The Good: Check in was simple, and the location was great. Communication with the property manager was fantastic, and all employees at Vacasa helped us (despite it being after hours) by rushing out clean items for the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen.Side Note: The False Cape State Park at the end of the road (approximately 3 miles from residence) doesn't allow dogs. The Bad: Included are ripped blankets, tv remotes with no buttons or working batteries, bugs and debris on countertops and floors, couches with rancid odors and debris on cushions, beds that were unmade with no clean sheets available, bathrooms with pee stains, dirty trash, and numerous dirty towels, and dirty dishes. Additionally, after contacting the property manager from Vacasa we were made aware that the property owners stayed at the residence prior to our arrival, and they had opted to clean the residence themselves. However, after referencing the attached photos, the residence was not cleaned, remaining dirty and uninhabitable at arrival. Our evening was spent cleaning what we could (which we would not have been able to do without our own cleaning supplies) and waiting on clean bathroom, kitchen, and bed linens to be delivered. The majority of our next day was spent waiting for the cleaning company, essentially taking up 2 days of our short trip.TLDR: Property owners left residence a mess, but the Property Manager and her team at Vacasa went out of their way to assist. Great location!

Fantastic Home away from Home!

This house had everything we were looking for! The pool was super fun for the kids. The beach was a short walk away. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the utensils and cookware needed for large family meals. The bedrooms were perfect. We saw there were games that were missing pieces in a previous review, but there were fresh unwrapped games in the supply to open and enjoy. There’s an outdoor shower to hose off after the beach and the house is so spacious we all had quiet nights in our own rooms. The living spaces were excellent too! Screened in porch, nice living room, large dining area to accommodate all, and lots of seating by the pool. LOVED this house!

Virginia Beach did not disappoint!

We truly enjoyed our stay in Virginia. The house was wonderful! Plenty of room, beautifully decorated! Great location. The pool was the best! The size was great for our big family. The fenced yard was great for our dogs. Loved the fig tree! Too bad they weren’t ripe yet! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Minor comments

We were very happy with our stay with only small exceptions. We typically stay in privately owned rentals so are accustomed to a more personal relationship with the owner. There were far fewer amenities left in the home; cabinets were entirely bare. There were no storage solutions in the kitchen (tupperware/foil/plastic bags) and no condiments in the fridge. This was just unexpected. There are several games within view when you enter the property, almost none of which can be played due to missing pieces. They should be disposed of. The house was very clean and tidy but when we wiped up the water on the floor the towel came away black. The towel rack by the bathtub was not attached to the wall. There are signs of dirt/wear on the walls and drywall damage in some bathrooms. And someone left a lovely note for a family that wasn't us. Other than the floors clearly not having been mopped in awhile, I normally wouldn't comment. Because this is a commercially managed rental, I thought you might find the feedback beneficial.

Great location and home

Our family gathering with kids and grands. Our grand dog was also welcomed and loved her stay. Walking distance to beautiful oceanfront and relaxing at pool makes a perfect day. Bedrooms spacious and comfortable. Kitchen equipped well. Would book again!

Nice Big house close to the beach

Clean home with a nice cool pool. Kitchen layout is weird but we made it work. Lots of small appliances. 10 digit door code a bit hard to remember. Big family dining table is where the grand kids ponied up to color and play. Lots of privacy because the vacation house next to us was empty.

Overall good, small cleanliness concerns.

Overall the property was good. Plenty of room, lots of pots, dishes, utensils, etc. my main complaints were that the front screened porch was covered in bugs and dirt. The fabric shower curtain in the master bathroom had mildew all over the bottom, and on the second morning a bunch of black stuff came out of the overhead vent and all over the bed In one of the other bedrooms. It was not dust. Thankfully our friends had already gotten up before that happened. .

Cleanliness

Property was not clean. Dog fieces on carpet along with chewing gum. Water bottles left in rooms,cigarette butts left in ash trays on front porch,walls dirty from ac diffussers in ceiling, dirt and debris under coffee table, sand and trash under carpets. Very disappointed. When the check in survey was sent these issues were pointed out, only to get"sorry"

Perfect for Family Gathering

We stayed here for a small family reunion over Thanksgiving. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking a Thanksgiving dinner. I brought my own turkey roaster but everything else was provided. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Of course the pool was closed in November but we would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the pool and the beach, which is a short walk. Overall I would recommend this property.

A Great place to stay!

This is definitely a great place to stay! Other than a few oddities (front screen door, back door) everything was wonderful!. The Pool, the spaciousness, the bathrooms! Definitely will be booking this place again!

We rented this house for my daughters 21st birthday celebration. The house was as listed clean cute the pool was perfect. The beach was close enough to walk. We had a great time overall.

Family get together

The property was very nice and worked out well for our family. We had 3 issues upon checking in, housekeeping had not been there, no cable tv, and no internet. Housekeeping showed up later that day and did a good job. Cable was fixed the next day and the internet was fixed the next day. They opened the pool early for us was requested which was nice

Pups Paradise

Great, dog friendly, beach house with a screened in front porch and rooftop deck for enjoying morning coffee and afternoon naps. The pool was a perfect break from the beach which was a short block or 2 away. Lots of comfortable indoor and outdoor seating and cooking amenities like a clean, gas grill. The house is bigger than it looks in the photos.

Awesome location and perfect for our family. The people managing the property are on top of it. The dishwasher wasn’t working and the property manager was quick to send someone out to fix it the same day.

Exactly What Was Needed

My family and I came in for a gym competition and this location provided everything we needed and more! We tested it like home, as it looks like it’s the norm for renters of this property so far… I would definitely book this property for myself or another family trip again whenever!
