Great place for extended family trip to DC

I earned many points from my brothers and sisters and their spouses (13 people in all). They loved everything about the house - its looks, location, setting, supplies, decorations, etc. We all would have stayed for more than our allotted time if we could have. We became very adept at using the Metro for touring and eating. Susan was a great hostess and helped me with things such as grocery stores, restaurants and Metro parking. I would recommend her and her house to anyone.

Spring Break 2025

We loved the house and location! There were 10 of us, 2 grandparents, 4 adult children and 4 grandkids! We had a 12 passenger van, so it was nice to have parking and was very convenient to the Metro!

Perfect relaxation

I choose this property because of the number of king beds for our group of 9. This property delivered everything it advertised! The home and lot are snuggled into a lovely, low key neighborhood. The home was very clean. Two of us are quite allergic to cats and we were not bothered at all by by allergies. Our family was able to unwind after days of bustling touring. The drive from DC was no problem but parking for our large van was nearly impossible as we needed 7 foot height, so plan on using the metro if using a large vehicle. The beds were extra firm. We never heard or saw the owner the whole time. We all definately would stay there again if we have the chance.

Wow! What a place!

Our family of six along with two other families of four each stayed at this amazing home. There was so much room and different places to sit and enjoy this home. The movie room was an awesome place to gather along with the living room and front porch. Our kids had a blast and the adults enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere here. Susan was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to a larger group looking for close proximity to the DC Metro but still have that peaceful feeling.

We made a training room in the movie theatre space and was able to hold a small workshop. Greta privacy and access to restaurants and things to do. Property manager is great, strong recommend

Solheim Cup Experience

I invited 7 other friends to come to Virginia to watch the US Women play against the Europeans in the Solheim Cup The house was amazingly clean, with a well appointed kitchen and all baths and many games were available for us as well. The location was perfect for us and the driveway big enough for our cars. Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Unique and beautiful older home with so much character and charm.

Our family was in town for my father in law’s services at Arlington National Cemetery and needed a larger home for all of us to be together. This home was perfect for that. We each had our own space yet plenty of areas to gather. Susan the host was excellent with communication and accommodating when we needed something. We can say that being in this house made a difficult time a little easier.

Family gathering

Our family has had an annual gathering for the past eight years. This property was by far the most lovely, comfortable and welcoming! The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Multiple spaces to gather together. All was just lovely. Not only did we enjoy the inside, but the porches were wonderful in the morning. The yard was perfect for kickball and wiffleball games. Susan was very quick and attentive in her communication with us. We can highly recommend this lovely house.

First Family Trip to D.C. Area

I had taken my daughters to D.C. when they were 8 and 10 - and they still talk about it. They have their own children now who range in age from 7 to 17 and we wanted them to have the same experience. We found the perfect house that would accommodate all 11 of us for the week. This "Huge Gilded-Age Home" allowed us plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as spacious common areas that provided for various activities. The well stocked kitchen was awesome, with wonderful appliances and plenty of seating. The location is close to the Metro which made trips into D.C. very painless. The "grands" will hopefully be talking about this trip the way their mothers have. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us.

Best Stocked Home

The property is beautiful and peaceful. It is more stocked with creature comforts and things you need at a house that you dont even realize you need until you do. When i did contact the owner sheas very communicative. I would definitely recommend this VRBO. The TV in living room and media equipment in theatre are kind of confusing...

Family DC Trip 2024

Wonderful!

The house was exceptionally clean, comfortable and well stocked. The kitchen had anything supply one could possibly need to cook meals from simple to gourmet. We especially appreciated the pantry staples with just about any spice or cooking oil you may need. There were plenty of entertainment options available including the movie theatre screen, games and workout area. Susan was prompt in her communication and provided very clear, detailed information for check-in, check-out and tips on navigating the area. We highly recommend this rental!
