My wife and I have stayed in several nice homesOn Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees - by far the best views , hospitality, absolutely gorgeous, the house had everything and anything you could want …. BUT, the owners Rick & Gloria were fantastic…. Made us feel welcomed, down to earth and always available ….. over the top with customer service and we had a perfect week !!! Thank you Rick & Gloria

The property was beautiful with the most perfect view of the lake. Hosts were wonderful and even made us feel safe when some rough weather came through. Would definitely enjoy another trip in the future!Bonus points for having a contact who could help with a charcuterie board and birthday cake!

This is the most fully stocked house we have EVER stayed in! Huge spacious rooms, kitchen was amazing, hot tub perfect, and the view?! To die for!! We stayed here with our entire family which was 11 of us total and there was PLENTY of room! Loved it so much we stayed an extra night! Gloria and Rick were amazing and very fast at communicating! You will love this place!

5/5 – Even Better Than the Photos!This cottage was absolutely amazing! So often, you find that places don’t live up to the pictures—but not here. It actually topped the photos. It’s incredibly beautiful and peaceful, the perfect place to relax and unwind.The hosts were fantastic—thoughtful, accommodating, and they truly had everything you could possibly need during your stay. Every detail was considered.It was also perfect for our dogs! There’s a grassy, fenced-in backyard, and you can even close off the front fence so they can safely run and play. It’s so rare to find a spot that’s this welcoming for pets.We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be coming back!

Amazing and beyond expectations!! The hosts are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful - couldn't ask for better. There's so much attention to detail to the whole property, from the landscaping to the decorations. The whole house is stocked - plenty of towels, there's a whole game closet, and two refrigerators. The kitchen had all the utensils and cookware we needed, and even spices and a stand mixer. Tons of comfortable seating, inside and out. Loved the screened in porch, the fire pit, the hot tub, and having a boat dock. Location is great, right on the water but only a few minutes from town. Seriously can't wait to come back!!!

Sunrise Cottage is Spectacular!!! The home is beautifully decorated with comfortable, welcoming living spaces. Stunning views of the lake from the expansive deck area and the screened in porch as well as from all the large windows across the back of the lakeside home. Gloria and Rick, the hosts, were so warm and friendly. We highly recommend this home!

Beautiful Immaculate

I could write a litany of wonderful things about this property and hosts, so I'm going to try to keep it short. First of all, the pictures absolutely do not do it justice. This place has what you want in a lake or beach rental, where you walk in the door and look straight through the house through an entire wall of glass and see a panoramic breathtaking view of the water. We've stayed in a lot of short-term rentals and by far, hands down, this is the absolute most spotless and perfectly clean house ever.These hosts have everything you could ever hope or wish for. It is fully stocked with all of your cooking and comfort needs. They have gone over the top to make this place beautiful and comfortable for you. Absolute thoughtfulness in every tiny detail. When I rent on a lake or a beach house the things that make me choose a property are: 1. the view. I want that breathtaking view as soon as you come in. 2. cleanliness.3. solitude peace and quiet and preferably no neighbors. Well, on Grand Lake at the Cherokees it's pretty hard to find a place with no neighbors, but don't worry, these are the perfect neighbors that you can ever hope for. The neighbors on each side are permanent residents. They are quiet. They mind their own business, keep to themselves and are rarely seen. All three points - check check check. These folks delivered -in- spades!Simply Beautiful! Thank you Gloria and Rick!

Sunrises are the best

Watching the morning sunrises was my favorite. There was a lot of wildlife like a blue tailed skink, many frogs and birds. There was a lot of detritus in the water so we didn't swim much. Overall we really loved our stay.

Sunrise cottage, even without the sunrise.

Even though our weather did not cooperate, and Gloria joked that I “had not ordered the sunrise package“, our stay was delightful.We’ve stayed in many places. It is very evident that Gloria and Rick have put their heart and soul into making this a cottage that they themselves would want to stay in.I especially appreciated all of the small and thoughtful details.

The hosts are friendly and couldn’t be nicer. There are lots of seating areas, comfortable beds, and a beautiful view. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need. We hated to leave! Even though it rained quite a bit while we were there, we still got to enjoy the fire pit and hot tub, as well as fishing from the dock. We also had a fun afternoon on a boat rented from D3, which is just down the road.

This was our third year at the Sunrise Cottage and we are looking forward to our 4th year. Gloria and Rick are the most gracious hosts and do everything in their power to make your stay memorable. House is spacious and views are amazing. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. (Dishes, mixers, crock pots, pans…everything)The lake is perfect for swimming and just relaxing. We rented a boat from G3, which is only a few docks away, everyone had a great time.
