Beautiful lanscape

Not far from town, this home is in a quaint neighborhood with lots of greenery between the homes and they all have a beautiful view of the mountains. Perfect for morning coffee on a country porch overlooking beautiful hills.

Awesome house!

This house checked all the boxes that we needed. Definitely had room for our family of six and then some. Great location and easy to get to. We definitely enjoy the hot tub and the amenities. Will stay here again

Great spot

My wife looks for places based on reviews soI will be accurate here. The location was great, 20 min to skiing and 10 to shopping. Houses look close but I never saw a neighbor. My two boys (5/8) absolutely loved it and cried when we had to leave. Downstairs rooms probably not haunted but we stayed upstairs just in case. It is as described, no issues and no surprises. Great if you’re not used to the snow, great for families, highly likely we will return.

Great Place

We came up here for Thanksgiving. The house was beautiful and well kept. Great view overlooking the mountain. Easy to get to, even at night. Plenty of space so you don't feel on top of each other. There is enough to do in the area that aren't bad drives, maybe 20-30min each (Downtown Boone, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock). We recommend staying here.

1 Awesome Skyview - Beautiful

My family and I stayed at this property this week and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and in a great location. It seemed just about everything we wanted was about 10 minutes away. There were a couple of small problems with the property. The coffee maker was intermittent and the water dispenser on the fridge was not working.

Nice home

Overall a great home; however would have liked a bigger sitting area in living room where our group of 8 could sit together and watch a movie or play a game. Definitely needs more silverware and bigger TV's. Nice grill, large kitchen table for our group to share a meal together. Enjoyed the hot tub and jetted tub.

Beautiful Home

The hone was beautiful and had everything we needed while our family was in the mountains, but the furniture is very low for my grandparents (80+), little things they could improve, but overall nice home! I would definitely recommend Blue Ridge Mountain rentals though amazing people!

Great location and views

The property was even prettier in person than the pictures showed. The house was very comfortable for our group of 8. We were each afforded privacy, while the common areas still fit us all comfortably. Another refrigerator in the basement would have been nice, especially while playing pool. Our views, although not high and sweeping, were very pretty. The location was convenient to Boone and waterfall hikes. I would go back to this property again.

Whatta View!

My family and I loved our long weekend in Vilas! The highlights of the home were the hot tub and the hilly yard that was perfect for snow tubing. The kitchen was well equipped and big enough for all 10 of us to have family dinners. The basement shower didn’t drain well and the kids staying in that room ended up showering upstairs. The heat in the bedrooms was super hot and dry and we couldn’t find the thermostat to adjust it. We would definitely stay again, we loved it!

I searched and searched for the perfect property for a family weekend . I was highly disappointed by this property . I hope the actual owner of this property reads this review. From the 45 minute wait upon arrival because the keys were not there as stated . This property advertises a "theatre" room, there is no such thing. One of the worst parts is there is not even a room that can accommodate more than two people to watch TV, we wanted a family weekend to play games, watch movies and there is not space to do this, unless you can cram all your guests into a bedroom with a TV. The room with the pool table is too small to actually play pool, you have to use the short pool sticks to play and you cannot fit any other people in the room if you try to play . The basement stays so cold you had to use multiple blankets to stay warm, no thermostat in basement . The maid service clearly ignores the outside of the house, I personally cleaned up trash, empty beer cans that I could reach, clearly previous guests threw their beer cans off the deck and no one has cleaned them up. I think the rental company handling this property needs to pay closer attention to this property. The hot tub was very low on water and clogged with hair , we own a hot tub and took care of this as well prior to using . I swept up marshmallows and cereal under the furniture when we arrived and found quite an abundance of mouse droppings while sweeping. The home states that it sleeps 10, this includes a sleeper sofa that is absolutely uncomfortable unless you carry your own mattress to use on top of the one on the sofa. I dislike writing this negative review, however , I picked this property for all the amenities , yet they are grossly exaggerated . Parking at this rental is very poor as well unless you only have one vehicle . I would not rent this property again, sorry to say .
