Location couldn’t have been better!

We did not get the apartment that I had paid for but they reimbursed me for the mix-up. The location is ideal, right in the middle of the old town area. We were 5 adults so the rooms were big enough with ample room for sleeping. When you are exploring Vienna, who stays in their room? It is an historic building, therefore, there is no air conditioning. Unfortunately, we had warmer than normal temperatures so more than the 2 fans provided would have been nice. I would definitely stay here again, but maybe at a cooler time of year!

Vienna Apartment

Fantastic location. Clean but a bit run down. Floor was coming up in places and only door/window had sign not to open. With 90F weather, we had to ventilate apartment and were able to open the door. After being in the apartment for a day, we received notification that we had to move bc our apartment had been given to someone else. We said we would not move bc we received the advertised apartment. After a few messages, the manager finally said ok. This was very strange and upsetting for our family, however the rest of our stay was fine.

Great location. Just needs a little tlc

Fabulous location. Safe. Easy. Clean. Comfortable beds. Good communications and value for family of 5. Really cool old building. Quiet. A few things would make it all 5 stars: clarity of which room you’re reserving. We were in the green painted apartment with gray tile bath. There is significant paint bubbling in the bath and peeling in one bedroom. Third bedroom doesn’t have windows and is quite warm. No ac but that was fine as it wasn’t hot when we were there. No laundry in unit - it may be available in a common area. Overall I highly recommend for a highly enjoyable launch pad for Vienna adventures.

Should not be on VRBO platform. Many of the photos are of a different apartment. The bedroom photos are accurate but the one bathroom is only accessed through one of the bedrooms. The ‘living space’ looks like a waiting room in a government office, and has no kitchen. There is a beverage cooler and Nespresso machine but nothing else, not even a sink. There are picture frames on the walls, but they are all empty except for the price tag. If there is a patio somewhere, it cannot be seen or accessed from this unit, and one bedroom has no windows. The photos of a second bathroom, and of a large living area with kitchen table and patio doors, are from somewhere else. We turned around and booked a hotel instead.

Es fing nicht gut für uns an. Bei Check-in war die Wohnung nicht sauber. Alte Handtücher, alte Bettwäsche. Nach Intervention bei der Agentur, kam eine Person zum Saubermachen. Gesamt Wartezeit etwa 2 Stunden bis wir einziehen konnten. wireinziehen konnten

Great location!

The location was very convenient to all of the innerstadt and check in was easy. There was plenty of space for our family of five and having a kitchenette with refrigerator was a plus. Unfortunately, our apartment had pretty severe water damage/buckling in the floors in the living area which made the apartment feel a bit dirty. Also, we were not allowed to access to the large outdoor space, which is part of the reason we booked the apartment. The patio closure was apparently mentioned in the fine print of the listing but I didn’t notice when I initially booked. Overall, high marks for location and historic charm, but this particular unit needs some work. Lots of potential.

Short of what was advertised

The property is in an optimal location, couldn't ask for a better location. The patio, a significant draw to the property was closed. The floor had significant water damage such that the floor bubbled up 10cm or so in places. The lights in the bedroom do not turn fully off and have a night light feature that was highly annoying. Overall it was ok.

UNIT NOT AS LISTED

We arrived to find that we had been placed in a unit that was different from the one we had booked. And while the unit was nice, it was lacking the kitchen table and chairs shown and and listed as an amenity. The unit also had SEVERAL major maintenance issues (eg. major water damage around the bathroom window and bedroom lights that remained dimly lit even when off, just to list the worst offenders). Given we arrived late, we focused on getting our children to bed and then contacted the host. They were quick to respond in the morning and tried to remedy the table situation by dropping off a high chair (but no tray) for my son. The lighting situation was never addressed and we slept in partially lit rooms for our entire stay. The location is the redeeming feature of this unit. Hopefully they can sort out all the maintenance issues and fix the crossed listings. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Beware when booking.

NOTE: the picture in the listing is not the apartment we were given, so quite misleading. It seems like they manage several flats in the building, so it's not sure which you'll be given.However, we did not have issues with the flat itself, and the location is incredible. I just would have paid far less for the flat we were given vs the flat that's in the pictures.
