Beautiful Immaculate

I could write a litany of wonderful things about this property and hosts, so I'm going to try to keep it short. First of all, the pictures absolutely do not do it justice. This place has what you want in a lake or beach rental, where you walk in the door and look straight through the house through an entire wall of glass and see a panoramic breathtaking view of the water. We've stayed in a lot of short-term rentals and by far, hands down, this is the absolute most spotless and perfectly clean house ever.These hosts have everything you could ever hope or wish for. It is fully stocked with all of your cooking and comfort needs. They have gone over the top to make this place beautiful and comfortable for you. Absolute thoughtfulness in every tiny detail. When I rent on a lake or a beach house the things that make me choose a property are: 1. the view. I want that breathtaking view as soon as you come in. 2. cleanliness.3. solitude peace and quiet and preferably no neighbors. Well, on Grand Lake at the Cherokees it's pretty hard to find a place with no neighbors, but don't worry, these are the perfect neighbors that you can ever hope for. The neighbors on each side are permanent residents. They are quiet. They mind their own business, keep to themselves and are rarely seen. All three points - check check check. These folks delivered -in- spades!Simply Beautiful! Thank you Gloria and Rick!

Sunrises are the best

Watching the morning sunrises was my favorite. There was a lot of wildlife like a blue tailed skink, many frogs and birds. There was a lot of detritus in the water so we didn't swim much. Overall we really loved our stay.

Very nice updated cabin with beautiful views. Kind and gracious hosts. They went above and beyond accommodating us during our stay. Fully stocked kitchen and appliances. So many thoughtful details and decor. Great location, great value!

Sunrise cottage, even without the sunrise.

Even though our weather did not cooperate, and Gloria joked that I “had not ordered the sunrise package“, our stay was delightful.We’ve stayed in many places. It is very evident that Gloria and Rick have put their heart and soul into making this a cottage that they themselves would want to stay in.I especially appreciated all of the small and thoughtful details.

The hosts are friendly and couldn’t be nicer. There are lots of seating areas, comfortable beds, and a beautiful view. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need. We hated to leave! Even though it rained quite a bit while we were there, we still got to enjoy the fire pit and hot tub, as well as fishing from the dock. We also had a fun afternoon on a boat rented from D3, which is just down the road.

This was our third year at the Sunrise Cottage and we are looking forward to our 4th year. Gloria and Rick are the most gracious hosts and do everything in their power to make your stay memorable. House is spacious and views are amazing. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. (Dishes, mixers, crock pots, pans…everything)The lake is perfect for swimming and just relaxing. We rented a boat from G3, which is only a few docks away, everyone had a great time.

Perfect Cottage

Our stay was nothing short of amazing, upon entering you are greeted with the most beautiful water view. The house was spotless and well equipped with anything and everything your stay would require. The hosts were friendly, and very communicative, even came over and visited while we loaded up. Undeniably one of the best VRBO rentals I have ever rented hands down. Will be staying again when I return to the area. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Thanksgiving get away.

I would recommend this property to anyone. I met Rick, which is the owner and lives close by, which was a very nice guy. For this property to be pet friendly, you would not know that any pets had ever been in it, very clean and furnished with more than you would need. We will spend our next visit here again.

Our Favorite Place!

Coming to the "Sunrise Cottage" always delivers a perfect getaway for us. We have been there many times over the years. It is located in a beautiful setting and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Amazing property!

This is one of the best VRBO rentals you can find! Every aspect of the house is amazing from the lake view and proximity to town, down to the hand picked art and throw pillows. I highly recommend this house for your vacation.

This property is a dream!

Wow!! After reading the reviews, I had high expectations, and still they were exceeded. The views from this home are unreal. Almost every room has stunning, sweeping views. I think you could even go when the weather is awful and still have a great time because of the views from inside and how well the home is appointed. It was also pristine and charmingly decorated. Our favorite was the screened-in porch. The owners are as sweet as they can be, and the whole experience was an absolute dream. We have stayed at some really fancy luxury hotels that were far more expensive, and still this is definitely one of our favorite stays bar none. Do yourself a favor, and go for a visit!
