not have been a more perfect vacation. Even in the rain (it did rain a couple days of the trip), it was so peaceful and beautiful; being able to sit on the porch and watch the rain was just as relaxing as sitting by the pool overlooking the countryside. Paola and Valerio were the most gracious and accommodating hosts. Paola made us a 5-course meal - and it was HANDS DOWN the BEST meal we ate during our stay. We even went to a Michelin star rated restaurant in San Gimignano and it paled in comparison to Paola's cooking. Several of us did a daily morning run on multiple different paths and even down the gravel road towards Pignano, it was magical. We hope to make our trip annual, and absolutely back to Villa le Ginepraie! Thank you so much Paola and Valerio! We miss it already!

Cadre naturel, superbe villa et accueil : de superbes vacances !
Une très belle villa, très confortable , dans un très beau cadre à la campagne. La pergola est vite devenue notre lieu de vie préféré : pour manger, se reposer, lire, jouer, contempler et même se faire masser ; un très bel endroit où souffle un agréable petit vent d'été qui éloigne les moustiques et les grosses chaleurs. Les enfants ont bien évidemment adoré la piscine et les différents lieux de vie permettent intimité et convivialité. Les propriétaires sont adorables , toujours à l'écoute et très très sympathiques ! Les dîners réservés le soir étaient délicieux et resteront aussi de très bons moments, ainsi que le cours de cuisine de Paola . Bref, nous avons passé en famille une semaine magique, nous étions très tristes de partir et nous espérons revenir ! Un grand merci à Valerio, Paola et Viola !

A fantastic place
We spent a week in this fatastic villa and everything was perfect. The house is very large with 5 bedrooms, a loggia and a beautiful pergola with a panoramic view where we could relax in the shade. The pool is cleaned every morning and is perfect for bathing on return from our trips. The villa is close to Volterra, San Gimignano, Colle Val'd'Elsa, Siea and Florence. Paola and Valerio are fantastic hosts, we requested half board serviceand and it was a fantastic choice. The breakfasts with homemade cakes, fruit salads and orange juices, salami gave us the energy to face the day. In the evening, Paola cooked for the delicious dishes ... home made pasta, roasts, cakes and ice creams, all rigorously prepared at home. Thanks for the wonderful holiday !!! we hope to come back soon

Absolutely Fantastic! Exceeded our expectations!
We were taking our whole family to Tuscany for our 35th wedding anniversary ( total of 8 adults with one grand baby) and initially were drawn to this villa for it’s great location and size. The pictures do not do it justice...the house is amazing, spacious rooms, all bedrooms have en suite baths, three with living areas and kitchens but the real gem is the outdoor space - fantastic new covered deck with great vistas - we hung out there every night drinking wine and reviewing our days adventures! Loved the pool, clean &refreshing - make sure you leave days free just to hang at the villa! But the absolute best part of the Villa is your hosts- Valerio, Paola, and their adorable daughter Viola ( who our granddaughter loved!). Valerio is full of energy and always there to help you with anything you need. Now for the food- Paola’s cooking is wonderful, she should have her own restaurant! Everything is so fresh and her baked goods are to die for. We loved our dinners ( & breakfast everyday) We were so happy that we ate at the villa most of our stay. We can’t wait to return!!!

Exceeded Our Expectations
My wife, two daughters and niece stayed one week at the villa and could not have been more pleased! The Villa is ideally placed in a beautiful setting with views of the countryside on all sides. The grounds are well maintained and very private! Sitting by the pool in the afternoon after a day of exploring the neighboring villages was a great way to cool off and relax. The owners Valerio and Paola and their daughter Viola were such great hosts that we feel like they are old friends. Paola is a fantastic cook who prepared a 5 course meal for us one night that consisted of homemade pasta, rabbit, potatoes zucchini and homemade ice cream plus various cheese appetizers. Throw in a variety of after dinner drinks and we were all pleasantly stuffed to the gills including my 7 and 9 year olds who both liked the rabbit to our surprise. Home cooked meals are served upon request and for a fee in a separate kitchen/dining hall that is next to the villa. Literally 10 paces away! I highly recommend you at least have one meal there during your stay. Valerio and Paola were also very helpful and suggested many things for us to see and do in the area. The Villa is such a great place to stay that we decided to alternate our day trips and just hang out by the pool or go hiking. The Villa is very spacious, clean and well equipped with all the necessary kitchen utensils to cook for yourself, if you dare! The upstairs has two very large bedroom suites with private bathrooms with large walk-in showers, sitting room and their own kitchen. The downstairs has three bedrooms, a sitting room and an eat-in kitchen. All very spacious! There are two outdoor covered dining tables; one on the backside of the villa that has a wood deck and is covered with a trellis structure; and one on the front side that also serves as an exterior foyer for the main entrance, downstairs bedrooms and the stair to the second floor. The Villa could easily accommodate 5 couples without the feeling of overcrowding. I highly recommend this Villa to large groups or families looking for a place to relax and enjoy the Tuscany countryside! We can't wait to go back ! Now its just a question of who do we invite to go with us!
