Una de las mejores casas en las que he estado

Hemos encontrado la tranquilidad que deseábamos. La casa está genial, situada en un sitio encantador y el propietario muy amable. La recomiendo para todos los que les gusta la naturaleza. Pasamos unos días alejados del bullicio de la ciudad con nuestros 2 gatos. Repetiremos seguro.

Lugar perfecto para familia y perros

El lugar es perfecto para disfrutar de la tranquilidad con la familia y perros, donde también puedes disfrutar de su piscina para refrescarte. La casa es acogedora y muy fresca, las camas son cómodas donde dormíamos bien junto con el aire acondicionado. El dueño nos acompañó y nos explicó todo perfectamente y muy amable. No nos faltó de nada para estar una semana, y los perros disfrutaron mucho. Sin duda, repetiremos en otro momento!

Fantastic holiday at Villa Verman!

We certainly found the jewel in the crown of Andalucía here. The views are as the reviews said, amazing. The Villa was imaculate on arrival, and everything we required was provided for us. I think we only saw 10% of the places we wanted to visit, so we extended our stay and will also rebook for this year. A big thank you to our hosts for looking after us during our stay. We would definitely recommend Villa Verman for privacy, peace and quiet, our 2 dogs enjoyed their endless walks in the countryside. Peter and Susan

Maravilloso

Hemos estados unos días y ha sido perfecto, hemos ido una pareja con un perro y no podíamos haber elegido mejor casa. Desde el primer momento Paul nos guío hasta la casa que se encuentra en el monte, en un lugar precioso, las vistas son inmejorables, se ve el valle y el mar al fondo. La casa está impecable, la limpieza es al detalle. La casa es grande, es muy espaciosa y fresca, lo cual se agradece en verano, además tiene aire. El jardín está cuidado y tiene varias zonas para estar tranquilamente, con su mobiliario correspondiente. La piscina está muy bien para refrescarte y está bien cuidada, como toda la casa. El jardín está vallado en mi caso iba con perro y me vino genial para poder estar relajado sin preocuparme, igualmente la casa esta alejada de otras viviendas y para pasear o dejarle un rato por ahí es genial no molesta ni le molestan. Paul el dueño de la casa de 10, muy simpático y agradable. Y siempre dispuesto si surge cualquier cosa. En resumen, si buscas una casa para relajarte, tranquilidad, privacidad y aire puro es tu casa.

Außergewöhnlich

Wir haben Ruhe gesucht und hier auch gefunden. Das war genauso wie wir es uns gewünscht haben. Leider ist das Haus sehr verwohnt und das Bad sehr schmutzig. Hier muss dringend renoviert werden.

I wanted solitude, and I got it

I needed a week off from people, and tried to find a quiet place where I could use my time on myself, and concentrate on my creative work. Boy, did I find the right place! Communication with the owner and the man (Jan) who was my contact when I was there was excellent. And when there was a problem, it got fixed. Great hosting all over! Kitchen was well equipped, same with the bathroom and everything else. Driving from the meeting point in Los Romanes to the house was... interesting. The gravel roads are narrow and bumpy, and not for novice drivers or cars with automatic transmission. Add the insanely beautiful views of the landscape that you have to force yourself not to look at when you're driving because the road need 100% attention, and you're in for an interesting driving experience. Wonderful! I'd recommend this place for anyone who needs a vacation without distractions. Alone or with someone special. This spot is definitely on my list should I need another creative vacation.

Perfect for people with dogs.

Lonely location, very nice hosts and everything you need is there. Magnificent views of the mountains and the sea. The journey is a little bumpy but manageable for every car.

Stunning views of sea and mountains from a lovely villa!

We stayed here for 5 nights in November. This one bed villa is located 10 minutes away from Lake Vinuella up a windy dirt track road behind the village of Los Romanes. We met our lovely host Paul who showed us the way to the villa. We drove there in a mini convertible. The villa can be found high up on the hillside with fantastic views of the mountains and sea. We chose it for the views and to get away for some peace and quiet. You don't have any neighbours directly. Paul and Gabrielle's villa is located on a nearby hill. If we had any concerns Paul was quick to assist. There is a covered sun terrace at the front with nice deckchairs and tables. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a long stay including a microwave and gas heated oven. There is a local shop in the village which is useful for supplies. It can get a bit cold in the evenings in the winter but there are radiators as well as air conditioning. All of the rooms are large. The bedroom has a big bed and two mattresses. The bathroom has a washing machine which was useful for us. There is good internet. We enjoyed many beautiful sunsets at the villa.

Peace & Quiet

Communications with host was excellent, we ended up arriving over an hour late and Paul was great. Met us at a local bar to guide us in to our accommodation. Total, privacy no-one overlooking, the plunge pool is to the side in wonderful shade by 3:30 (end of July). From mid-day the sun was too intense for us so the outdoor shaded terrace was a godsend. Lovely to have a good sized TV, we took our FireStick with us and had no problem streaming netflix in the evenings. Grab the pillows off your bed for some extra sofa bed comfort on the couch and the portable air-con in the bedroom, while loud was very welcome at night leading to height of summer temperatures. The star of the show though has to go to ‘Sparky’ the most delightfully friendly black & white dog. She is an absolute darling, please give her cuddles and treats. She bounds in with an energetic smile, and spinning greeting; 10 mins of fuss and then she’ll find a cool spot and sleep for the rest of the day and doesn’t beg for food but welcomes treats gently. We were in desperate need of secluded peace and quiet to recharge our batteries as hectic key workers and this did the trick perfectly. Bien, mais...

Au moment de notre arrivée nous avons été accueillie par Paul, très gentil , avenant, malgrès le fait de ne pas parler la même langue ,nous nous sommes néanmoins compris. Le trajet vers la location est assez endommagé (cailloux pointus, chemin de terre en pente, route étroite) nous aurions aimés une meilleur description vers le logement, prévoyez une bonne voiture et de bons pneus. Conservant la location, l'emplacement est sans vis a vis avec une vue magnifique, dégagée le matin comme le soir, seul bémol présence possible d'un chenil a 150m de la location, la maison typique andalouse est bien équipé, il est précisé un sèche-linge qui n'est pas présent ,peut être une erreur de traduction?... Dans les petites suggestions, peut-être une nouvelle literie car on sent que celle ci est en fin de vie. La piscine est bien, par contre même si celle ci ressemble, ce n'est pas celle présente sur la photo de l'annonce de location. A part cela de bonne vacance et de bonnes visites, la villa est bien située pour les différentes visites a faire. PS: sparky et le très gros chien de Paul sont très gentils.

Peace and Tranquillity

Thank you Paul and Gabrielle for our stay at "Villa Verman". We really enjoyed our stay, the peace and quiet along with the spectacular views were amazing. Great base for exploring the surrounding area. As Paul told us you really do need to have a hire car that is powerful enough to make the trip up the "country road" from Los Ramones to the villa. Having said that the trip was well worth it when you arrived at the villa. Thanks once again and we hope that we may return in the future.

Perfect Villa For Two

Outstanding hosts and property. Villa is very private with stunning views across mountains and valleys with views of the Med in the distance. Paul & Gabrielle are great hosts and provided excellent information in advance and help/hospitality when required during the stay. Lots of amenities within a 15 minute drive and well located for sightseeing further afield. We just shopped and then locked ourselves away for the week in the perfect isolation the property offers. This property is definitely recommended if you want tranquility, privacy in a stunning environment, we will be back just as soon as possible.

Little piece of heaven

I booked Villa Verman for a complete chilled getaway and that is exactly what I got, the villa is comfortable, clean and the views are spectacular. Paul and Gabrielle are wonderful hosts who made me feel so welcome and were always on hand if I needed anything which was really appreciated seeing as I was a lone traveller. The village is lovely and everyone you meet will make you feel so welcome too. Just a word of advice, if hiring a car from the airport, make sure it’s durable to drive up gravel hill sides! Again the views you have from the villa are better than you can imagine. Will be back soon!

Heerlijk verblijf in villa met bijzonder uitzicht en veel rust

Fijne goed uitgeruste villa op een hele mooie plek. Ik heb genoten van de ultieme rust op die plek in de bergen. Paul en Gabrielle zijn hele vriendelijke en hulpvaardige verhuurders .Ik kreeg elke ochtend een vriendelijk bezoek van twee van hun honden die kwamen checken of alles in orde was, en deden mij uitgeleide als ik op weg ging naar de spaanse les. Ik heb het er heel erg naar m'n zin gehad en de kans dat ik nog eens zal boeken is groot. Paul en Gabrielle hartelijk dank dat ik jullie villa kon huren en ik denk dat we elkaar nog eens zullen zien. Perfect peaceful getaway

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villa has everything you need and is clean and well kept. The views are spectacular from both the terrace and plunge pool and it was nice to take a walk around the surrounding area in the evening as the views are spectacular wherever you walk. Super comfy sunloungers (very important for a sun worshiper like me). Peaceful and totally private but if you want to socialise then it's just a 5 minute drive to the village which has a great restaurant, couple of bars and a couple of shops. Or in 25 minutes you can be on the beach at Torre del Mar which I liked as it wasn't full of the usual posers that can overun some resorts. We also took a trip to Granada which is a beautiful place. Paul and Gabrielle are lovely people who respected our privacy but were there if we needed anything. Loved it so much we want to go back next year. We did a big shop in Velez Malaga before driving to the villa and I would recommend this. The supermarket has special carrier bags for frozen stuff and we bought ice-cream and ice there and it was still frozen when we got to the villa. The fridge freezer is large so can accommodate a big shop. If you like a relaxing holiday away from it all then this is the place for you. Thankyou Paul and Gabrielle
