Family get-together

Meeting up with my daughter and family who live abroad was a real treat. The villa was attractive, very spacious and well-equipped. A real bonus was the heated pool which we used frequently. We were glad the cleaner only came twice during the week we were there, as it does impact on your feeling of freedom. However, the beds were very basic, as were the bathrooms.

Excellent location for exploring southwest Portugal

The property is very well appointed and is as described in the listing. It is clean and has many amenities however the only downside is the lack of any soap/toiletries/kitchen condiments/spices etc. There is not a whole lot to see in the small town that this is near but that wouldn’t deter me from booking this villa again. There is so much to see in the surrounding area it is a fabulous location no matter what you’d like to do. Overall we had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it to others.

Alles in allem ein schönes Haus in bester Ausgangslage für Tagesausflüge und verschiedene Strände

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in der Villa Santa Maria. Wir hab uns die Lage bewusst ausgesucht und daher war es für uns perfekt - gute Anbindung für Tages- und Strandausflüge in alle Himmelsrichtungen. Ausstattung und Sauberkeit des Hauses ist sehr gut. Der Außenbereich und Pool ist auch super und auf Grund der Lage, kann man mit den Kids auch mal um 23 Uhr noch im Pool kreischen, ohne dass sich irgendein Nachbar beschwert. Alles in allem bekommt das Haus volle Punktzahl von uns, es gibt nur ein paar kleine Verbesserungsvorschläge von uns. 1. Die Außenbeleuchtung für den Pool- bzw. Terassenbereich ist nicht schön. Es gibt nur einen sehr hellen Scheinwerfer, der mit einem Bewegungsmelder angeht. Hier wäre eine schöne Außenbeleuchtung, die man an und ausschalten kann wünschenswert. Es gibt einen überdachten Terassenbereich mit großem Esstisch, dort ist die Beleuchtung ok. Aber wir haben immer abends und morgens unter der Markise gesessen und da fehlt eine Lampe und vielleicht auch an der hinteren Wand des Poolbereiches. 2. Verbrauchsmaterialien, die garantiert jeder Gast im Jahr kauft, aber nicht aufbraucht, wären toll. Es waren weder Salz, noch Pfeffer, noch Öl oder ein Abwaschlappen, Geschirrspültabs, Küchenrolle, Kaffee oder so in der Küche. Bis auf Tee war nichts da. Hier wäre ein Vorrat schön mit dem Hinweis an die Gäste "Bitte auffüllen, wenn leer". 3. Check-In Informationen (Schlüsselcode und WLAN) aktualisieren.

Spacious family villa

We recently stayed at the wonderful and spacious Santa Maria villa which is nestled on a hillside overlooking the village of Budens, and within easy walking distance to a supermarket and restaurants. Our family loved the large pool which was clean and pleasantly heated. Having Nazare the housekeeper come in every day was a nice touch and much appreciated. Good communications and response from the owners. Would definitely recommend this villa. Many thanks.

Great stay at a fantastic villa

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning villa close to Burdens, located in the beautiful southwest region of Portugal. With its impressive 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, including three ensuite, this villa was the perfect accommodation for our large group. One of the highlights of our stay was the luxurious heated pool, which allowed us to enjoy a refreshing swim even in the evenings. The added bonus of a BBQ area next to the pool made it ideal for hosting outdoor gatherings and enjoying delicious grilled meals. We spent many memorable evenings relaxing by the poolside, savoring the delightful ambiance. The location of this villa was an absolute delight. With its close proximity to a steakhouse, pizzeria, and other restaurants, we had no shortage of dining options just a short stroll away. Additionally, having a shop right across the road made it incredibly convenient for us to stock up on essentials. One aspect that truly impressed us was the cleanliness of the villa. The maid service provided was outstanding, and the villa was immaculately maintained throughout our stay. We felt truly pampered and well taken care of. The villa's location also made it an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas. We were spoilt for choice with the plethora of magnificent beaches. Each beach had its own unique charm, offering breathtaking views, crystal-clear waters, and some with a range of water sports to enjoy. It was a paradise, thanks for memories.

Spacious villa with good access to restaurants

After the disappointment of a cancelled trip to Croatia, we were very happy to find Kathy's villa available at short notice. It is very spacious and comfortable. The 3 bedrooms on the upper floor all have ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning. The living area is large and comfortable and the pool and terrace are very impressive. The pool was warm at all times of day and very clean. Unusually for large private villas there were 4 restaurants in walking distance. We ate at the trattoria on the golf resort which was fine and open on Mondays (they also do takeaway), the pizza restaurant on the main road which was excellent and busy and lastly "o tiago" in the village which was also excellent and very busy - we needed to book in advance Overall I'd say that the villa is an excellent base for families or groups of friends looking to explore the algarve and have a private place to relax

Wonderful

This villa had literally everything we needed and for a family stay with small children it was perfect. There was plentiful kitchen equipment, high chair, cots and even toys, pool toys, beach toys and videos not to mention the fantastic pool in which all the children stayed for hours. We love this area and know of the numerous wonderful beaches nearby and having the Intermarche and great pizzeria so close was a bonus and very useful. thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

Maison agréable et localisation idéale pour nous

Maison très conviviale et bien équipée. Nous avons apprécié la piscine chauffée, idéale en taille aussi pour un groupe familial. Mais aussi son environnement naturel et tranquille, pourtant proche des commodités et de sites intéressants à visiter en famille comme Sagres, Lagos et beaucoup de petites plages agréables et non surchargées même en pleine saison. Pas de grosses chaleurs grâce au vent toujours un peu présent mais très supportable. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir.

Kein Design-Haus, aber sehr benutzerfreundlich/großzügig und sehr gut gelegen (am Rand zum Naturschutzgebiet, daher nicht so "zugebaut" touristisch). Gute Wahl!

Boa localização e boas areas

Boa localização, perto de óptimas praias, de fácil acesso. Casa preparada para crianças com portas apropriadas e vedações, e jogos e brinquedos para a piscina que fizeram a delicia dos pequenos. O serviço diário de limpeza incluído falhou alguns dias. Excelente experiência. Obrigada kathy r

I really enjoyed the house and its privacy... no neighbours!! The only thing that could be improved is to have the minimum for the kitchen (soap for dishes, oil, salt and pepper). Kathy was very nice and very quick in her reply.

Villa mit vielen Möglichkeiten

Wir fanden in der Villa alles vor, was wir brauchten. Die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, alles sauber, gepflegt und gut geführt. Der Pool hat uns vor allem in der Mittagszeit, in der es zu heiß für den Strand war, erfreut. Nette Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort. Einzig der Straßenlärm des nachts war in einigen Zimmern ein Handycap, deshalb ein Punkt Abzug.

Amazing villa

The villa is stunning! It's located near Budens and only 10 min drive from a very cheap supermarket (Lidl). Close by is Sagres town and numerous beautiful beaches to surf at or just sunbathe on! The villa itself is huge! There's loads of space and is immaculate. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped for self-catering and the pool area is like a little paradise. We had a cleaner visit us every other day which was also a lovely touch - coming home to a spotless villa and freshly made bed after a day of surfing is amazing! Communication with Kathy is excellent. She's quick to respond and incredibly flexible. It's been a fantastic experience overall and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here. Just to note that a car is definitely required. Thank you Kathy and Nazare for making our stay so perfect!
